We were so amused with this little and cute statue! You might think about skipping it, but it's definitely worth a visit. It's a relatively short walk from the Nobel Museum, easily missed since it's a bit hidden in a small street and inside a small yard. Each time you might see something different, as people leave presents and coins for the Iron Boy, but also cover him with tiny hats and scarves during winter. Go take a look and you'll surely smile :)

He was much smaller than my expectation! When you go to Gamla Stan, there is must-see place. You spend just few minutes to meet him. He is in hidden place where it is little bit difficult to find. Please refer my pictures to go there.

A cute little statue that is easily missed. It is said that if you drop a coin or piece of candy and rub his head, you will get some good luck coming your way =) It is the smallest public statue in stockholm so be prepared. It is one of the quirky things to see in Gamlastan and not something that you would travel out of your way to see. Sometimes (especially in the winter) you will see a small scarf or a hat on the statue.

Such a cute little sculpture and in such a hidden quiet spot. Perfect for a break during your old town explorations. We are so used to public art being on a bigger scale, so this was sweet and lovely.

Tiny sculpture that will make you smile. You can find it in a quiet place where you can sit for some rest. It can be easily missed since it's a bit hidden. People take care of the Iron Boy, covering him with tiny hats and scarves during winter. Tourists leave presents and coins for good luck. Definitely recommended 👌

This is a pretty cool place to stop while in Gamla Stan. It's the smallest public statue in Stockholm. It translates to "little boy who looks at the moon". It's only 15 centimeters, so it's definitely really tiny. It's a bit of a tourist attraction so you'll likely find a few others there checking it out and taking pictures while you're there. I wouldn't go out of my way to come and see it, but if you're already in Gamla Stan, it's definitely worth stopping by.

Located in a garden behind the Finnish Church, this Statue which is just 15 cm tall is considered to be the smallest public monument in Stockholm.

Cute little statue! Its nice to drop by, sit in a bench and have some relaxing moments with your coffee or tea. You can leave something, so that he doesn’t feel too lonely, but please no organic garbage!

Cute monument near the Royal Palace. I thought it was going to be bigger, but it’s about the height of a hand. In the winter they dress him up in winter attire which is cute, but you can’t tell what it is under all that fabric!

Smallest statue in Stockholm. They say it’s of a little boy and there are many myths surrounding it. People leave coins and rub his head for fertility.

Another hidden gem in Sweden's capital city. This heartwarming sculpture brings out the inner child in all of us. The artwork depicts a young boy captivated by the moon, and it's impossible not to feel a sense of nostalgia and wonder when you see it.

This little man is not known to many visitors of the city however it is an impressive and touchy piece of art that deserves attention. Every time you visit Gamla Stan, go next to him, talk to him and share his loneliness. No need to leave coins, just try to understand his feelings!

Stockholm's smallest statue perhaps. They say that you have to touch the head of this little boy's statue, make a wish to get pregnant, and leave a coin (coin must not be Swedish currency otherwise people will just steal it). I did! Hopefully, my wish will come true! 😊. We went both at night and during the day because I forgot to leave a coin during my first visit!!! It's very small so a little bit hard to find especially at night.

The smallest sculpture in Stockholm. It is located in the Old Town and really tiny. You don't need much time for staying there. But it is worth to have a look. Higly recommend to visit and make an inmost wish! Put some coins and candies. In the winter people dress the statue in a cap and scarf to protect him from the snow and cold winds. So it looks cute!

Coins, gums, tickets from all around the Europe for sure. The place is nice and culm with some special atmosphere. So sweet little boy. Still well known by tourists and guides, so it could be occupied by a big group of people.

It's the smallest statue in Europe. The boy looking at the sky. So tiny. It's behind the finnish church in Stockholm. It's little difficult to find as it's tiny but look around the small park behind the Finnish church. Main thing is there is no description as what's the significance of this statue, why iron boy looking at sky. No details available near the statue to gain knowledge & know its importance.

Super quiet when we went in the middle of December. Little figure located at the back of a church. Worth a visit — rub his head for good luck!

It's kinda special to visit the smallest statue in Stockholm. And even if it's small. The art it transports it's message is great!

This is a must visit when around the Royal Palace. It takes only a few minutes as it is just around the corner. Very cute and it is the smallest statue in Sweden.

Järnpojke or Iron Boy, in English known as the "little boy who looks at the moon" is a sculpture in Gamla stan (Old Town) of Stockholm by Liss Eriksson, which is only 15 centimetres (5.9 in) high and therefore is the smallest public monument of Stockholm. The sculpture was created in 1954 by the Swedish artist Liss Eriksson, but was inaugurated at this point only in 1967. The sculpture is located behind the Finnish Church, which is only few meters off the Stockholm Palace.

After taking a long tour around the Royal Palace, we took a walk in one of those narrow streets to get more familiar with the neighborhood. Found this little, hidden court surrounded by buildings and tall trees. And there was this little statue of the boy looking up. Come to find out that it is a boy looking at the moon. It is the smallest public statue in Sweden. We stayed there for a little bit to enjoy the shade and this place's calm and quiet atmosphere. Great tourist attraction.

It's not an easy find in Gamla Stan but that just increases the joy of seeing the Iron Boy.
