Brilliant experience, even the queue is quality. Didn't disappoint once you get on the ride itself either. There's lots of surprises and the highlight isn't the more than vertical drop that towers above the park, good though that is. No criticisms whatsoever. Really enjoyed it and definitely a park highlight for almost all ages. Go try it out!

Looks great but the ride is so rough you can't enjoy it. 4 of us sat together on the front row of a car and all of us came off with headaches. The ride just bangs your head against the restraint so much you just want it to be over and don't enjoy the speed. We managed to do all the big rides twice today but no-one wanted to do saw a second time.

It was a solid ride and quite long which I enjoyed. Them playing the theme as you start was a great choice. There was a lot of variety from being inside to outside, complemented by a lot of loops to prolong the excitement. Worth noting that you might experience head/neck pain as you'll probably bang your head a bit given the speed.

The layout for this ride is amazing, it can be rough sometimes and does make me think if I should put my head forward or backwards. The theming for this ride is great and being a fan of the saw franchise I really love this saw experience and feel like I'm part of a movie. There is a point in the queue line where a gun sound effect is played and absolute scared the **** out of me and friend and the stairs to the platform is incredible with references and moments from the saw franchise waiting for the ride is very tense and suspenseful as the timer is displayed above the cars which really gives the feel of being in a saw trap. Leaving the station in the pitch dark is one of the best feelings and really got my heart beating. The first drop in the dark may be my favourite element of any ride at Thorpe Park and it really put force on my body and I really thought the saw was going to cut off all of our heads. The vertical lift hill is petrifying and just when for a split second you think you can get a lovely view of the park you are dropped into the lovely loop and the rest of the ride is very impactful and gives a great view of Hyperia and when built will be the best view of the park. The music of this ride is absolutely incredible and really gives the tense atmosphere that the films and manage to capture and really achieves the scary and eerie atmosphere. Absolutely incredible and easily in the top 3 rides at Thorpe park👏🙌

Full of unexpected drops and turns, extremely entertaining. The actual site was very well designed, with various set pieces from the SAW movie recreated in the surroundings, and the atmosphere was spot on. It was worth the queue, and I even went on it twice. It is also the only ride where they safely store all your items in boxes before the ride. Very good overall.

Queued for nearly 2hours to go on this. The whole area is tired and run down. The ride itself used to be smooth and exhilarating but is now juddery- it jerked your head about so much that 3 members of our group had headaches and neck and back pain for the rest of our visit. Would NOT go on this again if you paid me

The queue on a busy day is more scary than the very short ride, but of course it’s worth coming on this ride on a quiet day as the ride is a little scary the first time you come on it and aren’t aware of all the jump scares

Indoor section is about the best you can find on any Gerstlauer coaster. Overall really great ride, didn’t experience much head banging or jolts just a tiny bit at the end. But the restraints feel like pillows so you don’t notice it at all. 10/10

This is a case of the actual ride being great, but the line experience being terrible. We went the weekend after the Queen passed, so there may have been some staffing issues due to that, but specifically for this ride we were in line for over half our time at the park. The ride sent out cars at a very slow rate, and there were numerous issues with unruly riders that resulted in holding up the line for even longer. At one point someone tried to bribe a ride operator to get on and that resulted in the entire line being stalled for an additional 20-30 min as the attendant tried to figure out what to do. Overall, the ride staff need better training and support to make sure that things like that don't happen and hold up the line for longer than necessary.

I am a roller coaster enthusiast and when I see a well themed roller coaster like saw I am over the moon, the last ride I went on was smooth as butter. Just be ready for the steep drop as you go out the station and brace yourself. Staff were helpful and nice. Sadly with gas track we still had to queue for about 15-20 mins but other than that it was amazing

I'm kind of proud of the fact that I've been on this ride. Even my Dad's partner, who is a huge fan of the Saw films, has admitted that she probably wouldn't go on it, after I mentioned that it has a 100° beyond-vertical freefall drop. (Fun fact: I actually first heard about the Saw films after Saw: The Ride opened at Thorpe Park!) I get the impression that going on really big rides like this one is something that gets you respect. This is a very well-themed ride that has everything a roller coaster themed around a horror franchise should have. It's a very intense ride, and that's the best thing about it – it is a horror-themed roller coaster after all. I find that the harness puts some pressure on your private area if you're a man, but I suppose that fits the theme of the ride. I would definitely recommend this ride. You could even invent your own reason as to why you'd be placed in a Jigsaw trap (the theme of the ride is, of course, that the riders are Jigsaw's test subjects).

This is a great ride, but it seems to throw you around a lot more than I remember, and it is very uncomfortable, I don't expect rides to be particularly comfortable but this one seems a lot less so than others. This is a greatvride for thrill seekers and is definitely worth the wait. Although there is a good amount of shade on parts of the queue, but there is a lot of the queue line that isn't well shaded and on hot days can be unbearable.

Saw the ride is a new favourite. Went on with my younger brother, who just made it on because of the height restrictions. The indoor section is brilliant, the drops and inversions were amazing and the theming was ace! If you're seated on the outside seats, it can be a bit July, but if seated in the middle, its amazing. Wanted to re ride it. For anyone who is scared for it, don't be. You will love it! Amazing!!!

Worth the wait but people got stuck during the ride and ride closed but we stayed in the line because they said that we can wait then it got fixed in like 15 mins but you know it's worth it🙃 (but you know adds to the thrill😁)

very very very well themed - and the best bit is that it needs no maintenance as the more decayed it looks, the better for the theme. Merlin onto a winner there 😝. Ride is SO good - really jolty (you dont expect smooth), really up/downy with some nice twists and inversions. Went several times in a day! love that the theming is consistent even after the ride. Wueues get very very long, i recommend fast passing this one!

One of the best rides at Thorpe park but extremely loud at parts

Great ride, sadly closed on my last visit. Been rough in 2023, showing it’s age now. Still a great ride with amazing theming towards the saw films!

Decent ride but can be hard on your neck/head. I wasn’t expecting the indoor bit which was a pleasant surprise. The vertical drop is good and the climb is pretty scary. We queued for 10 mins with fast track tickets

I recently visited Thorpe Park and had the opportunity to experience one of their best rides, Saw. As soon as I stepped onto the ride, I was immediately taken aback by the intensity of the experience. It starts off slowly, but the speed quickly picks up and I found myself screaming as I was flung around the track. The track itself is full of loops and sharp turns that are sure to thrill even the most seasoned roller coaster enthusiasts. The experience is further enhanced by the theming of the ride, which is based on the horror movie of the same name. In addition to the thrilling ride itself, there are plenty of other attractions to keep you entertained, from the interactive games to the food and drinks available. All in all, I had an amazing time at Thorpe Park and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an adrenaline-filled day out.

I've been reading the reviews. They all say they hurt the neck Been recently and went on. Only to come off with what I can only explain. Whiplash. Went to customer service to be sent to 1st aid For the young lady to ask me did I brace myself. I know there is an issue with one of the cars As it was belted off at one stage so it could not be used. I don't believe they took it off the track. We love the ride but it does need work on the cars I believe. Please don't blame the customers . Your expensive

Very fun and well built. The inversions and turns can hurt your back a bit but anyway it’s fantastic and fun. The queue line has lots of props making it different from others. It has depth and lots of detail. Go there!

Our favourite ride at thorpe park.....we went beginning of October, we waited no more than 10/15 minutes for each ride, kids all loved it aged 16,14 & 11

  • 5/5 Ashley B. 1 year ago on Google
Easily the best ride here. Wait times can be bad but we had Fast Track so pretty much walked on. Once in the day and again at night, which is so much better. For the split second you're at the top you can see for miles and miles untill you're thrown down 😂

Best ride in the park unfortunately the park wasn't that good. We had a whole day in the park but left 2 hours before closing as we did all the rides twice. 2 good rides and the rest were pants.

Saw the ride is an extremely good overall package. Can sometimes get long queues that weaken the experience, however this should be expected when it is one of the 5 biggest rides at the park. Theming is very good and music builds suspense. Ride can sometimes be rough and has been in the past however recently has been riding a lot smoother

  • 4/5 Andrew M. 1 year ago on Google
Unfortunately the queue for this ride can be very slow unless you've purchased a fast track ticket as they favour the fast track queue (obviously this is to be expected) however this seems to impact the main queue more than other rides. The ride itself is brilliantly themed and faster than it looks, however everyone ive been with including myself have come off the ride with a headache from the sheer speed and the way the ride thrashes you around. Try and get on the second car out of the two if possible as the ride lasts a little longer and you get a small introduction from jigsaw whilst you're waiting for the first car to hit its checkpoint.

  • 5/5 Hazel D. 1 year ago on Google
Was a good ride, queuing times are absolutely ridiculous though. Lots of rides there's but can't get on most due to how long you spend queuing.

  • 5/5 Loz D. 1 year ago on Google
Loved this ride, went on it around 8 times when visiting. The first time was obviously the best as the inside drop wasn't expected. Its a great design and definitely less rickety than the smiler at Alton Towers.

  • 5/5 Nona 2 years ago on Google
The queue line was way too long. Would definitely suggest reading up and planning your trip according to what people suggest as that might really come handy, but other than that, I had an absolute blast on this ride!!! Would also suggest sitting on the first seat for an even crazier experience!!!

  • 5/5 JiggyraffesAndSnozzcumbers 2 years ago on Google
Absolutely brilliant ride. The queue times were far shorter than stated on the ride entrance and app and the whole experience and atmosphere is brilliant. The ride itself is very well managed and smoothly run. I thoroughly recommend it to all thrill-seekers - the 100 degree drop is incredible!

Saw was great apart from it's a really rough ride and can leave you with neck and back ache as your head gets thrown from side to side. The drop in the dark is unexpected

  • 1/5 Soen T. 2 years ago on Google
Regularly breaks down and there's no announcements; was stuck in the queue 2.5 hours on Fright Nights. The ride itself is not bad, it's very intense and a bit of a headbanger.

  • 5/5 Joe S. 2 years ago on Google
This ride is smooth and thrilling. Although you get inverted in loops and drops, it doesn't chuck you around like some of the others. The theming is brilliant, even in the queue on the way in and I'd love to be there on a Fright Night event when there's more scary things about. I would possibly suggest they could go a bit further with the entertainment effects and make them more related to the movie series but it doesn't NEED it, just a thought. Queue times obviously depend on what day you go but we waited a maximum of 10 minutes all day, for any ride. Definitely worth a visit.

Saw The Ride is one of Thorpe Parks most popular roller coasters and is the worlds first horror film themed roller coaster. It is manufactured by gerstlauer, it includes a beyond vertical drop of 100° and 3 overall inversions, one of which is hidden within the indoor section of the ride. It is extremely well themed and really builds up the excitement and tension for the ride. It starts very strong with its indoor section, a near vertical drop in the darkness and a barrel role as you leave the building, you then start a vertical climb of 30 metres and get dropped beyond vertically and you make your way through the eat of the layout, this part is rather rough and you do get thrown about quite a bit in your cart however the ride is still enjoyable with some exciting elements, overall a very enjoyable ride, just brace yourself for getting thrown about a bit in its layout.

Interesting mix of indoor and outdoor Terror. High drop, inversion and positive and negative G experiences. Terrifying.

Saw the ride. If I'm honest, I'm not sure why this ride is dedicated to a film franchise which has left me feeling sick and close to pass-out in a cinema. This theme for an amusement park is in bad taste. My 10 year old went on it and it left me answering some questions in line. I mean it could've been themed a little less "bight your face off" and more light hearted-ish. And I know you'll be thinking, why take your son on it? Well it's an amazing ride. The theme is off, but so well achieved. They've taken their time to get the queue decor right, for over 15's. It gets you in the right frame of mind for the actual ride. The ride is around a minute long and has some really nice drops and twists. My son hit his head a few times, side to side and my shoulders were rattled heavily. But it was worth it. Its safe to drop your bag off, they offer a drop off and collection facility, giving you a rubber band in return. I'm a big fan of this unique and I might add, original design of coaster. The company behind its design did a great job and this is one of my favourite rides at Thorpe Park. My son was fine riding it, he's a tough cookie, but other 10 year olds might find it a tad scary. Beware! But honestly, a great ride, out there themeing, and typical queue times, 45 mins average when we've gone. Though during Covid times and during a school week, we did it in 10 mins, awesome 👌

😠 What an utter pile of tripe! Everyone on this "ride" with us walked out with a bemused look on their face. I frankly wondered if I'd missed a bit. Not really anything of an experience...its not a ride, nothing ghostly, not thrilling, scary, entertaining or a decent story. Just odd and disappointing....
