The park serves as the perfect location to walk the world's least cooperative dog. Still, this gives plenty of time to take in the scenery. It's a beautiful place to be when the sun shines. When it's night, it really is pitch black in there, I can tell you from experience. I fell in the river one night because I literally couldn't see a thing. Because of this, I can't rate this location anything less than 5

A beautiful lake with so much wildlife, swans nesting in full view and when I visited there were so many ducklings. A perfect day out with a picnic or just a simple dog walk. The lake walk is easily accessible for prams or wheelchair users. There are plenty of cafes and ice cream vans dotted around so it’s never too far for a refreshment. There’s also a park and splash park which is free next to the lake for kids.

Beautiful lake to walk alongside and see all the geese and swans floating on the water and waddling around on the grass. Need to be very careful with kids and the pavements are in some places very slippery and could be dangerous if kids are running around as it’s next to the open water. Benches located alongside the lake for a little sit down and rest from walking. Perfect way to watch the animals float by and relax. Really enjoyed having a walk around here on a hot summers day.

Lots of parking available at Westminster Lodge entrance - 2 hours free. Or pay at St Michaels/Museum entrance - smaller & usually busier. Lovely unspoilt park with lake & river. New childrens playground - limited numbers. Splash park open in summer. Park very busy currently. Cafe open for outdoor service.

Huge park and equally huge lakes. Not so huge Roman ruins - most of the place was dismantled long ago to be used in the construction of the Cathedral up the hill. There are toilets and ice cream vans and vast expanses of grass. Ideal for picnics and letting the kids have a safe run around. No feeding of the wild waterbirds is allowed so no need to take along your stale bread.

The park is quite large, it contains the Roman wall and Mosaic and it offers stunning views of the cathedral. There are paid parking facilities at the entrances and toilets in the park. The walk around the park is pleasant and there are information plaques scattered around showing the history of the area. I visited in autumn and in summer and both times it was a pleasure. The walkway around the park is shaded which I appreciate!
