First of all be VERY careful how long you park here. My wife and I visited many furniture stores here, to purchase a new sofa. We looked at quite a few to ensure that we were absolutely certain we got the right one for us. We also did quite a lot of shopping in M&S, clothes etc and then had lunch also in M&S. We then went to Argos and then to Curry's with the idea of purchasing a new coffee machine. I have now received a Parking Fine because we were there more than 3 hours. So all the money that we spent here, when Shopping Centres need patronage right now, we were rewarded with a Parking Fine. We were not aware there was a time limit and can't say that there are any prominent signs to make you aware of this. So, we will not bother travelling to Stevenage anymore, as we have done on many occasions, we will now travel to Brookfield Farm for M&S and Harlow for all other purchases, where I'm sure our patronage will be more appreciated.

Nice choice of stores. They've got a big Marks and Spencer, some furniture stores, Wren kitchens Argos, Hobbycraft, Smyth's, Currys and Boots to name a few. TK maxx and Homesence will be coming there too. There is a Nandos and Burger King at one end and a Harvester and Costas at the other end.

Debenham has closed and no longer at Eoaaring Meg. M&S has taken over the there now but in general, it's a good shopping center. Not big but you can get store for items like, food, fashion, furniture, toys, arts & craft, relaxation, gym e.t.c

Good choice of shops, but undoubtedly the biggest pull to come to Roaring Meg is M&S. Good choice of other shops as well. Parking is free but time limited. Parking bays are too narrow, and I only have a Fiesta. If you have a larger car, it might end up damaged. Disabled parking bays also provided.

Good range of shops. Parking not great. Could do with a little supermarket too and possible pedestrian bridges linking all retails parks together via foot.

Love the m&s here, it's huge and still very new looking. The nandos is very nice. All shops are alright, just a couple of big empty stores which I hope yet filled.

It has two entrances and three exits if you drive but it is a bit crazy on Saturday morning. Good car park, big shops and nice space to do some shopping.

Well we came to the meg for our grandsons birthday celebration and there was 8 adults and five children, we all ordered our food and and when it arrived the portion's were massive which indicates that you get value for money, the food was very nice and to be honest i wouldn't hesitate to go there again, we we're looked after by Adam who couldn't do enough for us from start to finish, I recommend this place.....Enjoy

Visited the cafe this noon. Some of the food went unavailable. There were not much choices, even worse that cold drinks and egg benedict were running out. The tables were dirty without staff cleaning promptly. People here not considerate enough to move chairs to fit themselves. Over-crowded environments here. Not enjoyable.

DO NOT SHOP HERE This carpark has no clear signage for your parking time so 3.5 hours shoping with daughter and lunch out was an extra £100 FINE M&S not interested after we had spent £60 FINE WAS MORE THAN SHOPING Thanks m & S for NOT warning us We won't be back !!!!!

Plenty of parking and lots of places to shop from but the only downside is the sign isn't telling you if there is any cool off period for the parking. The parking is free for 4 hours but what if you have to leave and come back later in the day. There's no information about that. It just says maximum 4 hours. Other than that, is alright

M and S is a great Store I love going there their staff are wonderful. The cafe is lovely I recommend the afternoon Tea £10. each you will struggle to eat it all. Enjoy.

Loved it! Had everything we needed and more. The staff in all the stores were very good, especially Yvonne in the M&S cafe.

Very bland looking shopping centre, it needs some colour, some seating or something else to cheer the place up. The stores themselves vary from selling furniture to toys, so a good variety. Plenty of parking with quite a few disabled bays.

We went there hoping to see a sofa bed at M&S. It turned out that this flagship M&S store had no furniture so we were disappointed. But we found a wide choice of other furniture stores in the park and got just what we wanted elsewhere.

Lovely shopping center. At least once a week I'm visiting TKMaxx, M&S. Clean, friendly stuff. And the cashback in M&S, Iceland, Argos and TKMaxx is just probably the reason i dont want to shop elsewhere. Lovely place

It's what it is, but it's clean and there's seating which is welcome. A missed opportunity I think would be having outside stalls even if only weekend to give it a bit of character..not many needed but would be nice... could have craft fare, food fare etc...

Good variety of shops with a very large M&S. The retail park was kept clean and tidy with plenty of parking and some seating. Not overly clear markings on the carpark for directions. Note: Reduced parking time when Stevenage fc are playing.

  • 1/5 r r. 9 months ago on Google
The carpark needs properly marking. There are parts of the car park withbno clear road marking which is going to cause an accident if it hasn't already as people could be both coming at each other from opposite sides around a corner. Sort it out.

BE CAREFUL! Whilst the shop and facilities are inviting, unfortunately you can only park for 4 hours. So if you’re planning on shopping at any of the 19 outlets and enjoy some lunch, they will bill you £100 parking fine for the privilege of shopping with them! It is an unreasonable time limit imposed in a retail park that offers shopping and eating facilities.

We went to several shops which were all very good and had lots of stock. My only disappointment was in Marks and Spencer cafe. You have to order on a electronic board and it's not easy. Some of the staff whilst fairly helpful not very friendly. The lady who brought the order was very kind and understanding. Maybe in time it will get easier.

Plenty of places to park with all the restaurants within a minutes walk. Couldn't see any bins around, so make sure to empty your car in Burger King!

Went there to get a gift at boots. Often use the retail park for Smyths toys, M&S, Curry’s, Harvester, Hobby Craft etc. Good parking. Difficult to get back onto the main road, if it’s busy traffic wise, being a busy main road.

Parked there over Christmas to shop and take the kids to the soft play area, ended up getting a heavy fine, as I stayed over 180 minutes. Due to the fact I got a fine for using the shops and Euro car parks lack of compassion I will now use other retail parks, and places that don't fine shoppers for use of the car parking.

This retail park is now quite active. The Marks and Spencers shop is good, although like many of their cafes, theirs is idiosyncratic and not at all fast. The Costa on the retail part is almost opposite Boots and strangely has a wider menu than the Marks cafe yet offers some Marks' food at uncompetitive prices. Marks' coffee is more consistent. The Harvester on the site has a good view of the giant B&Q but is quite a good pub

Nice big stores, visited for Hobby craft as it's my nearest store. Arrive early as possible though due to the terrible car park! and be careful walking from your car to the shops, such awkward angles that most people end up driving over the curbs which can be quite the hazard. Not really enough parking for the size of the shops.

As a retail park, it's struggling with some empty stores but presumably will be looking for a major uptick when M&S opens later this month. One of the car parks is pretty horrible with unreasonably sharp turns given the narrowness of the roadways.

Plenty of parking on a Sunday morning. Plenty of choice with diverse shops. We visited for our closest Smyths Toys.

Very nice and quiet, very modern and far better than the town centre, just wish they had more to do in the area.

Plenty of parking, clean and spacious. Has boots, smyths, argos and soon to be marks and sparks. No public toilets as far as I am aware.

Not sure who its really aiming for customer wise dont think they got the balance right with the mixture of shops i tend to like a retail park with more clothes shopping or one for furniture etc rather than a odd shop here and a odd shop there maybe the new marks and spencer will inprove the experience a bit more

Reasonable mid sized retail park . Will be a lot better when M & S open late March 2022 . This will bring a lot more footfall to Roaring Meg .

This is an excellent retail park with a huge amount of major large anchor stores too many to mention. Marks & Spencer have just opened a major outlet. There is substantial parking and access is easy from the A1M so you don’t experience any traffic delays. There is a Harvester restaurant/bar and a Burger King on site possibly more. Highly recommended

Nice place if you’re after anything from the specific shops that are there. Debenhams was a good anchor store and, although the M&S is a lovely big store, it’s not the same. The food hall there is good though. It has a very good free from section. Parking can be busy at times but you can get a spot somewhere. Food wise there is the M&S cafe, Costa and a harvester.

Good retail park. Only disappointment was I couldn't see any Parent + Child Parking. Shops include Boots, Costa, Home sense + TK Maxx, Smythes Toyshop, Hobby Craft, Argos, M&S, Harvester, Nandos & a few more! Clean and tidy. More shops in Retail centre next door too.

Easy parking that's free. Spacious and clean plazas with some seating. Good selection of places to eat. Peaceful and i've not seen it busy or crowded. Good stores in the Retail Park itself and amazing Cancer Research shop just across the road. A convenient, well organised, well managed and well maintained retail and leisure environment.

Popped into M&S after visiting Smyths Toys before that we were in boots, then we went into Costa for some refreshments. Super retail park with a huge selection of quality outlets and loads of car parking spaces. You can easily spend the day there.

Fine arrived in the post a week after I visited Roaring Meg. There are signs but I didn't see one as I turned in from the busy road with a car very close behind. As all the retail parks I have visited are either free or have 5hrs free parking it came as a shock! Whose idea was it to deprive the retailers of business?! Who actually owns the site?

  • 5/5 Michelle I. 1 year ago on Google
First time here and there is plenty for all. The store are a good size so should have a good selection of stock. We came for the M&S which we where not disappointed with. Lovely branch really big with plenty to keep you shopping.

The shops visited were good and the retail park was clean, tidy and had good parking when visiting. As with most shopping areas these days there were some empty shop units although it did appear that attempts were in place to. Respond to this. A new huge and modern Marks and Spencers has recently opened for example.

Usually stores for a retail park, good selection I would say, M&S and Nandos being the most recent additions. Parking and getting in and out from London road is the main issue, almost getting gridlocked due to bad layout at busy times, lucky there alternative routes to leave.

Went to M & S there today. As always and expected it's brilliant. The staff in the restaurant area are so nice, the food hall to die for, as always. Just a brilliant store. What else to say, I just love M&S😊

Up and coming retail park that has seen a huge resurgence since the addition of M and S. Parking is adequate in a weekday but struggles badly at weekends. I would imagine a lot of the big retailers from the town centre will relocate here so it is going to get difficult.

👍 Dropped my daughter off as she works in one of the shops there and thought I'd pop into B&M to get some tea bags. As usual I ended up spending loads more than intended as I always find so many bargains in there. Great shop!

👍👍 I am always able to get most everything I need or want. I also like the fact that it's only pedestrian. The only thing that let's it down is the sixties/seventies concrete look.
