We went there to see snowdrops. The place is quite well maintained and pretty. There are a few gardens which should look attractive in a few weeks. The on site restaurant was closed but the community centre nearby was open serving drinks, sandwiches and cakes. Parking was free, big enough. Dogs not welcome.

Bennington Lordship Gardens is well renowned for it's awesome array of snowdrops. It is an atmospheric and magical place full of little surprises and I loved every minute of my day spent there. There are refreshments at the local church hall where some some super cakes and jams can be enjoyed. It is a place I will go back to time and time again. Thank you to all who make it possible. This is a beautiful garden to explore with it's house and castle ruins. You will find both formal/imformal gardens and at the moment a beautiful collection of Snow drops. I would highly recommend the cream teas here!!

Chilli festival was great. Good selection chilli but other products were available. Great for kids, clowns, puppets, face painting and live show. Grounds and hall very nice. Entrance price very reasonable. Sadly no dogs allowed but for a good reason as some of the passages are a little narrow.

For three weekends in February each year, the Bennington lordship moat becomes a carpet of white. The display this year seemed even more spectacular than usual

A misty morning with trees, snowdrops and buildings eerily appearing as the sun warmed everywhere up. Beautiful displays of snowdrops and crocuses with daffodils beginning to show

Snowdrops are absolutely beautiful and well worth a visit in February. When you look closely there are so many varieties. They are a sight to behold. Plenty of parking. Lovely tea room serving delightful cakes.

Beautiful place. It was an honest mistake that we walked to the gardens, thinking they were open. One of the staff told us they were closed, but let us see the rest of the place after paying. So yes, it was just us in the whole garden. After the walk, we headed to the Village Hall Cafe and had one of the most delicious scones. Next to it is their mini library.

Lovely gardens with the best entranceway ever. The walled flower walk is beautiful and cake and teas available in the village hall very tasty.

We visited on Thursday 28th Feb. Although the snowdrops had gone over, there were lots of helebores of various colours to enjoy. I loved their ancient looking 19th century folly gate-house and what i think are the ancient castle ruins. In the tea room, tea was tasty, I had 2 cups and a delicious hot chocolate later on. Cream tea was 1 scone with plenty of jam and cream. Also tasty and not expensive. I also loved the fact that we were able to see this quirky room inside an otherwise private family house. Normally Benington Lordship Gardens are 5 stars it wasn't their fault that the snowdrops had gone over.

Lovely gardens to wander around and enjoy the spring flowers! Toilets open. Enjoyable couple of hours with my 10 and 15 year old daughters

Lovely walks around beautiful gardens. Even more special when it's only open a few days a year. Highly recommend the gardens and a walk around the town

Bennington Lordship Snowdrops. We didn't pick the best day to visit for weather, however the gardens were well worth the visit, the village is a lovely English village and visit on a Sunday to get the benefit of the concert. Don't forget to get your cream tea just to put the cream on top of your visit.

👍👍 A fantastic park with reasonable Sunday parking at £1.50 for the whole day. Abundant walking trails along the river, made even better if you try a hiking app called Komoot. It's a kid's paradise, boasting climbing nets, swings, and even a mini rock climbing area. Don't forget the skateboarding spot...

👍👍 Free to visit but there is a small charge for parking on the premises, there are clearly marked routes that take in all the lodges for viewing a wide range of birds. Most are wheelchair accessible, the high point is the kingfisher pool a fair walk from the main entrance, winter and spring are great...
