It was OK until I got to the tills with reduced plants - I say tills - self service. Lady tried to help me & got the balance wrong by £10 - good job I could add up roughly in my head & the other lady tried to help it was better but she was confused a bit by the reduction prices. Suggest you go back to normal checkout tills as wasted so much time faffing! Not happy.

I've not been back to B&Q since before lockdown in 2020, it is a large B&Q store on two floors, plenty parking area's again on two levels, I was searching for a new shower base, department's are well signed and I found plenty of staff around to answer my queries, I got what I wanted and I will return to buy it a bit near to my assembling time.

Good range of own brand goods. Nice friendly layout with two floors. Downstairs construction and plumbing, carpentry, electrical, etc. with upstairs the kitchens, bathrooms and painting/decorating, and garden furniture. Friendly and helpful staff

I only visit the car park to make loads noise. But when i do go in its a massive two storie store with everything you could ever need, thats if you can find it. Olace could do with a sit down area and tea machine. Its quite a trek

It was surprisingly good. Staff member helped me find what I wanted. Really amazing knowledge. Got what I wanted (unlike one of their competitors).

Tried calling regarding my kitchen order but their phones now have an automated message stating they're not taking any calls!! It's been 5 days of the same issue and I don't want to have to drive 20 minutes to simply ask a question!!!

I love this B&Q because it's MASSIVE and has a great range of products that you don't get in the usual sized stores. The store is spread across 2 floors which should tell you how big it is. The ground floor carpark is covered, so great if it happens to be raining.

Vast selection of times for both trade and DIY, definitely has everything you'd need for any home improvement projects

Was looking to repair a hinge on tumble dryer. I needed a fast curing epoxy adhesive, B&Q only had their own version Diall. Purchased and returned home. 5 days later the correctly mixed resin is still tacky and the fix was a complete waste of money. Please avoid, as it doesn't do what it says on the packet!

One of the few bigger stores that actually holds a reasonable level of stock given up with a lot of the other DIY places as they only have basic brands and what's displayed they don't have. Mind you be carefull as they have a bad habit of shelf prices not matching till prices, displayed discounts or prices more expensive at till unless you challenge them.....

Huge store, on 2 stories with good parking, but some of the things we wanted we couldn't get even when we found where they were supposed to be. Some things seemed to have very limited range of stock. We chose to go to this site as its listed as a superstore. We were a bit surprised by what we found and disappointed.

Went into the garden centre to look for some decorative stones for my garden and I asked a lady called Angie for some help. She very politely told me that they were in the building yard downstairs and offered to take me to them. I also needed a new flymo strimmer spool which she found for me. Excellent customer service. Thanks Angie 👍🫶👍

Really disappointed i ordered some paint and had confirmation that it would be next day delivery and i would receive an email to let me know when it was in. 5 days later and 2 visits to store and still no paint. Please do not promise next day if you cannot keep to that promise

I recently bought paint for my new property & required some much needed advice! Thankfully Nat came to the rescue & was extremely knowledgeable & helpful. She suggested David help me with bathroom tiles. David not only helped me that day but remembered what tiles I required on returning 2 weeks later to purchase more! Excellent service & I was impressed by his memory & helpfulness-Thankyou both!

Easy to park, plenty of spaces, shop well laid out. It's a big enough store with you being able to get most of what you need for your DIY projects.

Fairly clean and responsible stock levels but prices can be high. If you want to get the same product cheaper, may be worth checking Screwfix, they are part of the same group after all.

Great choice of home decor items and they even mix paint whilst you wait plus side they have a great burger van outside the store

Massive B&Q, two storey with loads of products for all you building and decorating needs. Gone there rather late so did not even had a chance to explore the shop fully. Parking was nearly empty, but this might be due to the time. Can't comment much but they had what I wanted in stock and the visit was quick and easy.

Bought some wood for a shed, I feel sorry for the timber saw guy who has to do non-sheet wood with a hand saw. Also the bundles of sticks on the shelves of treated timber weren't separated, so it looked like you were getting a bargain of 6 sticks for what turned out to be the price of one. Update 2022 - with the introduction of self service tills, if you're buying more than a lampshade and some scatter cushions the proceess is a lot more convoluted at the tills. Discounted items in particular need a lot of work to scan through and manually enter / look up. I feel sorry for the staff having to deal with frustrated customers and the customers for making what used to be a simple and personal process with a human at a till now a battle with a dumb machine. :-/

Helpful staff. I managed to get almost everything required for my project. However over 50% of the timber I needed was warped, some very badly, and was completely unusable. Some timber sourced elsewhere.

Large selection of tools for DIY around the house and garden, plants, building materials etc. Staff always been polite and happy to help. Not the cheapest but versatile, handy when you need it. Large parking and toilet facilities.

Very big, takes a while to find things but the staff are generally very friendly. Could use more signs to identify where items are, however great range of tools can be found.

Mostly self service or click & collect now. Online ordering lies about stock levels so will take your money indicating stock & then immediately tell you there is no stock. Also the travelator that gets you between floors (never quick at the best of times) has been broken for a long time. Wrong direction & going downhill for customers.

Mirror has fallen out of cabinet today and smashed. Damaged the new floor. No one responds from head office or local store. So dangerous. Poor quality and poor customer service.

A very large store with a wide range of products across 2 floors. There is plenty of parking (although you may have to drive up to the second floor). Sometimes moving around the store with its 2 sets of tills across the 2 floors and perambulators can be a bit bewildering. A neat feature of this store is a free wood off-cut box at the exit. Finally, in the past I found internet access here very limited.

Placed a click and collect order this morning which was refunded advising there was no stock despite receiving an email confirmation to advise the order was ready for collection. I was already on site and was told by colleagues there was nothing showing on the system for my order. half an hour later all of the stock I ordered online turned up on a trolley. The customer service assistant advised the entire order would need to be refunded and I would need to place it again - can someone explain how that makes sense? The stock apparently takes a day to show back up on their system meaning a further order couldn't be placed. What a complete waste of my time. Click and collect is meant to be convenient and quick - it would have been easier if I hadn't bothered.

Huge store with a nice garden centre. Sadly was out of the fence panels I needed but had a nice range of tools, lighting and a nice long travelator I enjoyed hitching a ride on.

Strange set out for a B&Q with parking up and down and a long winded process to get between floors with a trolley. Large selection of goods. The problems came with check out. Only self service open and a bit cramped trying to scan your items, especially as it is a DIY place and you expect to have large items. A staff member decided we hadn't scanned everything ( without mentioning it of course) so turned the screen around and proceeded to fiddle around for another few minutes and after satisfying herself that we had in fact scanned everything she left us to pay. On checking our receipt we found that one of the plants we had bought was wrong which meant we never got the special offer price so tried to return it. We grabbed a member of staff who begrudgingly went to a till and then the rigmarole of returning refunding etc started. She was very abrupt and condescending telling us that the discounts didn't apply when you have a special offer( which was wrong) and after a lot of faff we returned the whole lot and put it through again. I think the staff there who were mostly in the older age group need to go on a customer awareness course...sometimes the customer is right!!!

Well stocked and very large store. Love the fact they have some more interesting timber in sorry lengths (oak, beech)

Trade point parking signs have now been removed so everyone abuses the spaces meant for large vehicles loading materials. Always lacking stock for various landscaping requirements. Not recommended for buying wood as its badly stored and all twisted or warped. Prices very high and increased since covid.

Hadn't been to a B&Q in ages so this one was tinged with the comforting nostalgia that comes with the particular hardware store smell and 90s pop music, but putting that bias to one side, this was a remarkably easy and successful trip for me. I had a small child in tow and we easily found a parking space with plenty of room either side of the car near to the shop entrance. Not wanting to walk round the entire huge 2 storey warehouse with my little one looking for the things we came in for, I had to ask for help a few times and all the staff were helpful and friendly. I was slightly awestruck by how much stuff they have here, the place is really huge and the whole ground floor is like a builders merchant and the upstairs is a bit more geared towards interior design, furnishing etc.
