The
city
of
Stockholm
has
equipped
and
renewed
parts
of
St.
Göransparken.
In
the
program
for
the
renovation,
consideration
has
been
given
to
the
cultural-historical
qualities
that
St.
Göransparken
has.
Walls,
stairs
and
terraces
are
preserved
but
equipped
and
partly
given
new
content.
The
work
started
in
November
2019
and
was
completed
in
May
2020.
The
park
should
be
a
vital
neighborhood
park
on
Kungsholmen
with
play,
stay,
rest
and
floral
splendor.
The
existing
playground
at
Igeldammsgatan
will
be
moved
to
the
existing
terraces
in
the
center
of
the
park.
The
playground
is
being
built
on
the
northern
terraces
on
two
levels
and
will
include,
among
other
things,
swings,
a
trampoline,
a
playhouse
and
a
climbing
frame,
as
well
as
plenty
of
seating.
The
two
southern
terraces
will
be
equipped
with
many
of
the
existing
qualities
such
as
greenery,
trees
and
seating
and
supplemented
with
a
surface
suitable
for,
for
example,
bowling.
Hundrastgården
will
remain
in
its
current
location.
New
trees
will
replace
the
old
trees
that
are
not
in
such
good
condition
today.
Perennial
plantings
are
pleasing
to
the
eye
and
stimulate
biodiversity.
New
walkways
to
the
terraces
will
be
constructed
and
the
lighting
will
be
supplemented
for
increased
safety.
Existing
walls
and
stairs
are
preserved
and
upgraded.
The
changes
are
part
of
the
development
that
is
planned
to
take
place
in
Stadshagen.
