Update July 2023: This place remained being the perfect lunch place with the combination of good food, fabulous view and affordable price. First review June 2022: Flavorful lunch with amazing view! The baguette is crunchy, chewy and soft, one of the best baguettes I had. The fish was juicy and combined well with the veggies and dill sauce. With a seat in the sun facing Djurgården landscape, this is a perfect lunch place.

When the restaurant is quiet it is VERY GOOD. Choice of coffee tea and food as well as beer and ice creams is wonderful. Plus the museum and shop. So good!!

A good restaurant with helpful staff and a great food offering, not many dishes but all well done and freshly made. The shrimp salad and pickled herring were very good. Nice to see extra salad and breads available free. Coffee only 35 krona. Try to get a window seat to benefit from the views over the central harbour and Vasa museum.

An average/good cafe at the Modern museum. Ofcourse it makes sense to have the food when visiting museum. The lunch time food menu was good with a variety of options in soup, sandwiches etc. we went in winters but I am sure in summers the setup for outside sitting must be great..!!

This place has a fantastic view of the city and great coffee with a good cake choice. This it's perfect for taking foreign friends out to town and showing them Stockholm. On the other hand the place is very crowded on a regular day, being part of a museum. The food here is really hit and miss though, stick to classics like pasta Bolognese and crackers, today, this disgusting chicken with beans was "dish of the day".

The restaurant has a magnificent view of the Nordiska and Vasa museum and Östermalm, Stockholm. They have a weekly menu. The food is excellent and reasonably priced (by Stockholm standard). The service is good. It was an delightful experience

Had the vegan soup with salad. A bit above average price but it covers up for the spectacular view of skeppsholmen and the lake it has to offer ! Must visit atleast once:)

Auf der Terrasse sitzt es sich schön, wenn auch auf wackeligen Holzstühlchen. Selbstbedienung, Essen, das länger in der Zubereitung braucht wird an den Platz gebracht Schöner Ort für eine Sightseeing Pause.

Excellent quality restaurant in an amazing museum. The perfect combination of art and food in Stockholm

Poor explanation and attitude from the staff. The digital menu keeps jumping every minute or so, very hard to understand the English part of the content if you are not already familiar with the items on the menu. When asked, the staff said that “you should read the menu before you order” even though I studied the menu for 10 minutes already. The staff was unaware of the content in English herself. The restaurant has a very nice view. The salad bar is pretty good since one can get a taste of Swedish style of salad and bread, but the set-up is not very tourist friendly.

The food is ok. The big plus of this place is the location and the view. During summer being outside is great as you have a marvelous view under the sun.

The vegetarian risotto was fantastic! Nice staff and a beautiful view.

It use to be the best lunch buffé but now it does not exist anymore, just ordinary expensive dishes. The view is still great though.

Thoughtful and very well prepared food. From the bread to the salad dressing, everything is made with attention to detail. Delicious and seasonal. Great view.

We ordered one sausage meal and one mushroom risotto for lunch on one Sunday in 2022. The dishes were so-so, I'm sorry to say this, but it's not worth value for money when it comes to food. But the view is fantastic! You can Djurgården and Strandvägen from Skeppsholmen, and sometimes ships pass by on the water. I don't know how the fika desserts taste like, but the fika price is the same with other fika places. So maybe it's better to come here for fika and enjoy the view of Djurgården + Strandvägen. :)

A great, simple museum cafe with a lot of choices and outstanding views of the water. The salad bar was really lovely, and the buns were good too. Coffee wasn't so great. I had the fried cod and it was very good. This is a museum restaurant so if you have been to one you know what to expect. This one was worth the money, great value and good spot to contemplate the exhibits.

The restaurant inside the museum was a very pleasant surprise. A big place, nice and with giant glass windows through which is possibile to view a beautiful scape of the Island. The menu is a buffet, with very good plates, desserts and drinks included in the price (which is quite cheap). An absolute choice for whom who has passed the museum

Definitely one of the nicer museum cafeterias I've been to, also thanks to the nice views of surrounding Stockholm.
