Wow the foods were so good! (ordered a reindeer dish, meatball, and casserole) All were super tasty and flavorful. Glad that I visited this place based on the reviews!

Had a lovely solo meal here, thoroughly enjoyed the food! I had the 3 course set menu and would highly recommend! The flavours are fantastic and would definitely come back.

I believe that it is one of the best restaurant in Stockholm, Gamla stan. You must book in advance. Their meat, fish and others tasting were completely sophisticated . I would like to go there again if there is another opportunity to go Stockholm.

Good food (tender meat!) and friendly staff with good sense of humor. Had a lovely evening, and you really have to „kryp in” (crawl in) and watch your head if you are tall!

Great “sneak in” restaurant with good “Swedish” food. If you want to go more Skandinavien style, then go for the Skagen as a starter and fish bowl for main.

So so delicious 😋! I would recommend the shrimp and venison 🥰. Meatballs were also delicious but they weren't perfect like the other meals. The bread was out of the world, I loved it 😍! Delicious lingonberry chocolate dessert!

Over multiple meals, I tried a few of their dishes. All but one were fantastic, even that one dish had each component perfectly executed-together it just wasn’t my preference. Excellent service, the staff was really friendly, I would highly recommend this place.

We arrived 15mins to kitchen closing but they were very kind to sit us. Bread and crackers served with caviar chives butter which was superb Gazpacho was rich and flavorful Reindeer steak was perfectly made in a brown sauce with wonderful relish Fish stew was delicious but a bit salty for my palate Dark chocolate with hazelnut terrine served with poached strawberries and blueberries was perfect ending to a wonderful meal. Very reasonable prices, excellent quality highly recommended.

The fish soup (fish and shellfish casserole) tastes really great! I love it. The chocolate lingonberry truffle is also delicious, (balance of sweetness and bitterness)! A little too expensive but has a cozy atmosphere for small talk.

Pleasant restaurant in the city center. It’s quite popular so it might be hard to find a spot, we were lucky to get a table as some people were about to leave. The food is good, though my “warm” smoked salmon ended up being cold. Perhaps it’s just a cultural shock. Still, had a great time, the price was fair and the food felt healthy.

In general I like this restaurant. My dish was great and I really enjoyed it, but my colleague’s food was not so good. What is worth to mention, the restaurant resolved it in a very professional way, therefore I can recommend it

Lovely small restaurant in the old town area. The venison was delicious, we all said it was cooked perfectly. The other dishes were also good (baked cod, minute steak). Good service and cosy atmosphere

The food was overall delicious. The Jerusalem artichoke soup with scallops and lemon creme had a great contrast with the acidity of the lemon cream and creaminess of the soup. The reindeer roast beef was absolutely cooked to perfection. It was so tender and the mashed potatoes and lingonberry sauce complimented it so well. The fish and shellfish casserole was also delicious and very light. The mousse was dense and the crunch really made a difference. The service and the ambiance are also top notch would recommend it to everyone that is visiting Stockholm.

A delicious intro to traditional Swedish cuisine. Crammed into a puzzle of small rooms. Menus in English were available. Reservations are highly recommended. Wife had the blackened salmon and I had the red deer, both were delicious.

Amazing meal in a very cozy and welcoming environment. The next time in Stockholm I will make sure it is either my first or last meal when I arrive in town. Perfect for a day of exploring the royal palace, Nobel Prize museum, or simply walking around Gamla Stan. I had a 3 course meal recommended by the staff. It consisted of their soup of the day + homemade cream cheese as an appetizer (really 2 courses in my opinion), red deer with a side of mashed potatoes, and lime cheese cake with white chocolate and a berry remoulade. Each item was amazing and it was as if each course was more remarkable than the last. It was also very fairly priced for a little less than 600 krona. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming as well. I accidentally left a hat at my table and they were quick to help me realize it after I walked out of the restaurant. I would recommend going in a small group as the restaurant is very small - I counted 6 or 7 tables inside total with half being for 2. That said, the larger parties seemed very comfortable at their tables and the restaurant's homey atmosphere still invites table conversations. They also have outdoor seating in the side street it's located for warmer months of the year!

Absolutely delicious. Visited here last December. The food was very good quality, tasty, and service was wonderful. We were given a small basket of different breads and dips as an appetizer which allowed us to try some traditional Swedish food. The place was lovely and cosy, quite small inside but it added to the ambiance.

Fantastic food and lovely staff. I ate the casserole which in my opinion was a little salty but overall pleasant. My main issue would be the time it took from ordering to receiving my dish was rather long. Fantastic aside from that and I hope to return one day

I took my husband here for his birthday. The food is stunning and the service could not be faulted. They even added a candle in my husbands dessert!

Very humble local eatery with traditional food options, very friendly service and good prices. The food is qualitatively good and all local spirits such as the Skagen akvavit can be ordered here. The ambience is very inviting and cosy, with candle light and small tables.

Great and cozy place to have diner in a small street of the old town. Great meal, top service, we will certainly be back :)

Get the deer. Seriously, the most tender meat I’ve ever encountered. A gem in the busy Gamma Stan neighborhood tucked away from the tourists. Reservation highly recommended.

Sehr empfehlenswert!!! Wer schwedische Spezialität essen will sollte unbedingt dieses Restaurant probieren

Let me just start by saying my goodness what a hidden gem this is. If our Airbnb was just down the street from the restaurant we likely would have never noticed it and I’m so happy we did even if it set the bar waaaay high for all of our other meals. My friends and I decided to have dinner here a bit late after arriving in Stockholm and although the place was nearly empty we were warmly welcome by our server. We ordered the reindeer stew, the fish casserole, and the three course meal (the only thing pictured unfortunately). We couldn’t stop taking bites of each others food or decide which was best because everything was so uniquely amazing. Even the dessert of what was like a flourless chocolate cake was so good we had to order another. Once again our waiter was incredibly kind, welcoming, and has a great sarcastic charm. If you want a comfortable and intimate memorable meal I can’t recommend them enough.

We came in on a Saturday night without a reservation and the extremely friendly waiter made a space for us! The food was incredible- the most tender reindeer I have ever had, the cloudberrys with ice cream were fantastic (and not to be missed!!) I would really recommend this place for proper eating, cozy atmosphere, great service and just an all around great experience.

From the food to the service and the prices absolutely amazing. When the Chef is coming outside to ask for the plates, shows how is the service looked after. We took as starter the Shrimp Mayo, the Reindeer and the fish casserole as main and the cheese🧀 cake as dessert. Highly recommend. Top place 🔝🔝

The food was so good that we went for a second time during our short stay in Stockholm! Staff were very friendly and helpful in accommodating dietary restrictions. Chris was amazing at explaining at how almost everything on the menu can be adapted to suit my lactose intolerance.
