I used Florist on the Green on the advice of a colleague, and I understand that the flowers provided were beautiful (although I didn't see them myself...), but I wouldn't recommend this shop for good customer service. I placed an order over the phone, and requested a receipt to be sent; the flowers were delivered on time but I have since called Jackie (at least 5 - 6 times) to ask for the receipt and every time there has been some excuse given but still no receipt has arrived. It seems that, once the money is paid the customer service ends. Very disappointing from a small business which depends on word of mouth for future business.

Very attentive waitresses, excellent food, cosy and private atmosphere. Happy to return back any time.

Definitely the best restaurant food I've ever had in Stevenage. You'll not be disappointed by the quality and flavours of what you eat there. The wines are hand-picked by the owners and always go down well. One thing I do like is that On The Green always seems nice and chilled out, even when busy, and the staff are friendly and helpful (especially when you can't quite decide on what to eat). To cap it off, they have their own micro-brewery on-site and make some very drinkable ales. The Porter Potty is really worth trying.

This is actually a five star even compared to restaurants in London. It’s by far the best place in Stevenage that I’ve eaten in. Decent selection of wine and beers. Good solid menu. Service was great and recommendations were spot on. The place is quite cozy and welcoming.

Had an amazing meal here recently for our wedding anniversary. The quality and presentation of the food was so impressive. It's great to finally have a restaurant like this in Stevenage. Very friendly service and a lovely atmosphere too. Great selection of beer available, the only small gripe was seeing some beers crossed out with pen on the menu... perhaps a more adaptable beer menu (chalk board perhaps) would be a good idea? 😊

We went for a birthday dinner and whilst the food was beautifully presented and tasty, there was not enough to satisfy. Worse was the lack of heating on a cold March night because they refused to put the radiators on. Instead we were offered our coats to keep warm and an electric heater! Trying so hard to be trendy they forget to feed you and keep you warm. We will not be booking again.

A high quality restaurant in a cosy, comfortable setting. Good choices on the menu and interesting wine list. Portion sizes are perfect too. We'll definitely be back in the future!!

Fantastic locally sourced produce, immaculately presented. Try the exceptionally well made Bog Brew from their own micro-brewery! Really friendly service, nothing was too much trouble. I will certainly be returning!

Enjoyed a nice meal and drinkies here. Great for something a bit different. I wasn't expecting big portions but what I did have was plenty, enjoyed the mushroom risotto, 3 courses, felt stuffed!!!
