Slussen is an area of central Stockholm, on the Söderström river connecting Södermalm and Gamla stan. The area is named after the locks between Lake Mälaren and the Baltic Sea. Called Karl Johanslussen, the locks themselves allow passage between these two bodies of water of different levels.

Nice part of Stockholm, but currently marked by extensive construction activity, so we didn't enjoy it much.

Nice water & bridge views. Looks best from afar. There's just too much road work & construction going on, which made the area noisey all day & deters visitors from enjoying the area.

Very beautiful place.. nice view of the slussen part of the city…ferry available…very crowded usually and happening place during evening and weekends.. superb area for walks and hanging out with your friends…have a nice time guys…cheers

Slussen is well known historical place and also it has metro and bus station to around everywhere in the city. I personally got newly fimiliar with the place and i would say its really good place.

Slussen is currently a very messy building site and will be for few more years. I suggest picking up the pace when you walk through it, good for the heart and you will spend less time looking at it.
