Every
year
from
June
to
August,
the
environmental
administration
monitors
the
water
quality
at
the

official
beach
bathing. The
environmental
administration
takes
samples
for
bacteria
on
behalf
of
the
city
districts. The
samples
show
the
presence
of
certain
intestinal
bacteria
(E.coli
and
intestinal
enterococci).
The
inspector
also
measures
the
temperature
of
the
water
and
checks
the
presence
of
waste
and
other
things
that
can
affect
the
bathing
water
quality. Sampling
takes
place
in
the
same
way
throughout
the
EU.
The
samples
are
taken
at
one
or
two
fixed
points
at
each
bath,
for

at

far
end
of
the
jetty
and
at
the
shallow
part
of
the
