What a wonderful restaurant, i emailed on the day as our plans had changed and they were so nice straight away. We went for Nans birthday and every meal was absolutely delicious. We were 3 adults and 2 children, the children wear treated like valued customers and were asked their opinions and tastes as were the adults. The eldest said he felt like he was eating out on holiday as everyone was so nice and the food was so tasty! We will definitely be returning and can't wait to visit in the summer and have the view of the lake. From the gorgeous fresh bread and butter to start, the prawn main was exceptional and so was the affogato! We wished we had more room to fit more in at the end!!

My husband and I went here for an evening meal. We arrived at 20.55, and due to the new COVID regulations we needed to leave by 22:00. The staff were really nice and accommodated us. They wore face coverings throughout, and maintained good COVID-19 etiquette. We ended up ordering a risotto as an additional main, as my hubs has a big appetite! Overall, I would recommend this place to visit. However, as it was dark we couldn't really see the lake. We will be coming back during the day. Lovely atmosphere, a rose on each table, and very good food. Fast service.

Lovely staff, they were exceptionally kind and attentive. The view was gorgeous. But unfortunately the food was not up to scratch. I was expecting authentic homemade pizza, but instead I got stodgy pizza which tasted like it was a supermarket basic. My stomach is so bloated and hurting which is my usual reaction to over processed white bread. So I’m afraid I won’t be returning.

A hidden gem located in a very beautiful location! We ordered pasta & pizza and it was absolutely amazing! Perfect temperature, well cooked & really tasty! Service was really great too, special thanks to the team. Especially to Vince Terranona (owner) & Simona - They both really took care of us! See you again soon. 10/10 recommended!

Well what to say!? 4 of us went for my mums 70th early seating, 6:30 Very welcoming from the off polite but warm . Service was fantastic from all 3 people that served us . Very attentive but not in your face . Very helpful with any questions and changes Food was fantastic all 4 starters and mains were on point . Really good Not ridiculously priced either I. Comparison to other restaurants where we would of spent the same money Terranova blew them out the water All round was a fantastic evening and very busy by the time we left . Why have I not been there for the last 20 odd years , will be visiting again soon staff and food 5 star

The best restaurant in Welwyn Garden City, full stop. The food is fresh and delicious and all the staff go out of their way to provide professional yet really amicable, warm service each time. We love the atmosphere at the restaurant. We just came back jetlagged, from 2 weeks of wonderful food in San Francisco and were craving fresh authentic Italian food. We ordered a delivery from Terranova and it was as good as at the restaurant! Our favourite, by far and consistently outstanding! Carolina & Rob

We held a 70th birthday lunch at Terranova in May taking over the whole restaurant. We chose Terranova as we have dined there for over 20 years and always enjoyed our meals. On this special occasion Vince and his team did us proud with absolutely delicious food in a really great atmosphere and fantastic service. Brilliant day. Thank you.

We went to the restaurant for a celebration. There was 34 of us all having different things. They were wonderful and the food was gorgeous. The view was also wonderful. Thoroughly recommend.

Second time we have visited this restaurant in recent months and we were not disappointed. From the moment you walk in the door you have a welcome feeling and warm atmosphere. Then comes the food which is really good again we cannot fault it! Would definitely recommend for an evening meal at a local friendly restaurant.

It was well over priced for what we got. The portions were very small. Vegetables were supposed to be shared between three. There were just about enough for two. My granddaughter had a pizza. It was so bland and like eating cardboard. The dessert was mushy like it had been quickly defrosted. The reviews I had read on line definitely did not match up to the food we had. Will not be going there again

Lovely restaurant with fantastic food amd very friendly people working there. The wine went down very well and they even brought out a cake for my mum's birthday. The views across the lake are lovely and serene. If you're using the restaurant, you can park for free in the pay and display parking bays by the restaurant - just remember to give your car registration number to the restaurant staff and they will pop it into their computer for you. Would highly recommend coming here.

Amazing food, friendly staff, very clean place. The prawns starter is both huge and delicious definately try it. And free parking after 6 I believe. Well worth a visit if you get a chance.

Well..what I can say ? Clean ,elegant,lovely place situated in a fantastic location, I felt like going for a swim ,water was cold ....and I was worried about the big fish ....however ....I enjoyed a lovely cooked lasagne ragu' Italian style ...for sure best I have had for long time ...keep on with the wonderful work vincenzo ...ciao

We booked a table in this place on a Saturday night with our two litte kids. Our reservation was for 18:00 in the evening and we arrived at 17:51. The entrance door to the restaurant was locked and we knocked on it first they did not open. After knocking second time, a woman came out and told us that they open at 18:00. I told her that we are with small kids and it was chilly outside and asked if possible to enter since its 9 minutes left for the opening hour. To our surprise, the person said that they open at 6 o'clcok and we can not enter - although she saw that we are with kids. And of course we left the place after this incident. Just sharing for potential customersthe kind of hospitality they might get if they visit here.

Having not been for a few years owing to moving a bit further away, we made our way back and discovered that they now do pizzas as well. In a unique location , the better for that. This is a genuine Italian resteraunt with genuine Italian food. Served with joy and with a nice range on the menu. The white wine served as it should be, cold and the same with the water. It's the little touches that make this extra special. You will know when you get there. This is a resteraunt run by someone who is a genuine resteraunter and who knows his business. Fantastico!

Gem of a restaurant. Proper Italian food with great service and ambient. Will happily drive 15mins to eat here as nothing comes close to this in St Albans. The scallopa milanese is a favourite!
