👍👍 Update April 2023: The Unadon was better this time, partly because now they served the cucumber and avocado on the side instead, so it was not like a Poké bowl. The Tayoyaki was good as ever. The wagyu beef sushi and soft shell crab sushi rolls were also very delightful. However the Otoro this time... Update April 2023: The Unadon was better this time, partly because now they served the cucumber and avocado on the side instead, so it was not like a Poké bowl. The Tayoyaki was good as ever. The wagyu beef sushi and soft shell crab sushi rolls were also very delightful. However the Otoro this time was not to my satisfaction. Comparing with all the Otoro I had in the past, this one was lack of fat in the meat and the color was a much darker red. When I asked the waiter if it was Chutoro, he insisted that it was Otoro. First visit January 2023: Finally a Japanese place with varieties in dishes, if you want good sushi, good don, and good small bites all at the same time, this is the place. The Unadon (Japanese eel with rice) was a great surprise. I’ve tried other places for Unadon in Stockholm but every time was a disappointment. Soyokafe’s eel was super tender and juicy, it almost melted in my mouth, yet the textures of the skin and eel meat was still clear to be tasted. The Takoyaki (octopus balls) offered me different layers of textures, from the tuna flakes to the crispy surface, and from the creamy batter to the chewy octopus wrapped inside. Also it is so nice that I could order sushi by 2 pieces, the otoro and scallops that I had were both fresh and flavorful. I know there are other places in Stockholm that you can order sushi in 1 or 2 pieces as well, but with the combo of other dishes especially the Unadon, this place is such a delight. They also have a collection of sake.

Tried the Omakase experience (Chef’s choice) One of the most wholesome sushi experiences I’ve had outside Japan. All the produce is fresh and treated with utmost respect by the talented chef. You can tell by the buttery soft textures of chūtoro and ōtoro tuna as well as the slightly sweet but mild taste of the sea urchin. All the dishes were well thought out and balanced. The experience is cozy and intimate thanks to the knowledgeable staff who will gladly recommend you the pairing drinks with the dishes. I would definitely recommend choosing the Omakase experience when you visit this restaurant to get a taste of authentic Japanese food and try wonderful fresh seafood from the region and further away.

If you are looking for authentic Omakase restaurants in Stockholm, there are a few options for you. Among a few options, the dinner Omakase in Soyokafe is the only option when you make someone fall in love with Sushi. I have a lot of experience in Sushi restaurants include the Omakase style in Europe. Ingredients quality and acid balance in rice are the best of the best in the European countries except one Omakase in Germany, not only in Sweden. Pre-booking should be required. There are two options for the liquid pairings, Sake, and Wine. When you select the wine pairing, you will get the great taste of Kloster Eberbach, one of the best Riesling wines in Rheingau, Germany.

Relaxed atmosphere. The menu has big price range - but this is not a place I would like to order anything too expensive as rest of the place (atmosphere & service) is not living up to the money spent. The food was generally a disappointment. Dumpling skin was nice, but the filling of fish (texture of canned tuna) and vegetable dumpling (packed with broccolu) was horrible. The beef dumpling was good. I also realized that not all otoro (fatty tuna) was the same. The quality of the otoro I had here, and on sushi sho is VERY different. The otoro here is just fatty, but no flavour at all. Really not worth 90 SEK/piece. The takoyaki was the only good thing.

A mediocre sushi place that tries to be a high-end. What shocked me is they ain't even using sushi rice. The place is near the subway entrance and it's like a fast food restaurant (nothing like the google photos). We tried the 750SEK tasting menu and were totally disappointed. The food looked good, but tasted very plain and nothing was impressive. For the same price or a bit more, you can get an omakase experience elsewhere with quality fish and real sushi rice instead. If you really decide to go, at least try not to order anything expensive, won't be value for money.

We had lunch at Soyokafe and were pleasantly surprised with the exceptional quality and freshness of the seafood in the Chirashi. There were many gluten free items on the menu and they had gluten free soy sauce! I highly recommend having lunch here.

High quality sushi in a cozy setting. Came here for lunch and I went for the lunch set which includes 8 pieces of sushi, miso and karaage in order to try different things and I wasn’t disappointed. My friend ordered poke bowl which he liked as well. The only negative part is the portion sizes, it can be a bit big bigger. You might leave the lunch half hungry if you skipped the breakfast.

KFC-Korean fried chicken rice bowl. The rice was well prepared. But the fried chicken was terribly salty. Cabbage should be more generously supplied, this might help, especially since it's a weekdays lunch time. There are plenty lunch places for the same price around this area.

Really a gem, quality food at a good price point. The sushi is closer to what real sushi should be and that’s difficult to find in Sweden. The only restaurant in Stockholm I’ve found so far that serves Japanese style grilled eel, they use Swedish eel so it’s not quite like Japanese eel, but the quality and the flavour is still fantastic.

So delicious! We did the 750kr tasting menu and everything we had was fantastic. The owner also created us a sake pairing to go with the food too. Definitely recommend!

As a foodie, Soyokafe is By far the top 3 Japanese restaurants in all of Sweden! Quality of the fish and food is put together like artwork. We went on the weekend and sat at the bar for omakase “chef’s choice” which is what I highly recommend!! The selection is fish is unique and rare in Stockholm, not the typical boring salmon/yellowtail/tuna. The flavors are put together so well, they melt in your mouth like butter leaving you craving for more umami tasting pieces. We had the BEST service from the chef, Who is also the chef at Soyokaze. I am a big fan of this place after coming once and definitely will go back many more times!

Really tasty japanese food. Reccomend going here for a nice lunch as the portions are a little too small for a full dinner

Very cozy and unique izakaya seating style. One of the best takoyaki so far.

Absolutely terrific experience and some of the best Japanese food I've had outside of Japan. Service was really good and accommodating and our little son who is barely 2 years old could eat nearly everything. The Omagoro (fatty tuna) makes the regular tuna nigiri in mainstream restaurants (the few times you get it) to pale in comparison. I really look forward to try their Omakase experience. Nothing negative to comment. Maybe a bit pricy but it is really high quality and most ingredients are imported from Japan so come with heft customs into the EU. Can warmly recommend.

Pleasant experience! Ordering from the ordinary menu: get salmon skin, salmon belly and crab tempura. Perfectly served. Never wrong: negi toro.

We ordered sushi combo with 15 pieces (230kr). They are authentic Japanese sushi you can find in Japan! 😍 I especially like the salmon belly, SO SO GOOD!!! Also, they picked raw shrimp for us today. It is very uncommon to find it in Japanese restaurants in Sweden. We were really lucky! We will definitely come again! :)

Good food and a nice atmosphere on the side of a busy Stockholm street. This is more sushi-fusion than just sushi - not lots of choices if you're looking for lots of different types of sushi, but the chefs special sushi plate is very nice. Great lunch spot, the Korean fried chicken was very nice.

They do not have vegan options on the menu but are happy to help and give you nigiri or maki with tofu/vegetables. They so make their own beer, and it's really good!

Great sushi. Not fancy but really really good. If you're looking for a down to earth place to enjoy Sushi I recommend it
