Great food, wasn’t able to get a table because we didn’t have a reservation but had a seat at the bar with full menu available. Got the garlic bread as an appetizer & two of the sausage plates, food was amazing. Had several different beers that were on tap & also great. They were busy but attentive!

The beer selection is amazing. Unfortunately, the stuff was not very friendly, but it was the end of the day and maybe they were just tired.

Great find in Stockholm - would recommend a visit for anyone who likes beer and mussels. The service was great, the gentleman that served us was friendly, accomodating and would recommend dishes. The food itself was great, the mussels were big and the different flavours available were interesting and tasty. The selection of beers was also impressive. There is an outdoor seating area available as well with 6-10 tables available. Give it a visit for lunch/dinner

Lunch was ok. This place shines in the evenings with great beer and food though but this review is for lunch 😉

First time in Belgobaren. This cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! Despite of the busy evening, the waiters were absolutely delightful, but there was this one waiter, who brought such a cheerful spirit to our table, and for that I would like to give him ten stars! The food was fenomenal – everything we tasted melted in our mouths. They also had a wide wine and beer list and wonderful dessert! I recommend to everyone! I am most definitely coming back here again.

They snuck us in when though we didn't have reservations and they were full. They have a really great collection of beers. I really enjoyed my Chimay which they had in tap. I also enjoyed their special which includes white asparagus with hollandaise sauce, shrimp scampi and potatoes. My husband also loved the beef stew.

Excellent meal and beers. It was my first visit here after been 4 times in Stockholm. We ordered moules frites and it was a delish. The fries are served with an exquisite home made mayo and the mussels were super tasty. Local Belgium beer was great as well but for some can be a bit pricey but it was perfect considering the good service and also you get free bread slices with a paste made with olives. I’ll definitely come back

Well I would first explain my 5 starts quickly. I had been to Belgium before and had my own share of authentic Belgium beverages and food, and I am enthralled to say Belgobaren was successful to transpire me to Belgium. Well Belgians love their beers and I found the restaurant quite passionate with the same so much so that they have a whole page dedicated to beers and their kinds, depiction and much more. Swayed by the authentic taste, explored 3 different kinds of beers -Chimay Doree, Belgo DIPA and their homebrewed Black Isaak. They had a lot of delicious food options and compelled by my exploratory nature, I ordered 0.5 Krav Marked Mussels and boy they were succulent.

I was amazed at how busy this bar / restaurant was. Reservations recommended for the busy dinner times. Nice selection of Belgium and Belgium style beers. Asked our server what would he recommend that we would probably only get there and I was provided with a treat of a number of limited edition / numbered bottle Black Jack beers.

We were staying at the Nordic Light Hotel, which is just across the lane, and on a Sunday when most hotels in Stockholm are closed, this was an amazing find for our last dinner in Sweden. A small but cozy place, although the tables are so close to each other that you practically feel like you are seated on the same table with a group or couple. We didn't have a reservation on a Sunday evening, yet the host made us feel welcome and gave us a seat. This place has got a huge collection of beers and is known for moules. Their menu card suggests a beer to go with each of their item. We had a trout and a sirloin meat with baked potatoes . The preparation was mouth watering, and the quantity is decent too. We had a non alchohic tap beer, which was just awesome, trust you me you will not miss the regular beer after you have this one.

Delicious mussels for dinner! My boyfriend and I had 1kg each and we both felt very satisfied by the end of dinner. 269kr per kg of mussels. Also available in 500g portion but we were both super hungry so we ordered 1kg each. The mussels were fresh and good. We chose bacon and cream and the lobster sauce one. We wish that there would be more sauce. The service was okay. We sat outside and had to order at the bar which was fine but would be better if there’s a bit of music and heater outside as well. But we still would recommend to others if they love blue mussels! Great selection of Belgian beers as well. Can’t wait to return! Make your reservation if you wish to sit inside because it’s quite popular.

The food is incredible and they have an amazing range of drinks. We went Friday night and hoped two of us could dine, they were far too busy. So we booked for Saturday, no regrets!

Really nice and cozy place. I especially love lunch where you can order mussels (among other nice food) for lunch price. Also soup, lots of salads, bread cakes, coffee and tea are also included in the lunch! I visited this place for the dinner as well and mussels were amazing

Expensive for a belgium experience The mussels are good but clearly, take the 1kg and not the half if you are hungry

The beer is Belgian so that gets a good mark, but the steak was so so.

Rude staff. I asked if I could sit at this table while all tables were empty and this was the response: absolutely not. Now I understand if someone tell me sorry they are fully booked. What is “absolutely not” ?!!! I cannot believe in this day and age there are people that still don’t know basics of treating customers.

If you have never been to Belgobaren in the very centre of Stockholm City (a 2 minute walk to the central station) you simply must go for a visit. A noteworthy selection of the very best of the best Belgian beer brands and sorts are offered on tap and bottle. Added to this they brew a variety of beer types themselves. Of course they offer food as well; bites, traditional dishes and nicer multiple course meals are served at a reasonable price given the location and quality. The atmosphere is great and if you go there once you will most probably want to go again.

It's a reliable place. The food is good. The Moules Frite in it's various tastes are so good. Lots and lots of belgian beer. Staff is professional and quick. This restaurant never lets you down.

Delicious food and great service. The bartender Cris was very knowledgeable of the beers and that made the tasting experience more interesting. The chef Lincoln prepared a tasty meal for us. The atmosphere is cozy. Good music and clean toilets.

Our waiter was very friendly and did everything he could to help us, including staying after his shift was up when the bartender walked out. The food was good and it was a nice dinner after a long day of traveling.

We had mussels (1 kg) with french Fries at a reasonable price (269 skr). The mussel shells were big with big mussels inside. Delicious. As in most places here water is free of charge. Tables are booked well ahead and from early in the evening, but when you arrive at 20.30h you find a table without booking.

As a Belgian, I would say this place is a Swedified Belgian restaurant. Apart from the moules, I couldn’t find a lot of real Belgian dishes on the menu. Was missing e.g. shrimp croquettes or vol-au-vent. Even the carbonade is served with mashed potatoes instead of with fries. The waiter mentioned that that’s how the Swedes prefer it - which is fine if you have a restaurant in Sweden - but then the name Belgobaren for me doesn’t seem right. The food itself was very tasty though! Main reason for losing another point was the very slow service. We had to call the waiters to finally get some menus, to finally order food, had to ask twice to get another glass of wine etc.

Belgian naar with decent food options. Good atmosphere. The menu card was wrinkly and looked like it went through a lot of hands. Just replace it. What items in the kitchen look dirty and are not cleaned or replaced is my thinking then. I ordered asparagus with a steak. The meat was good. The asparagus was a bit undercooked and the bernaise sauce was poured on the meat instead of the asparagus. The staff is friendly with good energy.

I stopped by here during my Stockholm visit on 5/11/22. I got food poisoning from the rainbow trout entree for dinner. The drinks and service were adequate. I reached out to management by email (from their website) and they have been unresponsive for weeks.

It was delicious, fast, great beer! we were satisfied with the service of our garcon, despite the large number of visitors.

I’m a traveler from Belgium who’s been away from home for over a month by now. I was extremely happy when I went to Belgobaren: their moules-frites and great selection of beer made me feel as if I was at home again. I highly recommend this place!!!

Good vibe, good food and most importantly, good beers 🍻! The mussels with wine and cream is a perfect match with my beer. Very great place for friends gathering.
