Reviewing to help them improve: ordered around £30 foods: very low quality, cheap takeaway stuff, never expected this. The whole Jalfrezi had 3 pieces of lamb meat in it first time ever saw this. Customer service next to Zero: the gent on the phone hung up the phone on me when I asked a question about delivery charge!! Do a better job people.

Ordered a collection on recommendation and on arrival, order was slightly wrong and had to wait. No problem, staff were nice and so happy to wait. Got home, less than 5 minutes, and unfortunately below expectation. Paratha is not cooked; the butter chicken is split and very oily (and tastes like korma); chana masala is from a tin and hard, not cooked; meat is dry. Maybe just a bad evening, but not enjoyable unfortunately. Restaurant has agreed to accept food back and refund, which is decent of them.

Having eaten at maybe 50+ Indian restaurants this easily makes the bottom 3. This is not Indian food, so if you want Indian food I suggest you go somewhere else. Rubbish food rubbish atmosphere.

Amazing food and service. Staff are very friendly and attentive. The best Indian food i have ever eaten! I recommend booking ahead if you plan on going in the evenings or weekend.

First visit to here. Hadn't been inside this building since it was the old pub. Very nice interior now , Staff very friendly and meal was delivered to table very promptly. Wow! Myself and my wife had chicken dishes, the meat was perfectly cooked and just melted in the mouth ...the onion bahji starters ..how large ?!? And very nice too !! Now this will be our Go To place for Indian eating.....very impressed

Delicious takeaway! Largest onion bhajee ever...about the size of an Ostrich Egg :-) Good size portions and very tasty. Order collected on-time from a nice and clean restaurant. We will be ordering from them again!

Visited on a Saturday night. The restaurant was fully booked - great atmosphere. The service was excellent and the food was brilliant - best Indian I’ve been to in a while. The classics were fantastic but so were the chef’s specials, as recommended by our waiter (we were recommended the Karahi kebab khyberi 👌). The onion bhaji is ridiculously big but delicious (apparently the chef is the Guinness World Record holder for the biggest onion bhaji - 175kg!). Highly recommended!

Ordered a takeaway last night for me and family. My first time as I am not local but my son and daughter in law have used many times OMG - absolutely delicious - I have had quite a few curries in my time but this was exceptional. As for the onion bhajis they are nearly the size of a football and a meal in themselves Thank you

Well I enjoyed my papadom, it's a shame that was literally all I could eat as they had zero vegan options, despite Indian food being particularly easy to cook dairy free. Never before have I been to a restaurant and not been able to eat a meal, good stuff!

First time trying this place out wish we had visited sooner, The gunpowder curry was hot but flavoursome & the railway chicken mildly sweet with a slight sour cinnamon kick. The sag planner was fresh tasty and not sloppy like most other places You must get the onion bhaji when you visit it looked amazing we wished we had got one

my daughter ordered last night through uber eats for spice rouge but have to say food was very poor not up to restaurant standard...cost £78 then charged an extra £3.50 on delivery for a salad usually which did not eat as chunky and looked awful included with chicken tikka tandoori...the whole meal was a disappointment and never had a bad meal in restaurant so reluctant to visit restaurant again. delivery name oliver ordered at 6ish and was delivered at 7.15 ish pm

Would have liked zero stars but you have to pick at least 1. Will not be visiting this restaurant again after a failed booking. Had made a reservation via their website for a birthday meal some weeks in advance, receiving an email confirmation. When calling to make a change to the table size I found out that there was no reservation and an email confirmation means nothing. I shall not be going to this restaurant again and will ensure I mention this poor service to everyone.

The food was delicious, but the staff just wanted us to leave as soon as possible, even though there were plenty of empty tables. No customer service whatsoever. This would have been a 5-star review if the staff were more welcoming and friendly. This would be the best curry house in Stevenage if they could just get the customer service right

We we're treated particularly rudely by a member of staff because of what seemed to be an error with their online booking system. We booked online on Thursday for 5 people to eat on Saturday evening at 6:30. On Friday night we missed 3 calls from the restaurant late in the evening. We called back multiple times on Saturday morning to see what they were calling about, and finally managed to get through about midday, where they confirmed they still had our booking. Once we got to the restaurant, they couldn't find our booking, and when we queried it, another staff member stormed over with some booking receipts, and accused us of booking the same booking 5 times, by repeatly and pedanticly counting through the receipts one by one. This is despite the fact that we received one confirmation email, and tried to explain this fact. After a back and forth with this, he said they'd have our table ready in 5 minutes. We used our better judgement and went elsewhere for dinner. Not sure why they felt the need to make a big deal over what seemed to be a technical error with their online booking system, and trying to blame us for it in a heated and very rude rant, given they clearly had the space for us anyway. A shame.

Worst experience ever in UK for me, I was with a group which is why I had to accept the BS as is. I have ordered for a lassi, I realised that I didn’t receive it after 45mins, the waiter didn’t even have the courtesy to come and say they don’t have it. When I questioned again he basically ignored me. I literally had to smile and accept it as I was in a group. Also, At some point I was convinced that he hated Indians. Also, The food was dull and tasteless.

I have eaten in many Indian restaurants, but this is my absolute favourite. The food is amazing! The staff are amazing! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough xx

Food is okay but the staff are rude when it comes to medical dietary requirements, my friend was made to feel very embarrassed for being coeliac. On a separate occasion when we asked them to correct a mistake on a takeaway order they were extremely unhelpful and didn't seem to care. Don't waste your money as there are plenty of better alternatives in the Old Town
