Great food and good staff and drinks.

Food here is pretty good and excellent range of real ales. I love the way the local history is represented in this boozer! Of course the toilets are miles away up the huge steps!

Interesting pub except there's a stairway to heaven to get to the loo!! Loads of stairs to climb to reach them. Staircase and walkways were all open plan, so sufferers of vertigo would hate the place! Looks like a former shop site rather than a purpose built pub. A bit quirky but OK.

One of the better whetherspoons for food although timings were a little random. 4 of us went at 5.30 on a Saturday. As a test, 2 ordered at the bar and 2 via the app. App drinks arrived immediately. However bar ordered food came 15 minutes before app ordered food despite being ordered at exactly the same time. Timings aside, the food was all well cooked and presented which, for a chain pub is worth a mention!

Not one of there best places. No Atmosphere which is usually nice and warm at weatherspoons. Half of the Breakfast was not good. Sausages, hash browns, bacon was cold! Service! asked if they had salt and pepper when food arrived. replied"do you want ME to get it for you"! That's a first!

Food is great, beer is cheap and there's plenty of offers available to combine food and drink if in a group. Can't fault this place really but if I had to I would say service could be a little quicker but that really isn't being fair on the staff who work really hard and are always polite and friendly. I used the app once and it works, basically you walk in, find a table, open the app, order food and drinks, pay with Card or PayPal and hey presto it's all delivered to your table. We've been several times and it always been Excellent! Definitely going there again.

Food generally really nice for the price, a couple can eat out comfortably at only £13 or so. Very dirty unfortunately, sticky tables & glass all around is filthy and caked in smears. Wasps and flies frequently flying around upstairs which is very off putting so it's a shame!

Excellent service, good food. And even better they have my favourite drink.

Love the place. Friendly staff, nice food at a good price

I have been in the area on business for the last month or so and visited several times. Everything you expect from a typical Wetherspoons pub, a very good selection of guest ales at excellent prices combined with cheap and filling food. Staff always friendly, especially putting up with me trying all the guest ales before making my mind up and excellent service with food etc. Random selection of food photos attached!

So glad that this pub now offers decaf options for all hot drinks and hot chocolate is now included in free refill offer. Shame there was no hot chocolate today though! Got one of the food orders wrong today and staff were very apologetic about the delay this caused.

Its the best place to be for cheap drinks, and to have a family meal , good if you have young children that like there food.

Good place for a few drinks and something to eat at a good price, definitely go again. The place could do with a refurb though which is why I only gave it 3 stars

Great, friendly pub. Lots of guest ales to choose from for £1.99 a pint and great prices for the mainstream beer and lager too. Food is decent for the price, specials with drinks included are especially good value. Bottomless coffee from the self service machine is top quality.

Good place to eat. And cheap. Good food.
