Currently
staying
at
the
hotel
at
the
time
of
writing
this.
The
good
part
is
that
the
hotel
itself
is
well-located
next
to
the
waterfront,
in
a
high-end
area
of
town
and
with
other
centrally-located
destinations
also
within
walking
distance.
It’s
also
a
very
handsome
hotel
from
the
outside,
with
nice
enough
(though
somewhat
dated)
interiors.
Finally,
the
breakfast
is
very
good
and
was
included
with
our
room.
The
bad
part
is
that
our
room
(front
facing
and
with
a
‘sea
view’)
has
been
thumping
all
night
(9pm—1am)
for
two
nights
in
a
row
due
to
very
loud
music
with
heavy
bass
coming
from
somewhere
else
in
the
hotel
(I
believe
the
ground
floor
outdoor
speakers
or
the
hotel
restaurant/bar
on
the
1st
floor).
When
I
called
the
front
desk
about
this
the
first
night
(because
I
couldn’t
get
to
sleep),
I
was
told
they
would
do
something
to
address
the
noise,
which
they
never
did.
I
followed
up
in
the
morning
and
was
told
there
was
some
sort
of
wedding
event,
and
this
was
a
one-off
experience
out
of
their
control
(annoying,
but
okay
I
suppose).
However,
here
I
am
the
next
evening,
and
for
the
past
two
hours
my
room
has
again
been
shaking
from
loud
music
and
bass.
This
time
when
I
called
the
front
desk,
I
was
met
with
“we
with
check
it
out
and
do
something,”though
nothing
has
been
done.
I
also
asked
about
changing
rooms,
but
was
told
the
hotel
is
fully
booked.
In
other
words,
this
is
the
second
night
in
a
row
without
being
able
to
sleep
easily,
with
no
action
or
remedy
on
the
part
of
the
hotel.
Being
able
to
sleep
well
seems
like
a
basic
requirement
at
an
upscale
hotel,
so
it’s
difficult
to
recommend
Hotel
Diplomat
to
others
based
on
this
experience
and
the
fact
that
Stockholm
has
so
many
other
nice
alternatives
for
accommodation.
