Decent size clean rooms with great location. There’s a cafe and a bar on the ground floor and it is very convenient for whatever you might need. The only issue we experienced was the firmness of the mattress, way too much for us.

This is how all hostels should be! Easy check in and check out. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice ambience and very decent prices for additional services. Was very crowded during my stay, WiFi is strong. Breakfasts for 85 sek and above. The rooms have toilets and showers inside for 6 tenants. Located perfectly. You can rent bike and skate here if you want. The bar on premises is cool and priced well. Room and linen is clean and bed is comfy.

If you guys are looking for an affordable, classy and well located hostel in Stockholm, the Generator is exactly what you're looking for! It doesn't matter if you're travelling by yourself, with family or with friends. This hostel has really everything you need. I decided to spend New Year's Eve in Stockholm and I stumble across Generator so I gave it a go. First, it's really easy to find, max. 15 min walk from the city center. Second, the check-in wasn't a problem at all and the people of the staff were friendly and competent. The room itself is a subjective thing (it depends if you're alone or with family etc). Third, it's a great place to meet new people of all nationalities, it has a karaoke and if you want to play ping pong at 4 am in the morning, Generator says "it's all yours", and yes, the also have a billiard table. Overall, 100% recommended, I'll definitely be coming back! Tack!

Hostels are always hot or miss. But I’ve had a great stay with nice people at the generator. The front desk is friendly and accommodating. Larissa has been very helpful with laundry tokens and ordering food. The dirty burger is delicious.

I had a lovely stay at Generator. As a solo female traveler I felt safe and right at home. All of the receptionists were really welcoming and helpful, cheers guys! I stayed in a private room on the seventh floor and had a beautiful view from the three windows. The room was clean and spacious. I already can’t wait to come back! Thanks Generator ❤️

The rooms are really clean and the beds are comfortable. The rooms have decent space and is not congested like other hostels at all. The connected bathroom to the room may not be the best, but serves the purpose. The biggest problem which was experienced by us was that the hostel allows private parties, where the music can be extremely loud even after 01:00 AM. This could have been a one day thing, but no, this carried on over 2 days of my stay in Stockholm. The loud bass doesnt let you sleep at all, which is really sad. I hope the hostel takes strict actions towards this so that not all the hostelers coming in the future have to go through this.

Very good hostel with a little space for improvement. What I liked: - Room and bathroom were clean. - Bed pretty comfy. - Helpful staff. - Located near the central station, not in a crowded touristy area, but at 5 minutes walking from shopping and livelier streets. - Spacious communal area in the hall with a big table where electric plugs are located. - Staff is there 24/7. What I didn't: - Doesn't provide basic towel and shampoo (or perhaps I didn't see it). I recommend this hostel for anyone, I would definitely go again but this time I'll bring my own towel and a lock.

Generator Stockholm is a good place to stay on your trip. I stayed in a four bedroom hostel and it was comfortable, spacious enough, and neat. It is also close to the city central. I slept in and missed breakfast, though, and that's because I didn't get adequate information about when breakfast ends. If you are looking for a nice place that is not too expensive to stay during your trip, consider choosing this facility. It is a lively and safe place.

It's like staying at a 5-star hotel, only the rooms are shared. The ventilation fan stays on in the bathroom, so it's dry and fresh. Everything is clean and polished. The rooms are quiet, have abundant storage space and hooks, and each bed has its own light and electrical outlet. There's no kitchen, but there is a bar and a decent breakfast menu.

When we arrived on Thursday evening the queue for Reception service was huge. After a while the Receptionist said they had some self service Check-in computer. Perfect. We already Checked-in online and with the QR-Code it just took us minutes the get our key cards. The room itself was huge. Way bigger than expected. Bathroom was totally from plastic. Tiny but absolutely enough. The whole room was very clean. Only little minus is the mattress. Both of us got some back and shoulder pain. Tried the breakfast a la Card and got surprised again. Very yummy.

The room was quite expensive. We booked a king size room in the 7th floor (701) and the room was dirty when we arrived. The bathroom was very simple with a shower curtain and everything was plastic. The sink was dirty and black, the windows where dirty and there were some little “things” on the Storage Space. It Looks way better in the pictures that in real life. Felt cheap and the bathroom is like in a highway stop… Not what we expected for a night in a hotel for 150€ :/ Very disappointed. The breakfast is (at this high price) not even included and if you don’t book it in advance it will be more expensive. The lobby is quite nice they have some animations and events in the evenings (more for young people…). There is the possibility to rent a bike for 10€ (3 hours) wich I think is also very expensive… would not really recommend this place… the bed was good through!

The room is spacious and clean, the people staying here show good vibes and all the staff is quite helpful and sympas. I had a problem with my bed once I checked in, got downstairs and they solved it in less than 5 min. The breakfast is also good, and Nick from Canada is quite welcoming there!

Rooms are nice, clean and comfortable just a bit outdated. Breakfast is nice and not too busy. The location is what makes this place worth every penny, everything is close by and it’s easy to from one spot to another.

Stayed here with our 2 kids in a family room. Very clean and perfect for a city break. The breakfast was very reasonable when booked the night before. Loved the vibe of the cafe/bar area, we enjoyed sitting playing cards or ping pong.

That’s a good place for the travelers. Only thing is; the beds need curtain and also the upper bunk beds are exposed to too much room light which is bad for sleep… The employees are very polite and kind. Also, if you come to the bar, William will make you feel especially welcome and recommend drinks.

Good location, clean rooms, and nice downstairs area to gather at anytime of the day. The only downside is the 4 person room is very small but if you plan to explore Stockholm and just sleep and shower here, it’s a good option

Got this room after our flights into Stockholm. The hostel is close to the train station so it’s in a great location. Rooms and bathroom are super clean with plenty of outlets around the room. Also shower pressure is great. Blackout blinds in private rooms so you can take a quick nap if you had a red eye. Got checked in by Harmida who was super nice and got us into rooms early!

Well equipped and located, though with some let downs. The rooms are spacious compared to other mosern hostel types, the common areas are tastefully decorated with cool themes, and the staff was helpful and fast in getting our requests. The downside is that the room cleaning service was confusingly very limited. They only replaced toilet paper and the towels on the floor, but didn’t clean anything else, like for example floors on either bathroom or room, etc. If it had been no cleaning at all at least it would have felt like an intentional choice. Their current approach didn’t really accomplish much, but frustrated more

I stayed in a female dormitory for 4 nights. Room is clean and location is great. Didn’t really like the fact that there’s no shower in community space so you’ll have to share 1 toilet/shower with other 5 people. Sometimes you have to wait quite a while to have a shower. There’s also no community space to chill. All the seats are for the cafe and bar so there’s nowhere to enjoy your own food

We came on short notice and they tried everything to get us a room. The room was clean and had everything you need. Breakfast is really tasty, great coffee. Staff is friendly and professional. I'd highly recommend Generator Stockholm.

Good space with lots to do bike hire and a club downstairs. The rooms were safe clean and comfortable. Even with the club downstairs you couldn't hear any music on the 5th floor.

Our stay was really lovely! The rooms and bathrooms were very clean, the same about the whole hostel. The breakfast was very tasty and the whole common area was cozy. Also the staff was so kind and helpful, greetings to Wiktoria! Definitely recommend. ☺️

I loved my stay in this hotel. Thank you, Mohamed, for such a friendly welcome. I travel quite a lot and it's important for me to feel comfortable and "at home" in the place I stay. Here I had these feelings.

Was apprehensive staying at a hostel for the first time. But my son’s student tour was setup there so no choice. 2 restaurants and bars. Food was pretty good. Accommodations with private bathroom was better than expected. The best thing about this place was the vibe. Multi-generational guests. Lots of young adults, but also middle aged people and even granddad and grandma staying there. Thursday evening onwards the place kicked into another gear. The tour company had said this is not like a normal European hostel, they were right!!!

The rooms are rather large and the accommodations in them are convienent and perfectly clean. The hostel is actually pretty clean all over ( rooms, halls, lobby and bar). And the bar is nice, the concert was lovely yet we could keep talking. William at the bar will provide you nicely with cocktails or beer.

It's a big place, so many rooms and it's good quality overall. The rooms have too many beds in my opinion, so feels no comfortable. For a room with 6 beds i think it should have 4. In the reception area more power outlets are needed. Laundry was a bit expensive but at least it was good quality cleaning compared to other hostels.

William and Moe, as well as the whole staff have been lovely! Very good food, drinks are fair. And the vibes are perfect. Great people and great hostel. All in all wonderful hostel

Overall a really wonderful Hostel in the heart of Stockholm, very near to the Airport Express and main city centre. The best part is the kitchen, all meals incl. breakfast is made to order so food tastes really fresh and amazing. The bed in rooms are also very comfy. Staff is very helpful and friendly. And last but not least the room pricing is very affordable despite being in the city centre. I highly suggest to stay here on your next visit to Stockholm.

Everything about my stay was great and convenient, except the food. I didn’t care much for it, but it’s more about the stay than the food. The location is so convenient. The beds were comfortable and the rooms clean. I was very pleased with my experience.

Had a great stay at Generator Stockholm. They can be proud to wear the Generator badge and they live up to standards of quality that is usually expected from these types of hostles. The lack of a movable shower head was a bit strange and the music in the lounge is a bit too loud.Outside of these 2 small complaints, everything was fantastic. The service at the reception is friendly and fast, the rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable.

Great place to stay at!!!! My experience here at Generator Hostel was just amazing: clean rooms, great service and restaurant. I had dinner at the hostel the first night I’ve been here, the food was fantastic and the service as well. In particular, I want to mention William, barman and waiter, ask for him to serve you when you’ll be here!!!

Great hostel ambience and nice people all around just was expecting a shared usable kitchen which was not there... Ahmad was super helpful to us with knowledge regarding airport train bookings and Northern lights. The restaurant staffs were also helpful in heating up some of our foods so a good experience there as well.

Ahmad was absolutely fantastic. Extremely helpful and friendly while not seeking anything in return. A true gentleman. I look forward to returning again and seeing Ahmad thrive in his acting career in the big apple. Ahmed directly translates to salt of the earth in English. Thanks

Female only dorms are more expensive that mixed dorms which I can see by photos there seems to be more in a female only room but that is ridiculous to be charging extra for a girl to be able to stay in a room with girls only. The rooms are reasonable tidy however it gets very warm at night and you can not open the windows. I stayed in a 6 bed dorm which had only men in it for the two night. One person needed to clean their clothes and needed to shower and so the room smelt bad and you could not open a window.

The hostel was quite nice room a bit dirty and the bathroom was quite disappointing - old and smelt horrible. We had couple of breakfasts there which were nice but the orange juice was definitely diluted with water.. staff was nice and super friendly though.

Had a great time here. Excellent facilities and location. Very happy with my stay and breakfast being served by Nick was superb and exemplary! Would be nice to have more choice for breakfast if you buy a token though. But very enjoyable stay

Rooms were clean. Even if your in a room of 6 it's still relatively private. (As private as 6 can be be anyways.) Excellent location, good food but you have to buy it at the hostel. Would recommend

It is fine for the price. There is a lot of social activities in the hotel and the rooms are comfortable. Upon arrival our room and bathroom were really clean but it was quickly fixed after telling the staff.

Now this place is truly interesting. Although it serves it's purpose and is an OK place to stay, the issue is, it's not really a hostel. This place is a hotel first, a money magnet second and finally, a hostel third. Near enough everything will be a charge for you, and THE ONLY hostel feature is the fact that your room is shared and they do activities each night in their main room. That is it. Don't be put off though, if you need a place to lay your head down at night and a place where your stuff can stay put safely, this IS the place for you. Just don't expect the warm touch of a hostel here.

Rooms were nice and quiet. Bed was comfortable. Around 25 minutes to the heart of old town, really nice walk with lots of things nearby. However, the hostel is so massive that there's not really a cozy vibe to meet other travelers.

Best Hostel I ever stayed in. From the rooms, to the employees to the events and vibes in general, it was superb and I would definitely recommend staying here. Around the hostel are many great cafes and restaurants too. approximately about 6 minutes to the main train station. There is a 7/11 right across the street. The front desk personnel was extremely courteous and lent us rechargeable metro tickets. In the evenings there are events such as bingo night, trivia night and much more!

Great hostel, its clean and feels very new. Super nice staff as well. Only minus was semi drunk, semi old dude in the room, with loads of snoring and no awareness of other people in the room. Hard to blame the hostel for this obviously, but maybe an age limit could be considered?

Amazing service and amazing stay! I was here with a group and we had the best time and experience! Fun evening activities. The staff were amazing especially Nick! Really all of them were so friendly and nice! Will definitely come back here again.

Definitely one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in. So modern and technologically advanced. I loved being able to do the check in and the check out by myself. Very intuitive (and fast!) process. Kind staff, great atmosphere, karaoke and table tennis, big building, modern rooms, great buffet for breakfast… I would come back !

The location was great at the heart of the city. Generator's bar is very nice with affordable prices and activities such as table tennis and karaoke. The service is really nice as well. If you want to visit Stockholm, Generator is a great value for your money!

An amazing hostel! Slept there for 4 nights and I'm really happy I did so. Rooms are great and the card/chip system works wonderfully. Do yourself the favor of having breakfast in the restaurant since it's really tasty and the amount is plenty enough to keep you well fed. Wifi was a bit unstable, so I mostly used my own data, and the lighting in the bathroom is horrible. The sensor turns off the light every 10 seconds or so, which is really annoying when you're taking a shower, or doing whatever you're doing out there. Love the whole reception/café area which is very cozy and makes for a great workspace as well, even though the music can be a bit too loud. All in all I recommend this to anyone visiting Stockholm!

Hostel is really modern, clean, close to the city centre, has amazing places for meeting people, prices here are cheaper but heating in bathroom is really bad and during winter time you could be freezing cold. Also there is small area for luggage. Twice of time we had to ask for toillet paper, nobody came until the afternoon. Also prices are not fixed every day/season so be mindful of that when you want to reserve your stay here.

Very nice place. Would totally recommend this one. Me and my girlfriend enjoyed the atmosphere and the place. The breakfast is great, there are daily activities like boardgames and karaoke a great place to chat and have fun. The bed is a big one and very comfy, the bathroom has heated floors and the water pressure was great even on eight floor. Totally recommend this!

Location is excellent, very clean and friendly desk, kitchen and bar service attendants. Common areas was well thought out and comfortable. It feels like a massive home with welcoming people. You should definitely try the Swedish style burger. Amazing! Not really a con but: The heating seemed to have been really close to my bed (lower bed), so sometimes it felt like I was being slowly cooked 😄.

We booked a dormitory room and it was a great experience. Location is perfect as you can have an access to nearby points in Stockholm. Room is good with comfy beds and proper facilities. I really liked the privacy arrangement with beds & power close-by. Washroom need to be little clean.

Really nice place to stay for a few days and value for money. We stayed at the deluxe double room. It was relatively clean and comfortable. Some more attention to cleanliness must be paid and the pillows as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the bar at the hotel lobby is a great option for a drink and snack.

Great looking hotel, nice atmosphere and good facilities (although you have to pay for everything). Double room was okay, nice design but the lighting wasn’t very cosy. Bar was nice and not too expensive. 3 stars because you couldn’t open a window, which means only stale and dry air from the building’s climate control.

Super cute no frills hotel masquerading as a hostel. Most things are self managed but interactions with staff have been positive. Black tea washing liquids included in the bathroom. Clean and functional room even if the bed & pillows were on the firm side. Very affordable option for Stockholm!

Quite honestly one of the coolest places I’ve stayed while traveling. The Superior Twin room is a perfect balance of cleanliness, spaciousness, comfort and affordability, and the staff and service is amazingly good. Shout out to Joel, Diana and Alina for being awesome, all around super nice staff members - thanks for making an iced latte when there wasn’t one on the menu! Overall, Stockholm Generator has a great vibe, with a little bit of everything close by. I will absolutely stay again ✌️😊

I loved this place and will definitely be back for my next stay. The staff were delightful, the rooms were clean, the group breakfast was amazing (I still dream about those mini bread loafs!), there was a vending machine which came in handy multiple times, the restaurant in the hostel was good, the decor everywhere was very contemporary, chic, and creative. It created a warm, accepting, modern vibe to the whole place. Overall this place is amazing and I would totally recommend to anyone ❤️

Overall it was good. The hostel was modern and clean and the social area was good to meet new people. It was close to city centre so it’s very convenient. However, I lived in first floor so I can hear a bit noise from the club, it only slightly affected my sleep but I’d recommend bring a pair of good earplug.

Nice hostel not so far away from the central station. The price were decent and each evening their plan some events to gather everybody in the common room. Even though I never actually experienced the events it was a nice excuse to get together with other travelers for a table soccer game. The breakfast ist nice and has a fair size as long as you buy it the day before. The hostel has also the opportunity to rent a bike for one or more days to explore the city. Even though it is a basic bike with no gear and drives very good.

Overall a good hostel. Rooms are big and spacious enough, the bathrooms were clean and the staff was very accommodating and professional (Cecilia was especially kind and helped us a few times). The only downside: this is not the kind of hostel I'd recommend if you're solo traveling, there are more social options out there

We came here twice. It's a very good hostel, great location and the rooms are quiet. Harmida was the person who greeted us on reception and she was very nice, she explained everything we needed to know in order to make our stay us comfortable as possible.
