Bunch of useless unprofessionals occupied the hospitals by sending you away even when you hold a legit recommendation from other doctor to emergency. Swedish government are encouraging all doctors to not spend resources on patients! Very disappointing service!

The emergency department is so difficult to find on foot or by car. There is almost no sign leading to the reception itself. Reconstruction is underway, which makes it even more difficult to find here. Once you have found the entrance, it is another challenge to find where to go to get to the emergency department. The only sign at the entrance leads out of the facility. Right sign is only placed at the elevator. It's such a shame that after so many years and high costs, no one has thought that someone suffering from eye problems and seeking an eye emergency needs clear and large signs to find their way here!

It took me 5 hours to see a doctor. You pay 400SEK for 5 min. MANY follow ups. Different doctor every time. Patient has no clue about their background. A loooong intro on the phone. You wait 3- 4 hrs for them to call back.

This is a comment for MedHelp: I called MedHelp on Sunday May 29th at 09:00 AM, after waiting for 10-15 minutes a nurse which was speaking English much better than I do answered the phone and told me that she cannot help me since she does not speak English good enough! She was rather rude and then hung up on me. I have experience speaking with people that don’t speak good English but at least they try to be helpful. This one took the rudeness to another level I had not experienced.

I went to the emergency room for my daughter. I was very disheartened when the doctor I saw didn’t seem to know how to examine a child, or what the illness was I thought she had - but needed to look it up on a medical wiki. How can he diagnose my daughter if I know more than he does about the symptoms? I went away without my concerns addressed.

I just had surgery here, and let me tell you, compared to the surgery I had in Miami Florida, this is on a different level!, I suffer from anxiety and was terrified of a panic attack during my surgery. I was put into a "pre surgery room" and was given sedatives and anti anxiety meds(with my anesthesiologist coming in to walk me through the meds so i wouldnt be scared of them) my nurse put anesthesia patches so the sting wouldnt hurt. Was with me the whole time. They even had an inflatable WARM blanket at the surgery room WHAT!!! Long sotry short, I fell asleep before i realized they put me to sleep 🤣😅😅😅 New Gold Standard for sure! Good job team!

Had a non-emergency operation here. It was very difficult to get information after it got postponed for six months due to Corona and I had to call four times on the day before to get accurate information. Luckily though when I arrived, everything went great. Nurses were friendly, the surgeon came to talk to me personally both before and after the operation, I received good aftercare information and was given painkillers and even coffee and bread when I woke up. Compared to my previous eye operation, I really felt respected and cared for. It would have been nice to have magazines or radio in the waiting area though, as sitting in silence for 45 minutes between putting on the gown and going to theatre was quite challenging!

Really good eye hospital. Doctors and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. I had a really bad eye infection and they sorted it out quickly.

I went today in akut, because something stuck in my left eyes. I want to say big thanks to the doctor, unfortunately I’m so stressed so forgot her name, but she was so professional, responsive. She understands the patient can be scary on this situation and can help with talk too, so that the patient is not focused on pain. Thanks so much

We had an emergency and went to the Ogonakut section at the opening hours (8am) and 30min later we were seen by a doctor The staff we encountered there(nurses, doctors) were all very helpful and understanding of the situation (an eye infection) and treated the patient with empathy (especially the cornea specialist Dr.) Also as foreigners it was a big plus that everyone we met spoke English very well For any EU citizens reading this: I recommend you get your EU blue card in case you need any medical services, we paid 10 times the normal amount than if we would have had this card with us

I would not recommend this hospital's ögonakut but would go to Sophiahemmet ögonklinik instead with whom I had a far better experience. Yesterday I rang their number where a nurse told me to come into the hospital to be seen from a doctor for an eye infection which has worse the last week. Moreover, all signs of chronic inflammation which warrant a visit to a doctor according to 1177's recommendation were there (i.e, longer than 5 days, consistent pus, redness, light-sensitive). When I arrived the hospital, they asked me to wait outside the general waiting room because I was potentially "infection" since I had a (dry) cold. I accepted despite their visibly being people with other flu-like symptoms having a ball in the waiting room (coughing, etc.). Then a nurse came out and told me to go home because according to the doctors, I had a viral infection that would go away by itself even though she couldn't say when. She gave me the same spiel, use saline solution with a cloth, dab 8 times a day which I had done already. It was as if this nurse wasn't listening to me. I had taken all precautions to improving my eye infection but was has been happening is I have developed a chronic inflammation and need appropriate medicine. I insisted to be seen by a doctor since it was her colleague on the phone who asked me to drive down to the hospital (25 min each way for the record). I refused to go home without being seen. The nurse invited me to wait outside the waiting room until called. I was abandoned there for 3 hours until the clinic closed at 4pm and had to go home to take care of my daughter. 0 treatment, long waiting times, poor nursing, bad communication, perhaps even spitefulness from the staff for insisting to be seen by a doctor.
