Update Dec 2022: Back again for Julbord and it was a really good one. The lemon orange pickled herring was refreshing and triggered my appetite. This is still my favorite restaurant in Stockholm for Swedish cuisine. Been here 6 times already and it never failed me. All the dishes I had were very tasty, and this is my first recommendation to people who want to try Swedish food. Also the portions are pretty big, one main dish can be enough for one meal but I always take more because they are so good. I will continuously coming here at least every season to try out new dishes. Update Oct 2022: Just had their “wild week” menu and everything is amazing as always. The red deer and moose meats were so divinely made, preserved the umami of wildness, but removed the unpleasant odor of wild animals.

First time out at a Swedish restaurant in Stockholm, and had an amazing experience. Food came quickly, atmosphere was cozy, and the staff very courteous. Ordered traditional meatballs and potato purée as a main, rhubarb pie with vanilla custard as a desert. Both were very good. Definitely recommend!

The food was amazing! Great selection of options and a wide variety of choices for an authentic Swedish Christmas table dinner and dessert. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable as well.

The food is good and a traditional Swedish Xmas offering. We enjoyed all the parts and the Sill. The mix of food and the food itself was great and we all enjoyed it. However, considering that's it is basically a buffet and super busy the price is quite steep at 990kr a head.

An absolute classic at beautiful Djurgården that offers a refreshingly different experience each season. 🇸🇪 The whole food and experience is very classic and modern Swedish. On the menu you can find options like Beef Rydberg, various sill (herring), fish and even meatballs. There are also seasonal dishes and dishes as specific Swedish holidays. If you want to try out, a good menu could be to order the Sill & Strömming bricka for starters, then try a classic meat or fish dish, not to forget the starter schnapps and why not finish with a Swedish Punsch? So many restaurants have given up the great Punsch tradition, but at least here you can get it - although would have been nicer to get a Grönstedts Blå than the most usual brand, but can't ask for everything :) Food is overall well made, don't expect too many modernities - but there are a few such as curry herring and varieties on the drinks menu. Service is good too, staff are polite and friendly, venue has always been in good shape when I been there over the years. May the tradition of Ulla Winbladh continue for future generations of locals and visitors!

Wir hatten lange nach einem Restaurant mit schwedischer Küche gesucht, aber überall nur Massenabfertigung und ungemütlich. Dann fanden wir zufällig dieses Lokal und waren total begeistert. Hier stimmte einfach alles. Top Service und Top Essen! Alles sehr angenehm. Kaum Touristen. Absolut top!

Unfortunately every dish on the menu I had was sub par, was with a group and the servers did not introduce dishes, nor ask for feedback. They even managed to make the chocolate mareng dessert bland and disappointing.

Located in the middle of the park ❤️ The food was nice, we especially loved the salmon dish. But what we took out of this place was the staff service. They were very polite and considered. They also gave us such a warm welcome and help. We went day on the first day of our Stockholm trip, truly a good start ❤️

Great service and food. A classic Swedish restaurant with good atmosphere and the service. The staff there are very friendly and nice. The service is really good and they give good advice. The restaurant is child friendly. They have painting paper, crayons and toys so that kids could play. The food is tasty especially beef. We ordered meatballs, beef steak and fish. All of them are nice but I especially like beef. They have wide range of drinks and desert. You could probably fine the most classic Swedish options there! Highly recommend if you want to experience the typical Swedish service, interior and food.

Delicious mashed potatoes, the best I and my daughter ever had. Home cooking feel, it would have been 5 star if it wasnt so salty. But it depends on your taste, if you like it salty this is your place. Service was over expectations.

This restaurant is well established and seemingly very popular - unfortunately it was very poor for a number of important reasons. 1. The restaurant was cold - not heated up sufficiently and therefore very uncomfortable. 2. Most items on the buffet were cold (which is ok) but in combination with the cold ambiance, this led to a very unsatisfactory atmosphere and experience. 3. The 'hot' food was lukewarm at best and tasteless. The brussel sprouts in a cheese sauce were undercooked and inedible. There was a lack of choice in the hot food section. 4. The same serving spoon was being used by every customer which is extremely unhygienic. Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience and I couldn't recommend it at all. Very poor.

We really enjoyed our visit to this restaurant. I had limited expectations as the place seemed a bit too posh or touristy to me. In the end, it was a great meal and we left the place very happy. I fully recommend to visit this restaurant. The best food we had during our visit in Stockholm. Service was good. Even though one waiter seemed in a bad mood or very tired, all others were very nice to us. The highlight was the food. We had traditional meatballs and the rhubarb desert. Both were excellent. And prices were OK for Stockholm. Also, first time we visited a place with alcohol-free beer on tap.

We had an excellent experience at the restaurant for julbord. The service was exceptional and the options for meat eaters and vegans was top notch. The environment was really nice.

Only visited the restaurant. They managed to fit us in for lunch on a Friday afternoon. Out of 4 places where we tried meatballs, this was by far the best one. Definitely recommended.

We had a delicious traditional Swedish dinner here after visiting Vasa museum. It was our last day and we had some cash Kronor with us to spend before leaving. They kindly accepted our half cash half card payment. Comfortable chairs, friendly staff, highly recommended for a quiet and peaceful dinner after museum visits. We walked in but it may be better to book in advance if you are visiting on a crowded season.

Really good Swedish food. If you have a visit in Stockholm and you want them to try proper Swedish food….this is your place. The meatballs/ the fish and sill are spectacular. Definitely a place to go as many time as you can. You have and amazing many museums around and the zoo as well. Her some pics of the food:

We had a short stay in Stockholm and went to see the Vasa ship. Afterwards we went to this restaurant that surprised us with a very eloquent and hilarious waiter that was very dedicated and helpful. The food was classic and very tasty. I had the vegan meatballs that were really tasty. On our way back we have a stop again in Stockholm and already reserved our table for another exquisite stay.

Excellent food and wonderful service! The ’julbord’ was absolute delight. The variety and quality of the dishes were top-notch, and the kitchen managed to get the balance between traditional and creative just right. The vegan option is a huge plus! will be back again that’s for sure.

Been there 5 times and both the food and service was always excellent. I tend to think they have the meat balls in town. During summers you can sit outside. The interior is classy. Great experience and I always look forward to coming back.

We went there to have lunch at the restaurant. Absolutely spectacular food! Great staff! Kid friendly with some drawing and painting options to distract the little ones while they wait for the food. Super cozy place!

Tourist trap not worth the price. Due to a sudden and heavy downpour of rain my wife pulled me into this place against my wishes as my last visit some 5 years ago was abysmal. I was yet again disappointed. This venue (and the one across the street) was for a long time a staple in Stockholm for decent dining but sadly over the past many years due to a lack of proper chef ownership it has turned into an overpriced tourist trap. I had the fish stew and it was bland and lacked flavor. In fact i've this summer had about 5 seafood stew / soups in and around Stockholm and it's archipelago and the one I hade at this establishment was by far the worst. If it wasn't for the decent appetizer I would have given it one star.

One pays for high quality here. It‘s definitely pricy, however, totally worth it as the food is simply delicious. We were all very satisfied, also with the very friendly service. Therefore had a very successful and lovely afternoon here ☺️

Beautiful garden dining in the Djurgarden area of Stockholm, near Skansen and museums. Delicious takes on Swedish classics, attentive service, and a chance to linger over lovely cocktails made the best of a rainy afternoon!

The spacious patio carries a lovely, relaxed ambiance which perfectly complements the truly delicious food. The service from walking in to the course of the meal was warm, welcoming, and perfectly timed. Bravo!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Stockholm. It's a great dining experience. The location is pretty. The food is very well prepared and the staff both knowledgeable and friendly. All this for quite reasonable prices. If you want a lovely meal in beautiful surroundings, this is the place. Bon appetit.

Great location, food and service. Prices are ok for Stockholm and the location and food are worth to visit this place! Highly recommend it. :-)

Amazing food and service, such an amazing experience during my visit to Stockholm. I had a whiskey sour, cheddar tart and meatballs - all were perfection! On the pricier side but it is well worth it. The setting amongst the gardens is gorgeous.

We finally got to this restaurant which is mentioned in several guides as a place with the best Swedish meatballs. Overall, we won’t come back there even though the meatballs were delicious. The service failed so much!!! We were waiting for 40 minutes to place our orders and then another 1 hour to get our meals(!). Let me mention that it was not a crowded day. The behaviour of waiter was below expectations. He even answered to my colleague in a rude way. Last but not least, one of our colleagues ordered different meal than meatballs because he is vegan. He asked to replace one ingredient to the vegan one, when the food arrived he has noticed some other white sauce on the plate and just to be sure, he checked if the waiter made sure so the entire meal is vegan . It turned out not to be. So another 15 minutes waiting to replace the food.

Great location of course. But nothing outstanding unless you're interested in their multi course meal Swedish traditional Christmas dinner. Not enough vegetarian exciting options to choose from.. Located right next to Nordiska museum, a short walk from the Tram station..

This restaurant was recommended to us by a Swedish restaurant owner back home in the United States. So glad we came! Food was delicious and drinks were tasty. Service was a little slow but it didn't really bother us.

Delicious traditional Swedish food with a bit of flare. Recommended by a Swedish friend and truly worth the coat. Our waiter was phenomenal and treated us to a variety of tastes. We enjoyed a leisurely 3-hour dinner.

Nice service and great Christmas ambience. Hard to say it is worth of its price though. Have had better Christmas food and desert was so so. We paid 895 for each person only for julbord which was fine since we knew it earlier. It felt like we were robbed after we pay 84 SEK for a regular black coffee. I don’t think we will go back again.

Great place with fantastic Swedish style food Order the meatballs - they are not like IKEA The fish casserole is like a very full bowl of soup with large pieces of Cod and Salmon. We had the Shrimp on toast started which was just the right amount to prepare for dinner. The Raspberry desert was wonderful. And they have an excellent wine list.

Julbord, Swedish Christmas dinner with extra of everything. And the Christmas feeling hits you when you step in and it is so nice and beautiful in there. I recommend that you eat as they suggested, 7 plates so you don’t mix everything. You need so many times to see choose and taste because you don’t want to miss anything. You order what you want to drink from the menu. There is also a vegetarian and vegan buffe as well. The staff were helpful and nice. Can recommend this.

Great food, great location. Our waitress was Eva, kind and skilled, could immediately answer all our questions and provided alternative - and tasty - receipe modifications immediately for food intolerance. Waiting time was average, 45 mins. The only reason for 1 star deduction is for seating. Guests waiting for seating are overlooked/ignored, we have waited 15 mins and were the first ones in the queue. Then the seating man made us feel like we shall be thankful that he provides a seat for someone having no reservation - although there were plenty of tables free.

4 stars. Had a really nice lunch here in a very relaxed Swedish setting. Couple of minutes walk from the Nordic and Vasa museums. Entree of reindeer was nice. Mains of meatballs with world's best mashed potatoes and the fish. All the food was great. About 800 sek for 2 with a few drinks. Glad we went.

One of my three favorite restaurants in Stockholm. Been a patron for over 20 years, a must place to eat at least once during our stays in Stockholm. The menu is varied with traditional Swedish dishes, seasonal menus and chefs occasionally get creative with modern takes on Scandinavian classic dishes that are truly upgrades to already fantastic dishes. The steak, which is marinated to perfection, is one of my favorites in the world(I’ve had steak in a lot places in 27 different countries). You can’t miss with the Swedish meatballs, purée potatoes and fresh lingonberries with pickled cucumber. A seasonal version is made with reindeer, a favorite protein of the Swedes, sorry Rudolph, and is a must try.

The waiter was friendly. We have red deer carpaccio which was nice but salty taste for some people. The meatballs has pork so we couldn't try it 😑 (i want to take out 1 ⭐ for that). So instead had the chops of veal which was tasty. The seating outside is nice with the view on a park/trees.

We can warmly recommend Ulla Winblad. Good service, friendly staff and very good food. We celebrated a birthday 17-7-22 and ate Poached cod with shrimps, egg, horseradish, lemon and browned butter. For dessert we ate Milk chocolate mousse with caramel, small cookie and whipped cream. Very good food at a reasonable price. 👌
