Can see why it's going out of business. This model of poor service and not giving a monkeys about your customers isn't going to encourage people to buy products/services from you. Understandably it was an hour before the shop shut when we visited but the total disinterest and lack of selflessness from the staff is a joke. Went in looking for a shampoo and was told by someone on another boutique that the lady for this brand has popped somewhere but will be back soon. Waited 5 minutes, no sign of anyone apart from the 4 security guards who were following us around the shop. No suggestion from the colleague of getting that staff member or seeing if she could help, no she'd rather stand there doing nothing to earn her salary. Had a look ourselves to see if we could find it and then promptly left, followed by 2 security guards. Will be buying the product from another company due to our experience. Worst thing about the place is this is a relatively new store so you would expect the staff to want to help customers. It must just be me being old fashioned and thinking that good service leads to repeat custom. Oh well

Absolutely wonderful store! All staff are so very friendly, informative, professional. Love all the different franchises, so much choice of different styles & taste to suit all. Especially the excuse to have a meal our or just a quick coffee or afternoon tea even! Love my visits there. ..well done Debenhams.

Firstly let me relay my wife's high praise for your store, clean - good products and with happy to help staff made her visit to your store an enjoyable experience. That is till we received a £90 parking fine! Be under no illusions take a stop watch with you, being a retail park there was never a thought that the parking vultures would be preying on genuine shoppers but it seems she enjoyed your store 24 minutes and 45 seconds too much which has cost me £90! It's a shame after all the investment in the retail park, it been let down by a ludicrous time limit on shoppers. We will never use this area again and believe me the way my wife shops there is only one loser here!

I went in there to use a gift card that my mum purchased for me. The cashier asking me how much was on the card and I told him there should be £100. He said it hadn't been activated and disappeared into the back of the store to speak to someone, when he returned he said it wasn't working and I needed to speak to whoever issued the card. My mum spoke to the card issuer and they checked the details, turns out he gave me back a completely different gift card that didn't match what had been sent to us. The staff on store were unable to help when I went in to make a complaint and I never received a response from the store via email either. I cannot prove what happened but it's pretty damn obvious and I'm absolutely furious!!

The store itself is lovely clean and bright. The reason I give it 4 stars is the limited trousers lengths available and short sleeve length on the coats and jackets. I have long legs and arms and tried on a variety of brands which all only have Short or Regular lengths. Looked online and they don't per Long lengths. So I had to leave empty handed. Also the parking is free which is great.

I'm not normally a fan of Debenhams, however the service we received when visiting this branch was second to none so I might just consider myself swayed into being a fan. Great selection of ladies wear and cosmetics. It's also a very pleasant environment and spaced out so you can access everything without knocking into people or displays. We spent a good hour with the young lady on the Urban Decay counter and she was an absolute star, giving demonstrations of the products, making my niece feel very special and relaxed which turned a bog standard shopping day into a lovely experience that we won't forget.

We’ve just been here for a VIP Personal Shopper experience as a treat for my mum. The lady who helped us was friendly, very patient and gave some great tips, my mum tried and bought some clothes she wouldn’t never have looked twice at. The tea at Patisserie Valerie, and makeover at the Benefit stand, were a wonderful cherry on the cake. The only downside was the parking is only 3 hours, we could easily have stayed longer to browse a bit more!

shocking experience at debenhams Stevenage today, wanted necklece from the jewllery kiosk , asked lady from fragrance is she can help me, she said no, there kiosk is closed today as there is no one to serve. Went to pay for other things , the cashier asked if I found everything today , I said no becuse there is nobody at the kiosk, so she said the ladies from the fragnance section will be able to help you. Returned to fragnance and asked different lady (gemma) if she can help me, she did and she was great, polite and happy to answer my questions. Debenhams sort your lazy staff out, if they dont want to serve customers perhaps they are in the wrong place.

I absolutely love this Debenhams. It’s laid out so well, it’s a really nice environment in there and they have a great selection of clothing and home items. The girls on the Kurt Geiger section are so friendly and helpful too. I really enjoy visiting and I don’t even live in Stevenage but purposely visit to go to this Debenhams. Highly recommend!
