Very interesting place with unique exhibitions. Expect to spend at least 2 hours in there since you would most likely get lost in the fascinating and intriguing photos. The gift shop is also filled with interesting and fashionable memorabilia. However, it is a bit difficult to get there since there seems to be construction going on nearby so it is slightly inaccessible compared to the other museums. However, it is definitely worth visiting, especially at night since there are sometimes events going on. Crowds usually start to build up after lunch so if you want some time alone in the museum, it would be good to go early in the morning.

For god's love don't go there. It is a low effort museum, under 100 articles. For the hip hop exposition there is no famous photo, they don't have the copyright for them. The other ones are not better. They have some no names making modern art, very modern like this year. They have no value and are pretty expensive tho 50 euros for nothing. Reply for the owner: Who?

Absolutely amazing! The museum was filled with great photographs and had 2 floors so it wasn’t overwhelming to see everything. The exhibitions were very well organized. The museum also had an entrance floor lunch area with a very nice scenic view as well as a roof floor. Loved the building and the atmosphere of the interior as well as the view. Definitely worth a visit. The shop was also amazing with so many books and posters to buy.

The photos exhibitions are amazing. The experience on the restaurant was interesting but isn't breathtaking or amazingly good. The good side was the wine menu that has the perfect combination with the served dishes. Beside that is just overpriced food.

Love to spend time at this place, either just to stroll and allow myself to get lost in random images, or to focus on fully taking in exhibitions. End the visit with food in the bistro or restaurant. A great place for family, friends, a date or a business lunch/dinner.

Our experience was a bit average. I guess the experience hugely depends on the collection at the time of visit. I was expecting a lot more from a photography museum than just the showcase of the work of some really big and celebrated photographers. For me, most of the work lacked either story or imagination but again, maybe we visited at the wrong time.

Lovely building but hard to get to because there are major roadworks at the main tube station and limited to no signage to guide you. Other than that the exihibitions are interesting but nothing amazing either. Restaurant is very nice with an overview on the bay and delicious food.

The exhibition is great, a lot of amazing pictures by various artists from all around the world. It was not too crowded when we visited so we were able to admire the pieces. They also have some temporary exhibition, and by the time we visited it was one about the HipHop Culture.

The most impressive museum I have ever been to (and I am not a big fan of museums): lighting, interior, atmosphere, art - everything. There's photography, light-art, video art and all of it is in it's finest form. There's a restaurant at the final floor and it's hipster. (Even toilets have towels instead of paper towels!) The waiters will sit you, offer you to taste wine before they poor more, bring you a piece of bread... A high-class restaurant. The menu is small but great, as it should be. Small portions yet unexpected flavours. Zara Larsson approves this restaurant too. It's more than a museum, it's an experience.

Astonishing experience at Fotografiska. We took the guided tour with Karim and it was worth every minute - he took us to the depth of each exhibition making our visit so much richer and different. Beautiful & unique building, with a gorgeous restaurant at the top. A must try in Stockholm.

Loved it, exhibitions were great and the food was lovely in the huge cafe upstairs. Fab views of the city. Travelled via the electric boat which took 10-15 minutes. Worth noting you can stay on the boat back and forth having a beverage before getting off if you fancy it for the price of a single ticket.

Half of the exhibitions were interesting and worth a visit, but it was way overpriced. Visit only if the money is a non issue, or if you absolutely love photography. Definitely not for a general public.

Beautiful museum with multiple different expositions. Not just a feast for your eyes but also a trigger for your mind. We really enjoyed it and spent hours inside. Top floor has a nice restaurant with extraordinary views over the river and Stockholm.

Sweden 🇸🇪 Stockholm - attractions Loved my quick visit inside Fotografiska earlier this month. They had a great collection of souvenirs, tokens, literature, and relevant art from the hip hop exhibit. There were many great tributes for the musical & cultural genre across the related eras.

If you love photography it's a place to visit in Stockholm. It is a food for your soul if you are an artist. Have fun! Oh, by the way, after you got food for your soul I woul also recommend to get food for your body on the top floor in their restaurant-really great food!

One of the renowned photography museums in the port/Södermalm area of Stockholm. The museum was currently exhibiting 4 exhibitions which we took roughly an hour to go through. I really enjoyed the Pet Show exhibition. Make sure to check out the photo booth on Level 1. The museum also houses a Michelin star restaurant - unfortunately did not have a chance to experience it this time.

A nice experience and a very nice exhibition with several artists. You need atleast 2-3 hours to see all the exhibition. About 7 minute walk from Slussen. They have exhibitions with different artists at different times. Definitely recommend buying the annual pass if you live in Stockholm.

One of my favourite museums in Stockholm for sure, especially for photography enthusiasts like myself. The exhibits changes through the year, making the museum an attraction to visit multiple times a year. They also boast to have a great cafe and restaurant which I cannot comment much for I have yet to judge them for myself. Soon, maybe?

Great place to visit in Stockholm! The space is original and the photo exhibitions are very well selected and arranged artfully. A lot of really nice touches. Nice bar outside and don’t miss the top floor cafe with a spectacular city view. Great place just to hang out and people watch after the show. You can go by a boat taxi for a reasonable price. Worth it!

Went there last year and caught the Terry O'Neill and Andy Warhol exhibits. It is a museum for photo lovers and a must go if you like these types of exhibits. Was in there for around 2 hours just to be able to see each and every picture and was worthwhile.

It is quite far from public transportation so beware to walk about 1.5-2km in a cold breeze along the way. The museum itself is very nice. Good exhibition. Good museum shop.

Generally has some great exhibitions on. Current one being the 50 years of Hip Hop which has some great photos/images from start of the Hip Hop era all the way through. Check out the cafe on top floor for lovely vista over waters and view of city. Easiest to just walk there from subway.

Interesting presentation of photography. The ground floor presentation and music was a great, perfect lighting for photography. I loved the classic photography on the higher levels. The cafeteria is very good. Nice desserts and good quality coffee.

We are from France and we went to this museum with my husband during our vacation in Stockholm. We thought it would have nice photos with landscapes and portraits because the museum has a good publicity on internet and in the city. But actually pictures were worst one to another, we were so sad to have paid 340 sek (34€) to see so unpleasant and sometimes even really dirty and dark pictures :'( !! Excepted a small exhibition with universe pictures and a few other photos, almost nothing was nice, no landscapes, no beautiful pictures of people and things we can see around the world, we would have traveled more in the photography world if we would have see photos on instagram, it is absolutely sure. :'( The museum is not only expensive but also very small, 17€ per person to see 4 short exhibitions. We were very sad to have been here and felt like if we had been stolen of our time and money. :'( Maybe the covid situation didn't help the museum to be good, but to be honest I would really not recommend this museum and will probably never come back again because I don't want to be stolen again.

It's a great place with small hidden gems. In the top floor is a cafe and pizzeria. A little pricey and not the greatest taste but also by far not a bad pizza overall. The windows are clean and huge and gives you a perfect view on the Stockholm harbor. I'd consider this a secret spot not many people know about.

Fotografiska is the best art gallery in Stockholm. It's not cheap to visit, but the exhibitions and artists are always way above par, everything is impeccably curated, the building is outstanding and the location is spectacular. The views from the top-floor restaurant are unbeatable. Highly recommend.

Great experience, ground floor is well built by decade and the set up makes time flying, very entertaining! The temporary exhibition was original and quite interesting. Big plus for being open late in the evening giving a chance to visit after working hours. However we couldn’t find any info on opening hours of the restaurant despite we heard from friends the food is very good, but we didn’t get the chance to try it ourselves as it looked being closed at 9.30pm.

As a fan of photography, art and history it's the place to visit! While expositions are photography focused I think there's something for everyone. There is a restaurant and a quick bar area you can visit after, not cheap, so I skipped that. You can also buy some gifts and other items near the entrance on the first floor. The ticket was prices about 22 euros for adults.

Carefully curated and explained selection of photos detailing major world events from the past century, well worth the price of the tickets. The Fotografiska Restaurant is also deserving of its great reputation, with excellent service, waterfront views and food! Simply put, an essential stop for anyone visiting Stockholm!

If you’re into contemporary photography and art in visual forms, it’s probably the best place aroud town! Very carefully curated & well-explained selection of photos highlighting major events from the past century, alongside non-perm exhibitions! I’d say it’s a must-stop when visiting Stockholm!

Coming here wasn’t a part of my plan, as I just decided to go there while waiting for a ferry and it was REALLY worth it. I have been in many photo museums in Europe, but I’ve got a feeling that that one is simply the final boss of them. On the top there was also a restaurant which I didn’t visit, but the barista up there made me brilliant coffee, served with delicious cinnamon bun.

I liked that the whole place really tries to create an "experience" that you can immerse yourself into. The amount of artworks was not super large but it was well curated and not overwhelming. I also loved their gift/book store, there were too many things I wanted to buy 😆

Excellent museum if you like this kind of art. A bit difficult to reach due to construction works around, still worth the visit. Working time is great for Stocholm and you can easily plan your visit. A restaurant on the top is offeringn great views and you can eat or just have a cofee. There is elevator in the musem too.

Honestly, I was so pleasantly surprised by this place. I was expecting a little photography museum that we might kill an hour at, just to say we did something other than eat and drink our way through Europe. But this was more like an immersive gallery! The exhibitions were beautiful, at times moving and unsettling, but in the way art is meant to be. And the restaurant on the top floor had the BEST views of the Stockholm bay and some really excellent food. I loved that their bread was baked fresh every day with spent brewer's grain and that all the veggies were grown in a hydroponic garden in the basement, that you could even go take a look at. I don't know what was in their salad dressing but my husband and I could not stop eating it. They also had the best non-alcoholic wine I've ever had there. All in all, 12/10 experience here. Great spot to experience some culture and enjoy a wonderful meal with a stunning view.

A thought provoking, immersive experience. Well presented throughout with some interesting exhibitions. Also very well located for excellent views across Stockholm with a fantastic restaurant bar on the top floor with excellent windows, although seats by the windows are reserved for guests buying meals. I would consider this less a museum and more of a gallery, if you are looking for a museum of photography this is not the place, but rather a lovely art museum of photography.

The museum was really nice but the aggressive sales in the restaurant and at the entrance, make it feel like a tourist trap. Management is not doing well by pushing this type of behaviours on their serving staff. The kitchen staff however does an amazing job! The food was good and the view from the window in the restaurant is also beautiful. I did appreciate the exposition! Jaw dropping!

Great little museum. They have a great exhibit going on right now. Erik Johannson...really cool photos put together in such a creative way. I like the movie they have showing how he does it.

(Translated by Google) Maybe I am not able to appreciate the virtues of the object, maybe I was unlucky because I found interesting exhibitions. I am skipping the fact that to get "from the top" you have to make up about 2-3 km, because road construction is underway, but there are no boards: how to get there, none (they are only at the bottom). Photos are boring, they use signatures but not the message. A dozen people snobbly contemplate these pseudo-artistic visions with glasses in hand. For me it's a waste of time. But it's worth the toilets at the very top. They are the most interesting.

You can think that photography museum could be not interesting but when you visit Fotografiska you will admit that you was wrong. Here we see many interesting exhibitions, which encourage us to think about the world - this real one and this created by artists imagination. And there is awesome view from the restaurant ❤️

The museum is quite interesting. Depending on the exhibitions of course. We are lucky, there was something for us. The restaurant upstairs has a great view but the food was questionable. The attempt to make a ramen was a big miss. Even the pizza was terrible.

This is a must do spot in Stockholm. I have been here twice to see the exhibits, and to enjoy a glass of wine and another time for brunch. Both times were excellent and one of my favourite memories of visiting the city. Photography exhibits are always a wide range of styles so that there’s something for everyone. Fotografiska is a relaxing spot in the city.

A very special museum. For me was also a chance to see more technics of photography. I was also impressed about the corridor in front of toilettes, the restaurant as well and the stapeled chairs in the floor.

Lovely, well thought out exhibitions. Good accessibility. No place to just grab a water or a coffee, though - the bistro informed me that they "don't do that".

A few floors with different themes. Not all are that interesting. In Summer of 2022 it was pretty complicated to get there because of the construction site nearby. A great café with a great view. Tickets could be cheaper.

Unfriendly staff. Wouldn't let us sit at the bar window because we didn't want dinner but only drinks. Ridiculous policy since drinks are more expensive than food anyway. And at least the seats remained empty. Nice vibe overall

The exhibitions were great and very on point. The selected photographers and their pieces were amazing, the amount of information given was perfect. People visiting can be a bit posh about clothing/looks and thus rude. The staff is not like that at all. Will return when visiting Stockholm again :)

😠 Had heard good things about the place but was sadly disappointed. Waited 15 min for a menu and then 35 min for the food. I ordered the bearnaise 150g steak but as you can see that was never 150g, ridiculously small. Also the warmth was lacking. My company had the chicken burger and it was nearly col...
