Firstly, First time fishing here, I was hesitant when I turned up cause its busy, even in the morning , alot of nighters, however got my swim and set up. Important to remember, even if you don't catch here the view is amazing, loads to do quite picturesque! The ONLY negatives are the Swans. Balls of steel these bad boys don't care. Had to recast a couple of times cause they can get in the way, Also since they have opened the adventure park all you can hear is people on the zipline constantly but you get used to it I haven't seen loads of fish being pulled out but highly likely down to timing of me being there, have spoke to people that have pulled out 20 pounds plus. Would recommend, it's a lovely lake and will deffo go back there for a night session

Excellent choice from 3 lakes. Good shop, excellent service and helpful staff. Been trout fishing on one lake and silver fishing on one of the others, over 50 fish caught in poor weather conditions. Nice surrounding and can take dog provided you don’t let it run around. Highly recommended, going to fish river when season starts.

I really enjoyed this fishing lake and the tackle shop has a large variety of baits and kit. £10 for a day ticket. Was a bit muddy but at this time of year is not a surprise. Lots of other things to do on site such as archery, axe throwing, Segway, golf, zorbing, RC car track and more. Restaurants and toilets very handy. Well worth a visit for all the family

I only fly-fish for trout here and used to live nearby and fished here when I first started a decade ago, but the lake was a larger, different one, now turned over to coarse, but the smaller lake remains a great place to fish. I had always considered Rib Valley my ‘lucky lake’ as I caught a 5 pound trout here many years ago then last autumn on a return trip from Stansted to my home in Kent I thought I'd 'pop in' and have a quick fishing session. It was the tail-end of hurricane Doris and properly windy so I considered my chances very slim. But lo and behold I caught a 4.5lb trout, pictured) which qualified me for the local TroutMasters competition, organised by Rib Valley trout fishing manager Michael Clarke. Thus yesterday I competed again here in my very first competition and caught 4 fish, one of 4lb 10oz, winning it for me by 2 ounces. So on to the final in October! Anyway, it is indeed my lucky lake and there are good-sized fish there for all, so give it a go!

Great fishing with beautiful views

Like a circus. Owner cares about the money only , carp fisherman pay £30 for a night get no swim have to have a landing net and a unhooking mat but Jimmy foreigner has 1 person fishing a gazebo up 6 guests barbecue and skinning bream on the bank...... truly spoiling a once nice place

I went there 4th times. No fish and nobody catch. Only fresh air! I do not recommend this lake.

Lovely big lake .Well maintained. Friendly bailiffs. Spectacular surroundings . Slow on the fish for this time of year . Deffo going back too do a 48 hr session in the warmer times.Went back , no carp but had about 15 tench and of course the 2 runs that managed too get away .

Fantastic place to go fishing👍 It's great for beginners starting out and experts. Nice polite bailiffs, helpful etc. There's a tackle shop on site and again the staff are helpful and polite. I've been many times there and will continue to go. Thanks all and tight lines 🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣

I'm doing a 24-hour on the Lake it's my first time looks beautiful here. staff very friendly have to wait and see what fish we get fingers crossed

Too expensive £32.50 for 24 hrs, Not baliffed properly, people 2 swims up with tents and fires, and fish being nicked

This actually a nice lake but with a few issues sorted it could be amazing. A few of us came here and all caught 20+lb carp although it wasn't easy. They have a lot of crays here but unfortunately they don't even try to manage them so they will be an issue but there are a few ways to combat them as carp anglers know plus a few rats of which again are not combated. The lake bed seems quite clean but it is a mixed lake so tench an other fish will be caught while going for the carp but the potential of hood carp and multiple catches is good. If the crays and rats were at least bring tried to sort my mark would be higher. 7.5/10

Plagued by crayfish. Website doesn't mention them, shop didn't mention them. 1 small tench in 24 hours between two of us. Better options locally

Great Lake came down for another week end and not the first time spoilt by a group of Eastern Europeans 6 sharing one tent casting over anglers lines and breaking branch’s from tees to burn on a fire when approached by another angler they got aggressive and threatening they were cooking what they caught Not what I wanted to see Unless something is sorted anglers will simply avoid the place

Lovely lake, lovely location. Bit noisy during daytime due to other activities around the lake. Carpark it's bit far if you want to fish on the opposite side from the carpark

Fantastic place. The fishing ponds are well maintained with the Bailiff coming round on a regular basis to check how things are going. The tackle shop is well stocked and the staff are very knowledgeable. Maggots and worms are sold on site aswell.

This place was so helpful, the people are really friendly, they lent my freind a rod as his one was not a proper fly rod,the scenery is amazing with the also lots of different wildlife

Lovely lake. People at the tackle shop always helpful, even in Corona times. Other businesses there aswell but not for me, I just go to fish, worth a look. Never know what you may find.
