👍 Kind of nice museum It can be interesting for kids but if you want interactions, there isn't any! And the atmosphere of some rooms is kind of scary for little kids. But for grownups is nostalgic and interesting. People often mention toys, museum, kids, play, visit, great, collection, nice, interesting, time,

I waited a long time to visit this place. There were always other places on the list somewhere earlier. I don't have kids so there was no pressure. On the spot, it turned out that my inner child showed itself and I had a great time. Since the toy collection is in a cave, the temperature inside is pleasant. Particularly comfortable temperature on hot days. The visit shouldn't take you more than two hours. Have fun.

All located in the cave so great to visit during the hot days as it is quite cool there. There are free lockers available to use, toliets and a cafe. Unfortunately there was very little that kids can play with or even touch it. I get it is a museum but there ate other ones that are a lot more interactive. A bit shame on that. 1h is enough to see all even when having a slow pace. Nice touch they give a challenge to find some toys on exhibition which is a bit entertaining.

Really nice cute toy museum. If you were born last century, you would definitely enjoy. They organized well the play area got the children, coffee shop for the parents 😀. You can have a birthday 🎂 party in a designated area . Very good service and very affordable. Highly recommend.

Since we bought the Stockholm city pass and had a time slot to cover, we spontaneously decided to head there, since it was close to other attractions. Best decision ever! We didn’t expect anything and were surprised that this museum actually was pretty amazing. It’s located in a cave, which creates a great atmosphere and it was pretty interactive, for they had monitors which had riddles to solve and plenty of other things to discover. If you’re in Stockholm, it’s definitely worth a visit!

If you want your kids to have fun, this is not the place to go (except for the ones which love to watch hours on something they can’t touch or play with). The only thing my kids liked was the rolling ball path but it was not worth the money.

Attended a birthday party here. The staff was super helpful and the kids really seemed to enjoy it. It was bigger than I expected as well. At the end of the museum the was a play area for the kids, with a cafe on the other side. Seemed great for letting the kids goof off and play around while parents can sit just outside the play area and enjoy a coffee or a snack.

Not so interactive. Good collection of toys. My 3 year old likes the park area near the cafe more than the museum. Okay to visit once .

Quite surprisingly, this museum isn't very kid friendly, as in, there won't be many interactive things to play with or do in Stockholm Toy Museum. There's a collection of toys displayed behind glass and it serves more as a tease than entertainment for kids. A small play area is available near the cafe. It gets quite claustrophobic during rush times. I wouldn't recommend going with kids, there are better options for the same price or less.

Pretty fun place to visit. Lots of toys from Sweden's past and a variety of comics on display. The location used to be a military bunker as well. I'm just posting a few pics as it's worth the time to check out the various exhibits.

Really nice museum filled with memories from the past. Easy to get nostalgic over childhood toys. I think grownups appreciate it the most.

I brought my nephew here and he is 5,although he not yet has full grasp of toys, comics and history,he envoyed it alot, even fun when you know the history of toys,Iam born in the seventies so much if this were the toys I played with, some interactive displays ,might have to come back and enjoy it all in detail as he didn’t let me also small not too expensive cafe and playable toys ,the Tin Tin collection was the most impressive

140 kronor for each parent is a bit too much, but exhibitions are pretty nice:) my active 2,5 girl spent there 15 minutes full of fun

What a surprise ! This museum is a a great surprise for the kids and parents. It is very détails into a lot of game types. The scenography is incredible. To top it all its is hosting in an old military bunker so the place is strangely odd in a positive way.

Its a nice museum. The parking in the area was expansive. The museums entrance is amazing in itself. There is place for hanging jackets and you can borrow a free lock to lock a cabin. It will take an hour or so, to walkthrough the museum and look and thousands of toys from history. There is a small playing area at the end and parents can enjoy some snacks while kids still playing.

It is a really great exhibition with a funny playing corner for children and a good restaurant. It's a pity that the playing machines were out of order.

Wow!

Oh my God! We got stuck in Toy Museum till the closing time. There are around 40000 toys starting from 1800s. Definitely recommend!!! Impressive history learning through the toys.

Super! Small, cheap but very interesting museum! Worthy to go if you have your little child inside interested in games and toys!

Fun place to visit for both children and adults. I was a bit bored at the beginning, however as I warmed up I didn't want to leave! There are explanations in different languages and lots of toys :-) Comics have been less interesting for me as the first half was in Swedish and later in English as well. However to go through the whole comics exhibition is truly something wonderful. And there are places for children to play with toys in different places in the museum. Yep, forward to the childhood and the central part toys play in it. I had less than 2 hours and it wasn't enough. 2-3 hours at least for maximum fun.

It’s a cool little toy museum based upon the history of Stockholm and the king I believe. It takes about 10 to 20 minutes to see everything other than that I don’t know if it’s worth going to this part of the island

my 2.5 years old child seemed to be bored the whole time - I guess mainly because all toys are only display. cafe is beyond simple. was expecting some local toys from the shop but apparently they only have mainstream toys e.g Ty. paid SK145 for myself and I didn’t manage to enjoy at all (when my daughter is so bored).

A lot to look at and an interesting journey through times of toys. Also for adults. Grown-ups can possibly find toys they had as a child. And there is a car sawed in half, which is nice.

Fantastic collection, I visited the museeum on the Stockholm Kulturnatt 2022, the staff was very kind and helpful. The collection of toys, comics and experienses was over the expectation! I recommend thisbplace for those who want to show their children hown toys where made ahoundred years ago or an adult who want to re experience some popular childhood toys. The 91 Karlsson comics was really cool!

Great place to show kids how toys have evolved over time. One also goes back in time when we used to play with some toys đŸ€Ł

I've never seen such a huge collection of toys! Especially set up in the strangest of ways. The most entertaining experience I didn't even expect from a museum. I enjoyed the whole way even though I was confused and perplexed by many exhibits. Definitely a place to check out and not expensive at all!

It's a great place if you are found of old school toys or comic books. The staff is really friendly and knows a lot about the subject. And the end of trip there is also a small bar / cafetaria where you can have quick drink or snack.

I'd walked past this place a couple of times without realising it was there. Its entrance is almost hidden and does not do justice to the size of the museum that lies behind it! The museum is a beautifully thought out journey through the history of toys. Whilst it obviously has a Scandinavian feel, many of the toys have a worldwide appeal. The imaginative displays lead you through exhibits from toys to comic books and finally a restaurant and shop. A great place to spend an hour, really liked it and was a total surprise too. Definitely will return.
