They've got very slow delivery times right now because they are "improving the logistics system". We will see if anything changes to better I guess. The reality is that it might take weeks before the books are even posted to you, although they are in stock. When you cancel e.g. a part of your order, you do not receive any notification whatsoever. Oh well.

Apart from a generally slow delivery system, I have had few issues with Bokus. However…..my children bought my partner a Bokus gift voucher for Christmas 2020. She then ordered some books and at the checkout stage when she inserted the gift voucher details, the option of having free home delivery was not available. For 3-5 years, she’s had this option, using the non-member order system. So she phoned Bokus. “This shouldn’t happen - it’s not showing up as a fault here. Clear your history and the cache memory on your device and try again”, they said. She did. Same result. Another phone call. “Ok then, go ahead with your order, and we’ll refund you the fee for collecting at your local post-point (25 SEK)”. She did, somewhat reluctantly. The books arrived. She collected them. She received a refund link from Bokus. All good you’d think….now she must open an account (rather than be a non- member) to avail of the refund. My children assumed their gift could be spent on goods, not the convolutions of Bokus’s delivery debacle. This experience certainly leaves a bad taste in the mouth. If there was a reliable alternative we’d both take our business there.

I bought a book and paid more to have a fast delivery within 5 working days, as I did not receive the book, I complained, and this was the answer (note there is nothing clear in their webpage about what they claim) - fast delivery should mean "FAST DELIVERY"! "The shipping option that you choose during the checkout only affects the shipping time of your order, but unfortunately doesn't do anything to affect the handling time. The handling time for your order is displayed right above the gray box that you use to choose your shipping option during checkout."

Figured I'd buy from another store than Adlibris for once - that was a mistake. It's been 14 work days and I still don't have my order. Zero communication, zero updates. It's like a postorder company from 1995! Good thing I'm not in a rush to get this book, or I'd be in real trouble.

I don't know why they have such low reviews. I ordered a book, shipping was free and it arrived within the promised time. I did have an issue with the book, but it was not really their fault and they sent me a new one free of charge.

Don't recommend. Ordered books for a birthday gift in advance. No books after 2.5 weeks of waiting.

Was a first time buyer at Bokus. Ordered 3 books, delivery was postponed with 5 days, which means no Christmas presents to my family. The books arrived to a post office 60km away from my home… didn’t order that. On the return they charged me 149kr for not picking up the books, which I wanted to do but the post office was closed when I arrived due to different opening hours. The sender to wrong place and charged me for not picking up the books. All my experience with bokus is horrible. Will never buy here again. Make you business and polices better!

Worst experience. Digital book never worked. Literally threw money in the bin. Customer service had lots of excuses. Wish I had read reviews from others. Be careful with your money and spend it elsewhere

DO NOT BUY HERE. 9 days and no updates. Emailed and said books have not been sent out. No apologies whatsoever. Scam??

This company is a joke!! Super slow delivery! I buy online to get the books at my home. Not at the tobakaffär next to the book stor!

I bought an ebook as it said it was possible to download it to read it on other devices (for example my Sony eReader). Turns out it is impossible to download the book in a readable version, unless you want to read it on the computer through the Adobe Digital Edition software. Scam.

Could not cancel the order. Took 20 days to get the book even though I paid extra for fast delivery. They do not send any return note so you have to pay the shipment yourself if you want to return the product. If you are going to return the product you also need to buy stamps and find a specific representative to be able to do so. I will never order from Bokus again. Wish I could rate this company as 0/5 stars.
