The Asian fusion fine dining concept here has worked well for many years. The dining hall is a tall dark wood room lined with mirrors on the walls and large chandeliers hang from the ceiling. It still exudes of old world luxury. We dined as a medium sized group. Although it was a full house, the space between tables are well distanced. Our table was laid professionally with polished wine glasses, drinking glasses and pressed napkins. FOOD: The menu here has a large enough variety to satisfy different dietary requirements. The standard of the sushi and sashimi are still outstanding. They are beautifully presented and taste equally good. The starters are also wonderful although the portions are small. So it is better to order a double portion when sharing as a group. For mains, my companions loved the Korean BBQ chicken which came on a personal charcoal stove. The Fermented Pork Belly was a strange mushy dish with crispy rice and crushed peanuts. It was fragrant with lemongrass, sourish but hard to really dislike or like. For desserts, the Fried Banana with ice cream is a safe bet. The green tea flavoured ice-cream on the other hand takes some getting used to. The Lychee Pannacotta is very sour and doesn't have the signature sweetness of fresh lychees. Our drinks for the evening was Tsingdao, (a Chinese beer) and a refreshing Amabuki Juimai Daigingo sake served chilled. Service is top class and our table was well looked after. A visit to Berns when in Stockholm is a classic experience. It's not a place to expect Swedish interpretations but inspired fusion dishes that still lets one imagine an exotic Asia. This restaurant opened in the 40s has stood the test of time and still continues to excite and wow patrons with its uniqueness.

Went here for lunch during my visit in Stockholm, mainly for the historical value of the place, but also for some quality in service and food - and was not disappointed! The dining hall is exquisite with the chandeliers and late 19's century decor, boosted with the antique details, mixed with modern necessities. The food was great for the prices, and my server, Liam, did an excellent job in both serving and presenting, while also being observant for any questions.

Surprised that this place got only 4 stars average. I think it deserves more. Yes, the place has beyond average price; and it does go by reservation. When one steps into the resto; we understand why. The building is grandeur and simply beautiful - must have some historic value to it. The food while in small portions, are meant for sharing and with the variety they have we simply have to order more. True to the theme, the resto offers ‘Asia’ food. being an Asian, this can be ‘doubtful’, as usually we have specific genres of food (Thai, Indonesian, Chinese, etc) but never bulked together. However we ordered some variety of dishes (Korean, Chinese, Japanese) and the taste - while adapted for the local flavor - was not disappointing at all. It was quite delicious. The meat in the Korean dish was cooked perfectly and the Szechuan dish had a wonderful peppery taste. The Sushi was made without fault. I recommend this place if you would like to have an experience eating in a great place with wonderful atmosphere; prepare to spend more as you go through the variety of menu in small sized plates.

You have to be prepared it’s a Swedish Asian. I had an apple drink, looked fancy and tasted nice but blunt. Not even a hint of the promised Yuzu or Sichuan pepper (lived on n Japan/HK 15 y). But the environment inside compensates the taste - depends on what you expect. The bartenders should have a further education though.

I was a little disappointed with the visit for julbrunch with my staff this year. Bookings are strictly 2 hours- I booked for 12, but the doors didn't open until 12. The food was tasty but limited, with not so much choice. The service was pleasant, but we felt rushed to pay and leave at 13:40. I came 5 years ago and it was magical; the food, ambience and service. Sad, I didn't feel the same this time. It was clear Berns was cutting costs.

Tried the brunch on Sundays. Disappointed, hyped and expensive. You would assume that the coffee should be included in the price but it's not. The desert was the best part, but would not return to pay 500kr PP for it.

Came in just for drinks. They have their own take on a number of classic drinks, and they cost what seems to be the standard Stockholm price of 185. The Negroni was super delicious, but the old fashioned had way too much bitter for my taste. The service was absolutely perfect, and the interior is really nice.

Beautiful venue, delicious food and good wine that pair with the food. I was at Bern’s Christmas buffet before Covid and I absolutely loved the variety of food and desserts. I hope to experience that again this year :)

Best place in town on 3 floors. The restaurant is really cozy with elegant chandelier and tasty food (I recommend to try the sushi). Then, the terrace on the last floor is the perfect place to have a drink post-dinner and there is also a disco.

We got lucky with service here and it was impressive how the lady who took our order memorized it and delivered them with proper pacing! Almost everything was perfect except the chicken satay which was bland. But the sushi were the best! I also loved the pork bao buns and the iberico and of course the korean rib eye! It got a bit busy later that night that the service was a bit slow but we definitely understood that. Nevertheless, we left the place with our tummies full and satisfied! Thank you!

The worst China Buffe I've ever been to. Totally worthless logistics. Waited in line for 20 min just to get some sushi. And we paid 50 euro (500 SEK) each and no drinks are included. What a waist of time. Taste is average at best. Avoid at all costs.

Been here twice, got 5-star dessert, stir fried wagyu beef and shrimp sushi (for this price range), yet also got 1-star noodle wok, the worst noodle wok I’ve ever had in a restaurant. This place has one of the best dining environments in Stockholm in my taste, since I prefer mesmerizing indoor decor and I do like huge chandeliers. The sweet shrimp sushi was the best I had in Stockholm, unfortunately they did’t have it the second time I was there. The dessert was very Asian, the cracker on the top took me back to my childhood. The stir fried wagyu beef was a pleasant surprise, perfectly cooked thin sliced meat that could almost melt in my mouth. However, do NOT order the noodle wok. The veggies were burnt inside, and the noodles were so soggy that when touched by chopsticks, they broke up into smaller pieces.

On weekends you can find a great Asian bufé. We ordered extra Otoro and Chutoro. Nice place, very recommended!

This Brunch for 600 per person is a joke - was there February 2023 and February 2021, they have reduced the food with about 50% and increased the price by 50%. Extreme disappointment. Won’t be going there again or recommend this place. It used to be great, now it’s a disaster… this brunch for 600 kr is a joke 😂

It’s a really beautiful place. We tried brunch buffet. Sushi buffet was pretty good. Warm food buffet was OK-ish. A bit cold and not that tasty or special. Price for the quality was high. Tea/coffee not included in the buffet.

The sushi is nice but was disappointed by the chicken and rib eye barbecue. The oysters were not very tasty and had a strong garlic flavor. The presentation of the plates was nice and the ambiance as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful 😊

Only had drinks and exctingly roasted chili soya covered cashew nuts. A glass of superb chardonnay and a bottle of gluten free beer. Bartender vara service minded, but it took a good 5 to 10 minutes to get his attention, even though our visit took place when it was very calm (no one else) in the restaurant /pub.

One of the good places for Asian food at a casual chic setting. Went there for lunch and opted for bento box which came with 3 maki sushi, sashimi, fish, fried vegetables and there was a Iberico meat which I asked to be swapped, and got another fish instead as well. The quality was good and the tastes were nicely matched. It wasn’t cheap for lunch but worth considering the quality of the food.

Nice evening where my company selected the “family style” dinner from the menu. I missed taking a picture of my favourite dish for the night, “Smashed cucumber “. Amazing!!!! 🤩

For Asian seeking something authentic, something closer to home. Berns offer a more familiar experience and food quality esp Japanese fusion and liquor.

Stockholm's place for first class Asian dining in a large spectacular 100 year old setting that first brought Chinese food to Sweden. Excellent food and service.

Made reservation as it’s pet friendly. They seated us and soon afterwards told us to leave. Someone being allergic of their staff. Was very weird. Plus, their menu is really very limited. Beautiful decor

A wonderful experience, very nice and professional staff. The food was both beautiful and full of different flavors. the atmosphere was wonderful and you feel very privileged to be in such a fine and historic restaurant.

The atmosphere is very cozy. Those ceiling chandeliers gives the place fancy vibes! The service is good and the food is tasty only downside is the food portions are small we had to go to McDonald afterward‼️

Expensive brunch with the average quality of the food.... It is not one of my favorite restaurants where I used to visit before COVID. Although the price has been increased significantly , many good meals are not included anymore ... NOT worth to come back again...

This place is good for taking photos, that's all. We've been there around 5.30pm and there were a lot of available tables, but administrator said the only available place is at the sushi bar. Those tables were free even when we left, so service is weird. Second issue, we were waiting for food almost an hour. No one warned us that it'll take that long and it's a huge minus for a good restaurant. The food was ordinary, nothing special except of price. Conclusion: if you want to take photos at fancy place, that's a good choice. But if you except good quality of food and service, better chose Wang or any other restaurant. Take care!

Wow here you call luxury dining, with a whole bunch of fine champagne! Amazing food amazing interiour! Fits for both dating and social dining! Love it. But the table is way to small like you see in pictures thats why i give it a one minus!
