"Why
are
you
taking
photos
of
the
food?".
That's
the
first
thing
I
heard
when
I
entered
the
Swedish
railroad
company
SJ's
lounge
at
Stockholm
Central
Station.
The
woman
asking
was
an
(unmasked)
lounge
staff
member,
and
the
question
baffled
me
to
the
extent
I
had
to
ask
her
why
wanted
to
know.
The
only
thing
I
shot
was
the
food,
which
the
photos
attached
this
review
show.
In
retrospect,
the
buffet
didn't
really
justify
any
photos
-
at
least
not
if
you're
not
a
fan
of
garlic
dip
sauce,
dry
salty
crackers,
olives,
carrot
sticks,
fig
(!)
marmelade,
smelly
moldy
cheese
and
apple
juice.
The
kind
of
comfort
food
that
most
people
enjoy,
and
that
you'll
find
in
most
airport
lounges,
is
nowhere
to
be
had
here.
SJ's
lounge
seems
to
be
more
about
stiff,
assumed
up-scale
food
items
than
things
people
in
general,
including
kids,
favor.
If
sandwiches,
pastries,
soft
drinks,
pasta
salads
and
the
occasional
carrot
soup
are
your
thing
then
look
elsewhere.
This
lounge
is
more
about
what
you'd
expect
to
find
at
an
art
exhibition,
and
less
about
satisfying
your
belly
for
a
four
hour
train
trip.
The
lounge
atmosphere
is,
on
the
other
hand,
relaxed
and
quiet.
The
contrast
to
the
busy
concourse
below
the
panoramic
windows
is
inarguably
stark,
which
-
along
with
the
bathroom
amenities
-
is
likely
the
real
reason
why
you
want
to
spend
time
here
in
the
first
place.
The
coaches
and
armchairs
and
the
sound
proof
glass
almost
make
up
for
the
sub
par
buffet,
the
broken
WiFi
and
snarky
staff.
Almost.
