Nice place. Not as big as some zoos, but they do good conservation work. There's a cafe and children's play area with enough to keep them entertained while you sit. We bought the aardvark experience which was great. Dean the curator was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure we were comfortable while he had us feed and pet the aardvarks. The fee goes towards their conservation efforts which is a bonus.

While not the biggest wildlife/ zoo I've visited. Managed to get round the whole park in around hour & half, it certainly makes up for character. The park is very scenic, lots of little streams & ponds scattered around the place. Makes for a really peaceful & nice environment, the animals seem very well looked after.

Actually awesome. It's a very compact zoo, but that means you get to see a lot of animals very quickly. Highlights include the magnificent tigers, adorable red pandas and many more. Don't miss the rainforest building, and the great children's playground. Access can be tricky and parking fills up, train station is right next door if that's an option. Disabled or careers access is £10 x 2, children price is almost on par with adults. Additionally toilet facilities are limited and there can be queues. Still, it's a great trip out.

Visited Shepreth Wildlife Park with my partner today and I'm pleased to say I highly recommend it! There's a large number of animals to see and it's the park is broken up into different areas in which animals reside habitually (Africa, Asia, etc.) It was great to see that all of the animals appeared happy and healthy enjoying a sunny day at the park. We didn't see some of the animals in their enclosures but were unsure of whether they may have been elsewhere in the park (Clouded Leopards & Aardvark). There's plenty for young children to do both indoors (soft play) and outdoors (play park), add the animals into the mix and you can easily make a day out of it. There is also a café where they serve both hot and cold food (the price is a little steep so it's worth bringing a packed lunch). The souvenir shop has a ton of good gifts to remember your trip by too so be sure to see what Shepreth Wildlife Park has to offer!

Kiddos had a great time here. Its a lot smaller and quieter than most wildlife parks and with fewer animals but enough to have a nice time with the family and for kids to go a little wild and learn something new. They have a nice little cafe with an indoors softplay area that the kids absolutely loved!. The park also has a shop to buy little souveniers. I highly recommend this place. We went on a Sunday and it wasn't crowded at all.

Absolutely love coming here, capybara's are my favourites by far, followed closely by the red pandas. So many animals to see, with cafe and gift shop. A great reasonably priced day out. We come back every year. Love it!

More to see here than I thought. Lots of interest for children. Ours had a great time making pumpkin lanterns. Friendly helpful staff. Plenty of parking. Cafe popular and picnic tables available if you need them. Recommended.

Simply amazing! Not massive but this also means easy to go round and seeing animals. We particularly like the red pandas, lemurs, and tigers. Animals are chill which is great to see. Also has lots activity for my daughter - both in door and out doors she loves it and so do we! Many seating areas dotted round the zoo.

We love Shepreth, lots of animals to see, the bat house is great the way the bats fly past you so close you can feel the draft created by their wings. I had a capibara experience brought for me as a gift which was brilliant 😁 the kids really enjoyed the day out. 😁👍 Would definitely recommend a visit.

Fantastic wildlife park. We much prefer this to larger zoos e.g, the London zoo. A lot of activities and areas for kids, affordable and nice cafe, you can tell the animals are really cared for. Every 30 minutes you can listen to a free “keepers talk” about a different type of animal, which is really insightful. We spent 3 hours there just exploring the animals and habitats. Lovely day.

This is the most lovely wildlife park! I bought the Capybara experience for my sister for Christmas and we only just found time to go. The day was a little overcast and at times, drizzly, but that didn’t dampen the experience. The park seems small (I’m more used to London Zoo), but there’s so much to see and do. We went during the week on a Wednesday and it was quiet. It was a rare day when I didn’t have my children with me, and I thoroughly enjoyed spending time reading the descriptions of the animals and chatting to the keepers. There’s talks throughout the day which I highly recommend going to. I really enjoyed the one for the tigers and lemurs. It makes it much more of an interesting experience especially as the keepers give you lots of little personal details about the animals. I learnt so much more about how breeding programmes run, and safety protocol, and how otters are cute but actually can’t be trusted with fingers 😂 - I’d never have gotten all that information from bigger, more impersonal zoos. My favourite animals were the otters who are just super cute, the aardvarks who are super weird looking in real life and the mother and daughter tigers who were absolutely stunning. What really stands out though is how well the animals are cared for. There’s a playground and indoor soft play for children which I’m sure my 7,5 and 1 year old would love. My sister did the capybara experience and had a brilliant time. She fed them bamboo and even got to stroke them. Such a wonderful day out, thank you!

A quaint and peaceful wildlife park. We had booked the Capybara experience as a Christmas present and the keeper was wonderful she was educational and took plenty of photos of us feeding and stroking the capybaras. The park itself isn’t very big but a lovely way to spend the morning. Would recommend

Had a fantastic time visiting, staff were really helpful and there was option to join specific talks on animals or as we did, we went on a hunt through the different countries to tick off the animals on our mini adventure. Family orientated, quickly located from the train station, parking, plenty for children to do and adults, indoor and outdoor children play areas, small restaurant and picnic area. All round, a lovely day and if you’re brave enough an opportunity to do a mini bat walk. Ended what had been already a brilliant family weekend away.

I'm very glad I found this wildlife park! Was a beautiful smaller zoo compared to, say Whipsnade, etc. but animals seem very happy and well looked after! It's lovely to see a lot of people sponsor the animals as well! Takes a couple of hours to walk a couple laps, maybe more if you have young children. Price is excellent, worth every single penny! Will definitely be visiting again 🤙🏻Can't comment on the talks as missed, but the lovely selection of animals and conservation work the team do is amazing!

Little one (2 years old) was very interested in the park and the sandbox.... word of advice ... take lots of pound coins for the toy cars. Diggers and merry go round. Little one was only interested in red panda.. so as a zoo it was okay As a play ares great

Was great day out and the park has lots of beautiful animals to see. We were lucky we got to see them all. I went there when I was pregnant and now I can’t wait to take my baby girl there when she’s a little bit older. I’m sure she’ll love it too.

Nice little wildlife park. We spent 3 hours here. There are several animal talks. You need to bring a mask for the nocturnal enclosures. There is a cafe with the soft play. Where you can be sandwiches, hotdogs and pizza. It can get quite noisy from the children playing which was fine for us, but might not suit everyone. The education centre had some nice activities my children enjoyed, the keeper chatted explaining the answers

I took my kids here during half term (February) and it wasn't to busy, was quite a nice day out for the kids, there were an a mix of animals, red pandas, Llamas, monkeys, tigers although the looked sad if I'm honest they was just pacing up and down, there insects and more, the bat walk is ok you can walk through while they fly freely about. My absolute favourite was the prairie dogs, they were hilarious bobbing up and dog and "talking" to each other. We ate in the restaurant as I didn't take food (I'd take a picnic) the food was reasonable price for these types of places £4 for a hot dog £2 for a coffee but we waited such along time (20-25 mins for the food, 4 hotdogs) There is a indoor play area which was busy and no where to sit so we didn't stay there, seating outside also outside play areas one is closed at the moment. There is an educationan center bit there was a nice lady called liz, who showed my children the i sand box, which was fascinating and fun and chatted away to myself and the children. They also coloured in some pictures. Overall it was a good day out, it wasn't as big as I had thought but we made a day of it.

Me and my partner did the red panda experience at Shepreth Wildlife Park and had the best time. I did not expect it to be so closely involved with the red pandas. We got to do basic training commands with both of the pandas and feed them lots of grapes! Sam their keeper was great at explaining all the details of red pandas to us and took plenty of photos of us throughout the experience, so that we could get the most of it. Once we were finished, I wanted to book again straight away! This place is great overall and a very thought out wildlife park.

Filled in a couple of hours admiring the interesting selection of all creatures great and small. Nice and quiet in the afternoon. The Scottish Wild Cat kittens were lovely and I also loved the close encounter with the Egyptian Fruit Bats. The site appears to have plenty of activities and interest for children.

Please please please support this amazing family run wildlife park. Their ethos on conservation is outstanding. The love and knowledge they have for their creatures is amazing and you will have the best day out. Every keeper who walks around, if you have a question and stop them to ask, will take the time to answer that question and will always ask if they can help with anything before they leave you to enjoy the rest of their animals. The VIP animal experiences are very worthwhile too, if you are debating doing one I highly recommend you do it. We did the aardvarks and I urge you to participate in hands on experience. Our keeper Liz was amazing and knew everything we wanted to know and so much more. Terry and his daughter are the kindest, sweetest people you could meet and are never too busy to help you or answer questions. I definitely recommend going here for an amazing day out with all the family. Thank you for our day out. X

We had such a lovely time here. There's something special about this place, as it's a rare attraction that isn't massively commercialised and trying to empty your wallet at every turn. Firstly, tickets are a lot less expensive than other zoos and wildlife parks, and are well worth the money. £13.50 for an adult. I'm sure people would be willing to pay more. The park is small and unassuming, but very well maintained. There is a large outdoor play area and a wheelchair accessible play area for disabled kids. There is also an indoor soft play area. The park is wheelchair accessible throughout and I didn't run into any accessibility issues at all. Obviously there were some high up viewing decks only accessible by stairs but this is expected. The toilets aren't exactly glamorous but they were clean and fit for purpose. There's a small cafe with a small selection of sandwiches, paninis, and vegan Hotdogs which was a pleasant surprise! Food was inexpensive, a large vegan Hotdog was £4.50. There were also several vegan ice creams in the ice cream freezer and a cold water fountain for refilling bottles. Now the important part, the animals! There is a reptile house, a nocturnal animal area including a free flying bats walk-through, a few big cats, birds of prey, rainforest animals, primates, and more. My personal favourites are armadillos, which we were so fortunate to see extremely up close as a friendly keeper was more than happy to show us and tell us all about them. The keepers were so friendly and passionate about what they do. There is some great conservation going on with their breeding programmes, and plans for animals to be introduced into the wild to repopulate. I had an 'Aardvark Experience' voucher gifted to me and this was so great! 30 minutes of one on one with a really enthusiastic and knowledgeable keeper, I believe their name was TK, bottle feeding and hand feeding the aardvarks and learning more about them. I can't recommend this enough, a really great experience but also a great way to contribute money to the zoo so that they can keep doing what they do!

Plenty of animals and you feel you can get very close to them. Some enclosures could be a bit bigger but this is a limitation of the site and they all look well and active. Good focus on conservation. Very frequent keeper talks throughout the day.

Came here on the Saturday before the kids went back to school. It was really nice to get up close to some of the animals especially the Red Pandas. Nice selection of animals overall even though the park isn’t that big. There was plenty to keep the kids happy with indoor and outdoor play areas. Overall I great place to bring the family and will definitely visit again.

We visited here as a family and I enjoyed an Otter Experience as a birthday gift. The park is really nice. It is much more open than most zoos we have visited and they seem to have managed to make it feel as though you are closer to the animals. A good variety of animals. The Otters were amazing and Liz was an excellent host for the experience. She was very knowledgeable and extremely passionate about nature, the environment and conservation in general.

This is a small zoo, but really lovely with lots to see. The landscaping is very nice and everything is tidy and well kept. We saw many different animals and there was plenty of interest for my young son. We didn't have too much time to spend in the play areas, but those looked like good fun as well. Overall, I was really happy with our experience and we will definitely be back!

A fantastic wildlife park with an array of animals to visit. Me and my partner did the Aardvark experience and it was incredible to get up close to these beautiful animals. Liz was extremely knowledgeable not only about the Aardvarks but about all the animals in the park - she made this a truly special experience for us and one we will treasure for the rest of our lives. Her passion for the natural world is infectious and she truly is a credit to the park. It was fantastic to also learn about Shepreth's conservation charity and the work they do in conservation projects, this is a place that values and respects animals and is a great place for adults and children alike to learn about what we can do to preserve the beautiful creatures we share our planet with.

Very compact, clean place . Easy access to all animals, you can watch them all don’t need to wait hours to see it or search. Great idea for day out

Great to visit and support. Lots to see and do, at time of writing many improvements underway. I'll look forward to going back in the future to see how it has changed. Opportunity to feed selected animals is a an experience well recommend. Lots of history and information around the park with animal adoption schemes and information too. The nocturnal experience is great for all ages and a chance to get up quite close to the bats. The canteen is quite slow and long queues as a result, I'd recommend bringing snacks, there are plenty of places to sit and test.

Shepreth is a amazing smallish wildlife park with such a variety of animals that you can get really close to without disturbing them and they are so lively and happy! You can really tell they care for there animals and look after them. The staff are really nice and happy to talk about the animals you know they love working with. It's great to know about another zoo so close to home and I will look forward to visiting again some other time. I would definitely recommend any to give this place a visit!

Had a lovely afternoon at Shepreth wildlife park. No real grumbles but we really wanted to see the fruit bats but the house was still closed. We will be returning in the future to see the fruit bats once it’s open.

Took my family for a treat. Lovely day out. The zoo is small, but perfectly formed. Animals looked happy and well cared for. Staff friendly. They have a hedgehog hospital there, so anyone from the area who finds an injured hedgehog can take it there to be cared for. Will visit again.

The park is great. A lovely way to see so many wonderful animals and learn lots about them. The team was amazing - especially Liz who led our capybara experience! The talk in the nocturnal house with bats flying around us was another highlight (recommended by Liz!).

What a visit! Shepreth is a special place for us but it never fails to deliver a magical visit. This time we had an amazing experience getting to go in with the aardvarks and Liz, who was looking after them. We learnt loads about them and conservation and Liz's passion for them is wonderful. It's such a privilege to spend time with these beautiful animals and as usual the nocturnal walk through was a dream. We didn’t manage to make the keeper talks this visit but did all of the last time and can highly recommend catching them if you can.

We took our 2 year old out and had a lovely time! There are so many different animals there! Otters, Wolves, Tigers and even Bats and Rabbits! There is a lovely gift shop and a Cafe as well. The price isn't expensive either at £10 an adult. I highly recommend this place and it is situated in a lovely area!

Small but very clean and beautiful wildlife park, with more than enough animal to see and interact with. The enclosures are very open for kids to see the animals upclose, and designed quite conveniently for buggies. 13.5 pounds for adult ticket and 11.5 for children, and options for all year tickets. There are plenty of sitting spots, and a playground.

I went there for the red panda experience. The park is not big but it's lovely and the staff was lovely too and keeper talks were interesting, I like the fact that they raise money for animals in the wild such as tigers, red pandas and more! Some animals could benefit from slightly bigger enclosures for sure, but overall I had great time there!

Such a lovely place to visit. Not too big, not too busy (despite 3 coaches of school children) We were able to see all the animals really well. The animal talks are all so good with not too many crowding round. Fantastic place.

Great zoo for the price, real close experience to the animals, volunteers walking around and talking to people/children about all the animals etc. Very informative, interesting. Great job Shepreth wildlife park! Will be coming back after covid has gone to see the closed off sections. However discounted entrance because of this, little things like this make little places like this so amazing 👏

Went to the park with my girlfriend to do the wonderful Aardvark Experience. in October. Managed to see almost all the animals, they were really sweet and very well looked after. The park was lovely overall, we'll definitely be coming again, keep up the great work!

Came across this wildlife park while looking through Tesco clubcard partners. They except full payment in clubcard vouchers. Took my 2 teenagers 18 and 16 for a visit today. This is a lovely place. Fabulous mix of animals. Has an enclosed walk through with bats flying freely around. Which was a new experience for us all. The talks are very informative. Plenty for little people to do aswell. Shame I didn't know about it when my kids were young. Highly recommend you visit. Not crowded, found it stress free. Food was lovely and reasonable priced. Had a very nice day out.

Visited here on the way to Great Yarmouth and was a great stop for the kids to enjoy before we carried on. The kids enjoyed seeing the animals especially the otters, red panda and the big cats. Walking around is easy and once we needed a break the cafe has a really good softplay great for younger and older kids. Food was decent and gave the adults a break while the kids could carry on going crazy. Great for a day out.

Had a great day at this little Zoo, everyone was willing to help or offer information on the animals. We got my son an adoption pack for a Capybara and we went to see these, his name was on a plaque, so he was over the moon. I recently had foot surgery and was in a wheelchair, getting around was easy. Plenty to see and there is a coffee shop with a playarea in for the small children. The whole area was clean and pleasant to walk around. Will surely visit again ☺️

Me and the gf went for the Otter Experience Monday 21st February 2022 Alice I believe her name is, was absolutely fantastic very bubbly and chatty she took loads of photos for us and it did not feel like she is just doing her job But was genuinely involved and got us involved like she was beaming with happiness throughout which really made the experience for us, we had an absolutely wonderful Otter Experience because of her and we had a wonderful chat as well. All in all a wonderful day.

I visited here with my elderly disabled mother. It is quite a small zoo, which means that it is quite compact for someone with mobility problems. The pathways are generally quite level and sound although some bits are gravel. There are disabled toilets which are never too far away. There is no free entry for carers which is very disappointing, just a meager discount on the standard entry price. The animals seem well cared for in nice habitats.
