The most profitable museum of my life is really cool madness. A lot of fun and pleasure, the man at the reception is super nice, plus I had a coffee, it was pretty good. But we are more gallant in France than in Quebec It was very windy so Marjo was super cold but it was okay There she's shaking a lot but we can't go into the church. Plus they make the church pay. You surprise me that they are atheists in this country.

This is a lovely museum, especially for the children. There are lots of stations to play and also a post office for the kids. The staff is very friendly. There are very nice souvenirs in the shop and the shopkeeper is very knowledgable and kind, and can tell you about the history of the post office and Stockholm.

Nice place. Was only in the store. They have now temporarily closed as a reinforcement of the house foundation is made. Opens later this fall.

I live close by and the post museum was a pleasant surprise for my family's two little monsters. They have a floor dedicated to small kids, where they can play, draw, craft and send letters straight from the arts and crafts room. That's not to say that the other floors aren't kids friendly though. They are and we always have a good time there. Sure, there is an entire room with the history of stamps if you are into that, but most of the floors are interactive exhibits on the history of the swedish postal office. It's interesting for adults while being fun for kids. An afternoon is all that's needed but it's worth the trip for small kids.

One of the lesser known museums in Stockholm is the Postal museum located in the old town. It is a nice story about the Swedish postal history, uniforms and stamps. It is inexpensive and you can easily spend two hours walking around the museum and there is a nice restaurant as well and a pretty good section for kids. A very nice speciality museum.

This was a fun little museum off the beaten path. A great way to learn and the history of post in Sweden (and somewhat the rest of the Nordic region). This is included in the Stockholm Pass and close enough to the Royal Palace to make a quick trip.

A very worth seeing museum. The history of the Swedish postal service can be traced. All stamps are on display. Some other stamps from other countries can also be viewed. For children there is an interactive area in the museum dedicated to the topic of writing. All in all, this museum is very interesting and recommended.

This place is a return to the past from the beginning of the time when a message was sent by walking or by horse. Pony express, trains till the modern ways to transmit a postcard. I saw the beautiful uniforms in the different epochs; it was all so engaging and emotional I immediately thought of the stories of my father, a retired postman, and my grandfather's life, a postman too. One of those who headed the museum told me about the building where once the old post office was. Thanks to him and to all those who work to make this museum truly extraordinary!

My kids (4,5 and 6) love the "pysselrum" located in the basement. They have an activity where you get to create you own post card, put a postage-stamp on it and then stamp the stamp with a stamp and then post it in a small post-box :) Great fun and my youngest wants to go every weekend. They also have a nice, family friendly restaurant.

Beautiful building with many interactive features for children. Kept a 3 and a 1-year old fairly entertained for 3 hours.

I love visiting the Postmuseum shop whenever I am in Stockholm. There is always a nice stamp selection, & staff was helpful in selecting stationary and paper goods by local artists. The postage stamp archive on the upper level of the museum is wonderful, I have visited there a couple times.

We visited kids museum area. It was fun for our 1y old kid, although its targeted at older kids. You can also send real postcards with season themes, there is a person helping kids to make them.

Quite interesting for people who are into philately with the right amount of postal history added. Fun sections are present for kids too and temporary exhibitions come up on interesting related topics. It is also a great place for younger people to learn about the incredible network behind the older "snailmail" and newer online orders. For stamp collectors, there is an extensive stamp library on all Swedish stamps and a cute museum shop to get collector's tools/stockbooks as well as stamps/subscriptions. Overall, a place that preserves valuable information about an era that revolutionised communication.

Excellent museum to visit with children. Accessible from its entrance, it is located in the heart of Stockholm's old town. Approximately to visit quietly between an hour and a half and two hours.

Friendly staff. we came to buy stamps from the gift store. They have 2016-2021 booklets that are 35$ each. A little too much surcharge
