£18.50 to get in and worth every penny. What an amazing place! Perfect for history lovers as a guided tour included in price where you can learn so much. No flash photography allowed. The gardens are extensive and the kids will love it. Something fun around every corner. Sculptures, dinosaur trail, a fort and a playground. Reasonably priced cafe on site and toilets throughout. There is a tower to climb, a maze and a small museum. Staff were friendly and extremely knowledgeable and were happy to chat and answer questions. I really cannot recommend this place enough. 5 plus stars!

A lot to do between the dinosaurs trail, the wonderful wood walk with statues in wood to find, they loved the hill. Then we went to the fort : great castle to play in then some slides for older ones , a great playground and we didn't visit the house again but we did before lockdown and my son loved it.

Great place. You can spend the whole day here and you will not be bored. Adults will be pleased to visit the beautifully maintained palace, children running around the park in search of dinosaurs. An additional attraction is a great children's playground

Such lovely historical place to visit. We arrive by train until Stevenage and use call a Uber(very easy to reach the house). Nice souvenir shop and cafeteria. The house is very well preserved and everyone are very helpful. Very cute as well the dinosaur trail. We love to be here.

Absolutely amazing, a touch of luxury and opulence. The classic car show added such great experience to our visit. What a gem of a place, well worth a visit. The gardens and Jurassic park a must for all visitors!

Stunning gothic mansion, well worth visiting. House itself is beautiful and Gary the guide was fantastic. Garden is amazing and dinosaur trail for kids was superb. We took picnic with us. Cheaper if you book in advance. I would definitely recommend, lovely family day out.

Great place. We were 2 adults & a 4.5 age child. Walked the lovely grounds & gardens first, with maze dinosaur Park, brass rubbing, sculptures etc. Had our picnic at one of the tables outside and then moved to the Adventure Playground. Great area with huge slides. Would thoroughly recommend this place. Also had good parking areas. Wasn't busy at all on the day we went in July.

Was fantastic for gigs in the 90's and is still a fantastic family or couples day out. House is amazing for adults to wander around and chat to the staff. Grounds are beautiful and there's even some dinosaurs for the children and a play area. Cafe was lovely too. Fab day out. X

Knebworth House and gardens are really interesting with lots to see. Access to the house is by guided tour - The house tour was great (kudos to Kevin!) with lots of history on the house, the family, artefacts on display and the estate in general. I wouldn't recommend taking younger kids (under 5) though. The gardens are really interesting with a maze and dinosaur models in the trees. The park is great with a huge fort and a range of big slides built into the hillside. It is a long walk from the house to the park/slides/fort, I would recommend driving.

The gardens look amazing. Didn't find the entrance to the house and the weather was so miserable we skipped the playground. Regardless that is too expensive place to visit. When we were there it was the old cars show and there were massive queues on the toilets and on the only 3 places you could get food. I'm quite disappointed.

Lovely country house steeped in history with an illustrious visitors' book - QE1, Dickens, Churchill, JM Barrie, AA Milne, Mick Jagger ... A shame that you need to go on crowded, overlapping house tours, albeit with charming, knowledgeable guides. Found the lovely quiet gardens and majestic, ancient trees more to my taste. If only those trees could talk!!

What a fabulous place to visit, so much History and with the family still living there made it feel more comfortable and welcoming. We decided to take a guided house tour, our guide called Roy was absolutely brilliant he had so much knowledge and presented all the information in a fun and entertaining manner. Listening to someone who had so much passion for the place made it so much more interesting, than walking around and looking at things on your own, I'm sure we learnt so much more. Would definitely recommend. The grounds were also very good and there were a lot of things for children to do (although we didn't have children with us) adventure playground, dinosaur walk.

Excellent experience! Really pleased we visited on the day of the motor show. Gardens are beautiful and the space available was tremendous. Great place to visit for family day out.

Not a huge number of rooms to visit (about 12 in total) but definitely an example of quality over quantity! Strongly advise you take the guided tour option (each one lasting about an hour & several tours per day) as there is so much history attached to this lovely building. The tour guide was very knowledgeable & friendly. Never realised that so much to learn about this place & it's famous owners going all the way back to the 1400's. Not to mention all the amazing rock concerts that have been held on the grounds over the last few decades. Also, never knew just how many famous movies/TV shows have been filmed here over the years (Inc. The King's Speech, Downton Abbey, Victoria & Abdul to name just a few). The grounds & gardens are beautifully maintained, so try to pick good weather for a lovely day out! Highly recommended & reasonably priced (book in advance online for entry reductions).

Absolutely wonderful day out! I took my 2 year old here for a fun afternoon and the grounds, house and gardens here are absolutely stunning. The volunteers were super caring and helpful along with the parking being super easy and convenient. There’s a dinosaur walk for kids (and adults alike!) which is actually seriously awesome, we both loved it! Would come back time and again!

I took my family to the Medieval Jousting on Father's Day (yesterday). What a great day it was, they all thoroughly enjoyed the show and there was plenty to do if you pay for the whole experience of Knebworth. The house itself is amazing and full of so much history and the garden walk was a wonderful site. They also had an Archery club stationed nearby where for just £2 you could enjoy a quick game, the club were tremendous people who were very friendly. The Jousting was spectacular and very entertaining, they really got involved with the crowd too. I would recommend this to anyone who has not been before as it really was a grand day out and easily the best father's day I've ever had.

Visited with grandchildren. Very impressed at the amount of activities in the Fort area. All looked extremely well maintained and safe. There was something for all ages. The slides were great fun for all. A visit to the maze and then the dinosaur trail completed a fun packed day. Lots of covered areas to picnic and the toilets were very clean. Would love to return to see more of the gardens and visit the house. Just feel a return visit for myself to visit the house and gardens at a cost of £18 is quite expensive as the play park would unfortunately not be on my agenda! Would definitely recommend for a family day out.

I absolutely loved Knebworth, the house is a little tatty on the inside but it feels like a home not a museum. The Watchtower is a brilliant addition and well worth a climb. The gardens are SUPERB

Knebworth house has history everywhere. Enjoy the walk around the house and gardens and read the interesting stories. Knebworth also has a musical history with some of the biggest festivals and concerts being held there The grounds and buildings have been used on many film sets Knebworth also holds many different events on its grounds

My friend and I took our children here for an Easter egg hunt and we all had a lovely day. The grounds are stunning, as you can see from my pictures, and the play areas are brilliant! I would highly recommend paying Knebworth House a visit.👍🏽

Well we didn't go into the house we only went to the grounds and park due to an event the medieval jousting for fathers day. All I can say is wow what a place grounds are amazing can see deer when you go on one of the walks the house looks beautiful. Got a wonderful dinosaur trail there plus a maze and even a herb garden just wow.

We had an absolutely fab time at Knebworth house. We were meeting up with family and this was a half way point. Not being local, we had no idea what to expect. The weather was lousy... Wet but warm! It was a fantastic mix of flowers and gardens with things to do for the kids. Our 3 year old loved the dinosaur walk. Especially the blackboard haha. Just could have done with a bit more chalk. The veg garden was great to show her how fruit/veg grows/where it comes from and we were able to get her to smell different herbs and flowers. There is lots of open space to have picnics etc. There's not much space to eat near the cafe though and there was a shortage of high chairs which was a shame. Toilets were clean enough. The best thing by far for us though (being the proud owners of a 1&3 year old 😂) was the park. Our daughters LOVED it!! We ran out of time unfortunately and the staff were chaining up the swings at closing time but we had the best time !! It's one of the best parks weve been to. Can't say we'll return because we're 1hr30 away and to be fair, found it rather expensive but it was still a great day out.

Great adventure playground for the kids, the gardens were very pretty and the house is OK. As always food was overpriced but had a great day. You can take a picnic but this has to be eaten outside the gardens, but loads of space. Look out for Deer
