Cashiers and waiters are nice and will answer any question you may have. The restaurant is a quiet place with nice lighting. Not cheap but quite fairly priced given the location. A good option if you want to take a break from the exhibition and try some traditional köttbullar.

My purse was stolen while we were eating at the restaurant. It contained my phone, passports and credit cards. We did not see anything but the purse was on the side of my chair. Nobody at the restaurant seem very keen to help and they said it happened before especially during summer. There is no camera and the security of the museum did not do much either. The ship itself is an incredible sight, I recommend watching the short 17 minute video about the salvage before you do anything else as it gives some context as to what you are looking at and the incredible lengths it took to get it out of the water and the restoration.

I had some traditional Swedish meatballs. They were very good. It was a bit more expensive than I expected, but worth it.

We ordered the chicken with carrots and the herring with mashed potatoes. The food we got was just alright-- not terrible, but not great, either. The chicken was a little dry on the inside and didnt have much flavor. The herring tasted fine, but the potatoes were lacking some flavor. The prices are slightly marked up which is to be expected from a museum restaurant (around 100 SEK to 180 SEK for the things on the hot item menu). The atmosphere isnt bad thanks to the huge windows, so you get a lot of natural light and it isnt too loud. Seeing as this place has such good reviews, maybe we just chose our dishes poorly because we weren't impressed in the slightest!
