By far the best bang for the buck burgers in Sweden. Cheaper than McDonalds and the quality is about the same as many of the hipster burger places. I’ve eaten here several times and never been disappointed. Freshly made burgers with good topping and sauces, served in a classic US diner atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff. Recommended!

Incredible burgers and milkshakes. Also the 50 style furniture also gives the place a colourful environment. Highly recommended going there for lunch or an early dinner.

Mel’s Diner has been such an amazing experience. The aesthetic inspired by the typical American restaurants of the 50's is totally achieved, for a moment you forget that you are on a Swedish island in the middle of the Baltic. The quality-price ratio is wonderful considering that you are in Sweden, 95 crowns for a burger with fries and a soft drink. The hamburger was spectacular and delicious.

I tried this restaurant's hamburger previously via Foodora, but it was cold, so I waited to rate it..After trying the meal (grass feed +halloumi) inside the restaurant, the flavor and impression were the same! Well the bread was fresh, the hamburger was cooked perfectlly but lacking in flavor! The sauce inside was also lacking flavor .. The fried potatoes were dry (due to being heated several times) or perhaps because it was fried on a high temperature! And the onion rings were just ok!

Very nice place to visit. We had Lunch and place was full off people. Very friendly service. Lots to see here.

Out-friggin-standing! Definitely took care of any homesickness I had. Hade a Rouk 66 burger, onions were caramelized well, burger a perfect medium well (seasoned just right). My kids had milkshakes and commented, repeatedly, how nice it was to have a REAL shake. Fries & Cheese sticks were excellent. Why can't this be in Germany??? Thanks to the awesome staff for a great Lunch/Dinner!!

Fair prices and quick service. Burgers are tasty, all the sides are decent and the place has more charm than the entire rest of the neighborhood. One star off because the drinks were not chilled, otherwise great experience.

One of very few diners in Sweden and this is def. my favorite one. Nice personnel, great food and awesome interior. Worth stopping by!

One of the best dining experiences. Upon entering the dinner you are immediately transported back to a typical American 70/80’s dinner setup. And every feels like you are living the past. You can order food directly at the console upon the entrance or at the main reception desk area. Service was really nice and quick. There is a lot of seating space and The food was great!! Overall a fun experience to grab a bite. Do visit this for a very 80’s vibe and a delicious budget friendly meal.

We are here a few times during our stay in Visby. I ate the Thanous Plusmeny for 179kr. It was well composed but soaked in grease. Their fries were really good though. And despite the greasy burger the taste was SO good. The tables on their terrace were very sticky but aside from that the decor was AMAZING, felt like I was in a 50s diner. I would definitely revisit!
