Fantastic museum, with so much local history. Reception couple were lovely and welcoming with their Springer spaniel. (It actually made my day as we had recently lost our Springer four weeks ago at the grand old age of fourteen).. Lovely to see that pupils from the local primary school had made a quilt square each..some had photocopied photos on to material which made it very individual and thoughtful.

What an amazing place. We visited here with Spectral Hunters for a paranormal investigation. We had great evidence and would definitely go here again as well as doing another paranormal investigation with this team

A well-preserved Maltings building. Nice meeting venue, easy parking nearby. Great Dunmow has a pleasant high-street and good atmosphere.

Great hidden treasure ! Wonderfully preserved 16th C building now offering an intimate venue for weddings and many other functions alongside the Gt Dunmow Museum containing local history. Don't miss it !

Lovely old building and interesting small museum. More importantly (for us) they're a wedding venue, which all worked out quite well last year!

Great place to visit. Very informative and, in places, amusing. Lovely, friendly volunteers staffing it. There is no café, but there are plenty on the high street a short walk away.

Small museum, full of history of the area but very interesting, only open two days a week.

👍👍 What a hidden gem in Saffron Walden! Our family so enjoyed exploring these free public gardens. The hedge maze and nearby playground made this the perfect little day trip. Have paid to see less impressive gardens - highly recommend you make time to walk through and appreciate these!
