Very beautiful and charming hotel. You won't even like to get out to know the city, just to stay in this boutique hotel. Decoration and attention to detail is really nice. Breakfast is also one of the points in favour. Great experience and comfort.

Beautiful antique style boutique hotel. Really good breakfast with the normal bacon, eggs, bread but also chia puddings, pastries, cheese and fruit salad. We loved it! There is also coffee and tea available 24/7 and a really nice living room where you can sit down. The staff is super friendly and made our stay amazing. Location is excellent. The only issue was that the air in our room was quite moist, but that was probably just because it is autumn and it rained a lot, plus the building is old. Nevertheless I'm definitely coming here again!

Never have I lived in such a poor conditioned 4 star hotel, unless the criteria is different in the nordics…. Super old facilities, no lift, no heater… and with almost the same price of a 5 star hotel, it’s just so unfortunate when your secretary messed up with booking and you need to suffer😓 also the facilities were so old it was making odd noises during the night and the wall is so thin you can hear other people snoring ….

We stayed there end of the year and had a very nice experience. People are very welcoming and will make you feel at home. The hotel is not brand new but it's clean and very comfortable. There is a sauna that you can book and use for free which helps after a cold winter day roaming Stockholm. I recommend this place !

Says on booking.com it is 4 star hotel, so I booked at €120, expecting 4 star facilities. Turns out to be a 2 star pension. I would pay €80 for a room suiting 2 people including breakfast.

Small old rooms with a tiny bathroom. Entire hotel is dated and tired. Great location but we would not stay here again. Breakfast was good.

I stayed in Hotel Esplanade passing through Stockholm at the end of March. It exceeded all my expectations and was a wonderful treat. Room 14 is a magnificent corner room, with charming original art deco timber work and exquisitely refurbished soft furnishings. It is a luxurious and spacious sanctuary with beautiful attention to every detail. The bed was supremely comfortable, and the room was generously furnished with many chairs, tables, a desk, a large walk-in wardrobe, comfortable ensuite and various lights and lamps to adjust for ambient lighting. The room had beautiful views of the water and old buildings across the water. The hotel also has a comfortable lounge room with clusters of sofas and armchairs, refreshments and a lovely view over the water. The hotel staff were all very helpful and offered great advice for options to dine nearby and attractions to explore. It was short walk from the Vasa Museum, the Royal Palace, Opera House, great restaurants, shops, and many historical attractions. If you enjoy staying in charming historical buildings with amazing architecture, beautiful décor and excellent service then this is a wonderful find.

The hotel is located in a super convenient position ! The hall and the rooms are very "classic looking" but super comfortable and pretty. The Reception Staff is very nice and kind. I will definetly come back next time !

Hotel is close to several major museums, easy walking distance to Vasa, History, Art, and great restaurants. Rooms are fine, small by American standards, but quite reasonable by Scadinavian standards. Staff were very friendly and helpful with suggestions and bookings. Good price for middle of Stockholm!

Fantastic hotel. Super friendly staff and really great breakfast. The room was spacious and comfy. Bathroom was not big but enough. The bathroom also featured quality products. The minibar was well stocked and was not a rip off. There was something Downton Abbeyesque about the receptions rooms. Really like this place.

This hotel had small rooms but a really nice living room lounge at the end of the hallway which overlooked the harbor and had comfortable sofas and high-back chairs. It was well located – around a 10 or 15 minute walk to the wonderful Vasa Museum and the fun Viking Museum, and other museums and restaurants that were very near. The staff was extremely helpful and very good at taking care of their guests.

Great place! Clean and comfortable rooms, and wonderful staff! The hotel is in an old but very beautiful building with an amazing staircase that leads to the rooms. Breakfast was of best quality with plenty of options. Coffee is offered 24h, in a nice room, which makes it very nice for business trips and discussions. It is also in the center of Stockholm with lots of transportation options to visit around. Highly recommended!

Overpriced. Small, sad and dated rooms, flaking paint. The Hobo hotel (where we stayed at twice) was better and cheaper. Feels like this hotel hasnt been updated since the last wifi password change.
