It was a nice hotel very clean and well done for the price! The staff are so helpful especially the night manger lucky! When Howe first arrived we were really annoyed and tired but the entire staff including lucky tried their best to check us in and lucky said they prioritize their customers and that gave me a glimmer of hope. When we were leaving for the airport and having a hard time with the Uber he tried to get us a car as well. Overall I enjoyed my stay at the hotel the staff especially are amazing people there was this one Indian man I saw at breakfast he was always nice and talked to me and my family !

Friendly and efficient check-in service. Stayed 2 nights starting on a Sunday, parking is limited and was full by Monday. Ate downstairs on Sunday - no salad available. Breakfast is good, eggs can be cooked to order. Room (5th floor) well appointed and bed comfy, but bathroom toilet and shower a little shabby - hot water seemed to be in short supply Monday morning! Would stay there again😃

Spent two nights at the hotel! Staff are very friendly and polite! Rooms are very clean and comfortable! Not forgetting the staff at the dinning area, they're very keen to help you with all your concerns!

Not much to say just a hotel and room friendly staff clean and tidy, could have had an ice bucket facility but not a major issue, plenty of breakfast selection although there was only scrambled egg, beans, bacon, and sausages a full English with mushrooms, black pudding, plum tomatoes, fried bread would have made for a real good hearty breakfast. Would not put me off staying again tho.

Attending a conference here, rooms were adequate and clean. Staff could have been friendlier also limited parking, but they do validate parking across the road. The over flow car park is accessible via a convenient subway. The breakfast offered was a typical offering but hit the spot!

Nice hotel, nothing special but the room was clean and the staff were friendly. It took them a while to find our booking but it was all fine in the end. Can't complain. Breakfast is good and has a lot of selection.

It was a wonderful stay at this hotel. I really enjoyed staying there. The staffs were friendly and co operative. They were really quick at responding to our queries. The room was really comfortable and they provided a hair dryer, an iron board, study table and ofcourse a very comfortable bed. They have a paid parking area outside. This hotel is located near the city centre, so it is pretty east to get all sort of transport. Overall, I will be staying there in the future and would suggest to stay at this place for a nice and comfortable stay.

The welcome and efficiency of the staff was faultless from reception all the way through to the guys who served us breakfast, who were the best. The room was also spotless and comfortable. My only gripes were with maintenance and tech. The wifi was seamless also. However the tv smart remote didn’t really work so I was unable to connect with any of my streaming services on the big screen. Also any hook or rail attachment on the walls were all loose and not fit for purpose and needed attention. We also had to ask for a bath plug as ours was missing. That being said, once we asked for one it was with us before we finished dinner. On the whole a warm welcome, comfortable and clean. Thankyou

So a lady called sandy cancelled my one night stay on the 16th of sep because apparently the discount was for 2 nights ( petrolheadonism) this wasn’t listed anywhere, they should of honoured the one night but would rather cause me stress and hassle and cancel my one night! Total dishonest management right from the top, I would never think of staying here if that’s how flippantly management can disregard my stay without even thinking they should honour the original booking and leaving me in the sh*T with only a week to go to find alternative accommodation!!! VERY BAD STAFF, VERY BAD HOTEL!!! DO NOT STAY!!!!!!!!’

For an overnight stay it was really good. Large, clean room with safe and plenty of hangers. Tea and coffee provided. Reception and restaurant staff very good. Nice breakfast. I would stay here again if in the area

We booked two rooms for one night and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The service was very good, the hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very delicious and plenty of it and we would definitely return as overall we had a nice experience.

Visited for a family birthday. Very disappointed. Positives. Checked in early and breakfast was OK. Checkout staff very pleasant. Negatives. Slammed with a £12 parking fee which wasn't mentioned at the time of booking just private parking. Bed was dirty see photos. The shower curtain was too short for the bath so our floor ended up like a swimming pool. Went to the bar for a drink at 14.35 but no staff so we left at 15.15, during which time other customers had come and gone without seeing anyone, 4 different people.Card details taken again at the bar at the end of the night and a £30 holding charge taken. Drinks from another customer tried to be put on my room by the bar man ( who incidentally I couldn't understand). Took 35 minutes to sort out. Got locked out of our room at 10.30am as did all of our rooms when checkout was mid day latest. Will never return to this hotel who want guests to rate it 10 out of 10, no way, 4 at the most.

Stayed for work, staff were very helpful, especially Karolina on reception who was very polite and efficient sorting out a room mix up. Room was clean, tidy and comfortable. Ate in the restaurant, food was good, service was a bit slow, but again good. Will stay again when in the area.

Excellent stay, attended the JIVE function, welcomed by Karolina on the front desk nothing was too much trouble she assisted us willingly on several occasions. Karen and Simran were serving at the bar, again service with a smile although busy really made an effort to engage quickly. Room was to a good standard and facilities were more than adequate.

Great location close to town and plenty of transport links. Good onsite and off site parking available close by. Rooms are clean, comfortable and well tended. The staff are polite and helpful, always willing to go the extra mile. The food onsite was very good but if you feel like venturing out there are takeaways near by. Worth the money and would stay here again. Recommended.

Staff were really nice and helpful and especially Karen and Stellia, who arranged for me to get some special double cream just before midnight to go in my coffee. Much appreciated. Meeting at hotel for an event with friends, rooms nice and clean.

Visited to donate blood to find that the hotel wasn't allowing people donating blood to park at the venue. They recommended I park across the street in the towns car park however that car park has one set daily rate until 7pm so I ended up paying £5 to be there for less than 1 hour in order to donate blood. I would have thought that for a good cause the hotel could help encourage those giving blood by letting those donating park there for the short time they are visiting.

First time of staying here. Wasn't too happy to start with, as we're told room would be ready at 2pm. after a long drive, we arrived at 4pm. We're rather tired and wanted to rest and freshen up. As we were meeting friend in the evening. We were told on arrival (4pm) that room was dirty. and that we could go in it yet. Eventually at 10 past 5 we were given keys to our room. It was a lovely room though.

We stayed for 2 nights last month as part of a wedding party. It was comfy, clean and the staff were very helpful and professional. In particular, Sue was a complete star at breakfast time, nothing was too much trouble and she’s a real asset to the hotel.

Stayed here for a week a year ago on business and a couple of days recently for leisure. The service is excellent, I asked for a high floor corner room by email and they were more than happy to oblige. I explained to reception I was on a getaway from work and just wanted to lock myself away for 2 nights to relax, she took care of everything so I wouldn’t be disturbed. The rooms are fantastic and a really high standard, probably more comparative to a Crowne Plaza level than a Holiday Inn. The restaurant is really cheap by comparison to other IHG hotels and best of all standard check in is 2pm! The only downside is the expensive parking (£12 a night) but the room rate is cheaper than other local hotels of lesser rate. Highly recommend this hotel.

Within walking distance of Stevenage train station. Welcoming and approachable staff. Room was excellently appointed and well laid out. Clean, tidy room. Air conditioning was efficient and fairly quiet. The hotel is situated beside a main road, however road noise within the room was negligible. Would definitely stay here again.

Visiting again on business and have to say its one of the best, if not the best hotel for service, food, etc, I've been in Thats taking into account I've travelled over the world too! Coming back in a few weeks time again, so it will be a pleasure to see you all again, but a BIG thank you for the lady attending breakfast, she always goes the extra mile, never forgets my gluten free needs Bringing the wife and children at some point in the future

Lovely place, nice staff. Good bar hours especially Karen orchard who was extremely welcoming kind and resourceful. Help me book breakfast for the morning and just all round friendly. Definitely recommend!!!

If you are going to stevenage and need somewhere to clean and sleep. Look no further, holiday inn is there to help you. Rooms are very clean and the staff are really helpful, even if a runaway bee enters your room, they will send a huntress to help you catch that tiny insect. Breakfast is really good and satisfying, but I only tried dinner once and the burger I ordered was the dryest and most overcooked burger I ever had the displeasure of eating. Even though there is limited parking in front of the hotel, they will give a really good deal on token parking close to the hotel.

Great customer service in restaurant for breakfast, at the bar and on check-in and out. The room was large enough as asked for but there was a muddy footprint on the net for the window and the cornices of the shirting board can do with being replaced. Apart from those small issues. It's a fantastic place for business or leisure.

Lovely cleaner hotel really well presented and facilities on site are excellent. My partner and I are staying for a food festival all weekend so we are having to wake up really early and come back late in the heatwave so we are absolutely shattered. It took us 3.5 hours to arrive here from our hometown in Wales. Our first night was pleasant considering we arrived late in the evening and breakfast the following morning didn’t disappoint. We’ve come back from working today to a very clean room and have no complaints there. However, at the restaurant and bar there is a redhead server who needs to rethink her career choice. My partner ordered us two cokes as I suffered from heatstroke in this heat and she gave us our drinks after a good wait being ignored which we let go. We sipped our drinks to find they weren’t full sugar and when we asked another server she shouted to us “we only serve Pepsi”. Apparently the only way to change our drinks to something with sugar was to speak to their manager so the other server pinged for him. The manager came down and was really apologetic and we explained we didn’t want the fuss we just wanted a sugary drink to bring our energy levels back up! So he went back to the bar to change our drinks to lemonade as they don’t serve any full sugar coke or Pepsi (which wasn’t explained to my partner upon ordering) and we overheard her saying to him “can’t they read the sign clearly showing there’s Diet Pepsi and Pepsi max” which we were so taken back by because the way she spoke to her manager you wouldn’t think he was her manager! He came back and apologised again and we told him that we heard her comment and I said she needs to rethink her career choice and we took our drinks back to our room because what was meant to be a wind down drink was far from that. That woman needs to give her head a wobble and rethink her career if she can’t be polite front of house staff. We had a hard day, we weren’t rude and a little explanation could’ve avoided this entirely. Considering we paid £300 for this weekend stay I wouldn’t recommend this particular place purely because of that rude excuse of a lady which is a damn shame because the hotel and location is beautiful. Thanks again to the manager for resolving it however we have a bad taste in our mouths after having to deal with her.

Hotel is what you would expect from a Holiday Inn. Be warned over the lack of parking but you can park across the road for a subsidiary from the hotel. On both occasions I was there I made good use of the 24hr check in... But no problems with checking in etc which is starting to become a novelty!! Breakfast was ok. Everything you'd expect but no bells or whistles. It's a good location so would definitely stay again.

Amazing! I stayed here for three nights for a work course so I didn't get many chances to leave my room. The staff could not be any more helpful! I couldn't have house keeping come in the room due to being on a virtual course, so by the time I had a chance to call for housekeeping they had left for the day. The ladies from reception came up to my room and changed my bedsheets and tidied the room for me! The food was amazing, hot and a fast delivery to my room every day! When I went down to the bar every day after my course had finished the bar staff knew what glass of wine I wanted, which seems like a silly thing to mention but it just made my stay feel more personal. Aside from being there for work this was one of the best stays I have had in any hotel. Thanks for everything! :)

Very good hotel. Well worth a try if staying in Stevenage. Good rooms and excellent customer experience. Sparce dining room while functional lacks character. Otherwise it would be a 5 star experience.

Nice enough place. Friendly lady that booked me in. Decent food at the restaurant with friendly service. Room TVs could do with an upgrade, maybe they are better in other rooms. Overall a pleasant stay.
