This takes you down into the bowels of the Palace. Displays of artifacts and history of the Palace along with things like the wood storage for suppling the numerous fireplaces used to keep the place warm

Lots of interesting information regarding the original structure at this site and past castles and palaces here. Interesting to go down and see the foundations of the building. Not sure if it is worth the entrance fee but if you have already purchased a Stockholm Pass then it is worthwhile to pop inside and wander around. Has a nice video exhibit of the history as well as lots of infographics and dioramas. Not baby buggy (not allowed inside) or handicap-friendly; lockers inside for storage of small personal belongings.

The Tre Kronor Museum is an insight into the amount of work that it takes to build, maintain, and in some instances rebuild what is directly on top, which is the Royal Palace. Every room has a story about it's purpose, the amount of people that worked there, and how they served a greater purpose upstairs. I believe you can't really know the complete story of the Royal Palace if you don't visit the Tre Kronor Museum as well.

Fascinating to learn about the history of the palace, the original walls and foundation. See the artifacts that were unearthed and discovered. Very informative and immersive.

History of the original castle/ palace in Stockholm, including one of the oldest areas of the palace. Also has some media showing the history of the site, shown on a short loop. This museum area also shows a few exhibits explaining the artifacts and areas dug up. Small gift shop area at the end.

The building was cool, but the items presented seemed kind of random.

The Museum Three Crowns is a museum in Stockholm that is devoted to the old Tre Kronor Palace. Using items that were saved from the fire and freshly made models, the museum illustrates the transformation of the Tre Kronor Palace from a defensive fort to a Renaissance palace. The northern wing of the palace, where the museum is situated, is also the part that survived the fire the best.

Nice museum of the oldest tower left after the fire of 1697. Nice vibes to walk in the real space of XV-XVII c. It used to be a food storage cellar in the first Royal Palace. Interesting short video about the development and end of the Three Crown Palace. But I expected to see more items there. I've bought a compound ticket for three museums + Royal exhibition (220kr). And all togerher it was worth it. So just keep in mind that to buy only one ticket for the Three Crown Museum for 170kr is not reasonable.

Not interesting and the treasury was very small. We got there more then half the museum was closed(nothing online saying it was closed) just leaving a small underground section

The website says it is still closed, but did have opening times listed. I checked it out: the sign by the door just says "closed" with no further info. Reviewed 13 Oct 2021.

The museum is very nice and offers detailed information about the past history of the country and the area where the Royal Palace is located. I definitely recommend you to visit.

Wasn’t suppose to come here but don’t regret at all.

A bit on the boring side, no audio guide like other bits of the royal palace, took me only 15mins

Very interesting to see all the tunnels! And see it underground’s! There is a place where you can leave your jacket, but I would not recommend to use it, because when you walk a certain way, you need to turn around to pick up your jacket again. So if you don’t mind really do that, otherwise just take it with you!

Off all the royal palace, royal armory and this museum, this is the best and worth visiting. Quite a good collection of well maintained artifacts. This also has miniature versions of the old palace. Explains how the fuel and wood was stored and maintained. Contains quite a good number of portraits, cutlery collection, furniture, clothes, bust images, carpets and military badges.
