Absolutely disgusting that you would close your services to the public in order to shelter asylum seekers. You should be bloody ashamed of yourselves when there's thousands of homeless in our own country. Absolutely disgusting behaviour putting foreigners up in 4* hotels while our own citizens face a cost of living crisis and can't afford to heat their homes!!! Hope you go out of business for betraying the British public.

The photos of this hotel are very misleading. The fixtures and fittings are very dated and the atmosphere is very grey. I booked a 14 night stay here but had to shorten it to 7. Housekeeping changed our sheets after a couple of nights (they were very rude to my partner) The same night, just as we got into bed I felt a very severe itch. It was so bad that we checked sheets and noticed blood on them. I had to take a shower 3 consecutive times and reported it to reception who at 3am gave us a new room and they promised that they would get the manager to contact us. Nobody contacted me so I went to see the manager myself the next afternoon. He was slightly apologetic but wasn't taking my complaint as seriously as I expected him to. He offered me drinks and when I declined he offered dinner. I really don't think this is acceptable. I didn't ask for a refund or anything because this horrible experience is way worse than money. My partner felt like the cleaning staff were racist so they did this to us on purpose.

Unfortunately I have to leave a 1 star review as my reservation was cancelled by the hotel via email, with zero explanation, 3 HOURS before I was due to check in!!! I'd made the booking nearly a month in advance and they wait until I'm literally on my way to the hotel on the train from Suffolk to email me and cancel the booking!!!! Wouldn't book here again if it was free!!

Use to stay a lot, but suddenly I can't book here anymore!!! So I drove here to speak to someone. On arrival I found strange temporary barriers and cones over the entrance to the carpark, with a guy sat in the dark who seemed to be guarding the entrance, all very strange. The hotel has lights on and activity inside despite this. This hotels location was great for me so I often used it. I just don't know what's going on here now. I checked in Nov and Dec 2022 and now in Jan 2023, nothing has changed here. I guess will have to just give up on this place.

Would rather take tax payers money to house fighting age economic male migrants than paying guests. Also i wonder why since about 2 months ago this hotel has received 5 star reviews with no comments all from similar people..... hmmmmm

Disgraceful “hotel” - not that it actually is one anymore. Avoid this place like the plague - Accor do not deserve a penny of your money after what they’re doing. Place was grotty and run down before, god knows what it’ll be like by the time their contract with the Home Office finishes..

Very tired. The rooms need to be refurbished. Lighting in the room was so dark. Only one lamp stuck to the wall. For the price I was expecting the rooms to look like the pictures. They put us on the ground floor by the housekeeping storage. Woke up at around 8am by housekeeping shouting to each other down the corridor and the noise continued. No water in the rooms, the evening receptionist joked we should drink from the taps in the room. (Bathroom taps). Breakfast was pleasant and breakfast staff were friendly. Free car parking

hotel is now no longer open to the public, as it is being used to house asylum seekers, who knows how long for. lots of rubbish outside and no one in reception would answer the phones so i had to search up the hotel online to find out it is basically no longer a hotel and houses migrants. really don’t know why the home office is using hotels to house people anyway as it devalues the hotel and stops it’s income.

Not the usual novotel experience, some of the staff try hard especially the events team who couldn't do enough. Bedroom had wrinkles in carpet and generally felt old and well used. Dinner was a poor experience (£25 steak was as tough as old boots and dinner service was also poor) think this Novotel hotel has lost its way and needs to be rescued. Sorry for bad feedbad, important to be honest. Thanks.

Roomy air conditioned room an absolute God send during a recent heatwave. Good value for money and ideally situated. Only downside was that breakfast was unavailable one morning due to staffing issues and was retrospectively fined for having my hire car in carpark, which was cleared up with one phone call.

Very friendly and helpful staff during check-in, breakfast and check-out! The bed was so comfortable we started wondering if it fits into my purse, very quiet during the night and breakfast was delicious with a great variety. Would highly recommend!

Nice place and quiet. Rooms tired and carpets should be replaced ours had burns all over it . Staff attitentive and especially Michelle on the bar who was warm and charming and nothing was too much trouble. Made our stay a great one

So the hotel is nice.. new fitted bathroom and nice TV in the middle of the bed.. but they forgot to change the bed frame. Was a bit old looking.. mattress very soft. Just a new bed and it would be good

Excellent, really friendly service The rooms were impeccable and the atmosphere was lovely throughout The comfiest Hotel beds I have ever slept in The only thing that was a draw for me on location is that there is no way to walk out of the site, as you have to cross a busy roundabout that has no pedestrian walkways. I'm aware this isn't something they can control but it would have been nice to know in advance as it makes public transport inaccessible

We got there early before check in. Asked for lunch and coffee was told coffee machine not working. Then was informed that my accord privilage account card was not working so could not get my discount on room. When we checked in to our bedroom we had been put right next door to laundry room and a air con unit which was so noisy I went to reception and asked to be moved. The lady said she would pop down in a minute, which turned into nearly 45 minutes later no one came down. So my husband went to reception and requested to see the manager who gave us a new room straight away. We had dinner there which was OK. In the morning we walked down stairs to breakfast to find on the stairs somebody's Chinese food left on stair. The carpets need a good clean as well. We went into breakfast and I could not find any milk for my cereal and was informed they had none so had to use 10 little plastic milk cartons you get in your room to make your tea.in all honesty I don't think I will ever stay in a novotel hotel again. Apon check out if it had not been for the you man on reception I would have ended up with a bill for someone else's drinks

Although rooms large, bigger TV screens than in normal hotels, and the bathrooms well fitted out...the restaurant hours very restricted for contract workers who like an early start...and evening menu..very limited...

Stayed for a family party. The room was large and well equipped, we had a large comfortable bed and the shower was amazing. Breakfast had lots of choice, only issue was the staff not clearing tables for breakfast I did it myself so we could all sit together , didn't detract from a great weekend though

went here with my mum, brother and sister. the hotel staff were so kind and i overheard one staff lady calling my little sister very cute! the beds were great, EXTREMELY COMFY! the toilet was alright, i didn’t enjoy moving rooms to wash my hands though. i liked the garden, it was very spacious and pretty. great view, very nice location. the food was nice, i found the scrambled eggs quite watery which wasn’t very pleasant. the shower room is amazing, very modern and clean. i enjoyed my stay, definitely recommend!

Do not stay here. Service is absolutely awful. I had a booking and a representative of theirs called Aleena was incredibly rude. She kept interrupting me and belittling me. When I told her there’s no need to be rude she proceeded to state ‘I didn’t do anything’. Upon arrival at the hotel I told the manager and absolutely nothing was done. During my stay, the staff were incredibly mundane, dismissive and rude. Would not recommend.
