Lovely place, but the council really needs to clean it up and get on top of the problem of glass on the footpaths. The lagoon itself.while looking good from afar, is absolutely filthy when you get close up. The ducks leave a wake of filth behind them when they swim, and anything living in, on or around it will be getting sicker and sicker from the polluted water. It's heartbreaking to see :( I spoke to some ladies taking samples to look for Newts, and they were shocked by the oil and other pollutants. Letter to MP incoming ! 17/08/23 Just asked Thames Water why they are pumping in the lagoon which is apparantly to introduce oxygen removed by the presence of RAW SEWAGE ! No they will not be cleaning it up despite being responsible for introducing it ! MP's just tell you it's Thames Waters issue and they have no intention of cleaning it ! 4/09/23 Thames Water still onsite pumping Water. The logic goes if the bacteria eat the poop and the bacteria need oxygen if you give it to them they get rid of the poop. What about all the other stuff that gets flushed though. I'll be checking back as engineers onsite don't know. 12/09/23 Still pumping, apparently for another week. Water is still foul and I also worry that spraying the water will actually aerosolize the pathogens in the water !!!! ๐Ÿคข๐Ÿคฎ๐Ÿคข 24/09/23 Thames Water left abruptly left behind a load of junk and the lagoon looks as dirty as ever!

We went to The Lagoon for my son to feed the ducks. It is a lovely location surrounded by mature trees and other plants. There were some gorgeous wild rabbits which was extremely excited about. The Lagoon itself was sadly overgrown. Although the grass areas were beautifully mown the edges of The Lagoon were high with nettles and the like. This may be purposely done to stop people falling into the water but in reality it increases the risk because the only real place to feed the birds from is a brick wall at one end where dirt from the water gathers. Last year there were more accessible places near the water's edge so quite why things are different this year only the council know. Hopefully this can be rectified to the enjoyment of all.

Much improved parkland with ducks and wildfowl on the water. Lots of new trees planted and a new footpath around the lake.

There is not a lot to see but it is a nice place to picnic. We go there to do stretches and yoga in the fresh air

Better in the summer, but waterfowl population seems to vary massively and paths are rarely cleared so can get very muddy.

Very well kept park/dog walking area, nice and open with some small rugged walks as well, apart from walking and or feeding the ducks not much there for kids to do, free car park, enough space for around 25/30 cars, worth a visit.

Lovely little spot with ducks and swans to watch on the water. Can walk up the slope through the trees by the golf course. The water does smell a bit at the end.

Good place to walk. Poorly maintained and needs a massive cleanup as full of rubbish and water is disgusting.

๐Ÿ˜  This is a review for the Christmas lights. They are terrible this year (2023). Nothing like last yearโ€™s great light display. Weird & small almost like a local Halloween thing. No guides as advertised. Avoid!
