I discovered this place from a friend's recommendation and wasn't disappointed! From outside it looks a bit obscure but is actually quite cozy indoors. The waiters and staff were really helpful, and constantly made us feel welcome, coupled with really tasty food. I was surprised the food came so fast (less than 15m), and still well prepared. There's ample seating for a lot of guests, with table service for food. Toilets were clean and in good repair, and the space was comfortably warm. NB: This place *is* expensive. I would recommend this for events and meetups but I probably won't eat here every evening 😅

Hello and welcome to my review. I’m a little tipsy (due to the brewer’s amazing beer selection), but as they say the drunken mind speaks the truth. I’d make a reservation for my family for a Sunday roast. I arrived early to have a prophylactic pint (as mentioned, great selection). The staff made me feel so welcome that I didn’t feel the slightest uncomfortable having a pint by myself (bear in mind that I’m a born and bred Stockholmer). Since my dad believes he’s one of the brits (because he knows to call Tottenham the spurs) and my mum being on the posh side (like asking if the wine is produced in the north or south valley of Côtes-du-Rhône), the pressure was high. But that turned out to be a complete waste of worrying. As the beef roasts and pork belly were served not a word was spoken for at least 3 minutes due to us being busy inhaling the delicious food. Even my I-don’t-eat-carbs-mum slayed the Yorkshire pudding. All to the sounds of the Kinks, Herman's Hermits and Noel Gallagher, and actual real life Brits conversing at the tables around us. 2 pints in I hear myself throwing around words like bloke, geezer, and cheers mate. I am now British. And as I Brit I highly highly recommend this pub. Also, dogs are very welcome TLDR; absolutely great restaurant, you should visit

EXCELLENT place. Does Gastro Pub properly - as it was when they arrived 20 years ago. The staff are friendly, the owner excellent and the three rooms: Bar stools, Tables, Restaurant, give a real sense of an English pub. And I'm Irish - it pains me to lavish praise on 'them'.😵‍💫😁

The 2nd time we visited this place. The food was not as good as the 1st time. The potato chips have changed and were not as crispy and tasty. The fish was not so fresh and the lamp was nothing special. Pretty high price for the reducing quality. The desserts are the only things that rescued the whole experience.

This place and a cold pint of real ale is exactly what we needed and the food was great too. Nice music and atmosphere as well but definitely more of a restaurant than a pub

We came here our first night in Stockholm after checking into our hotel. The food was amazing! I got the beef wellington which was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend got the catch of the week which he said was really good. The guy serving us was very friendly. Warm and cosy atmosphere. It was around 30 euro each.

Amazing roast dinner (first encounter with Yorkshire pudding), kind service, but if it's pub quiz night, trivia questions over the speakers may interrupt your conversations.

Feels like an old traditional English pub with great food and beer!

Rustikal-gemütliche Atmosphäre, sehr angenehme Hintergrundmusik, nette und freundliche Bedienung und wirklich leckere Küche! Die Preise sind für die Stockholmer Verhältnisse OK. Online-Tischreservierung ist auch möglich.

Great English pub in Stockholm. All the food has been fantastic and the customer service is second to none. Definitely check this place out while you're visiting Stockholm.

Above average food, but the cut of meat was super tiny, especially the lamb. We had the trio Sunday Roast, which was arguably not great value for money. My friend had the fish and chips, which was superb.

I rarely rate restaurants, but food exceeded my expectations so much, I had to post. Definitely more gastro than pub. I had fish of day with leeks and mashed potatoes… just a hint of horseradish and citrus in the leeks elevated the dish excellently. Made me curious what their version on fish and chips tasted like. Just a few steps off the main drag, so some traffic noise but much better than the main streets if you want to sit outside.

If you're in the mood for stellar fish and chips, this is your spot. It's a smallish place but the food is really good. They have a great assortment of English fare and even have English wine (who knew this was a thing??!). The sticky toffee pudding was superb.

I got served a tap ale that was warm which was a bit disappointing giving the price tag of ca 130 kr. We ordered two different dishes (handmade sausages and a steak). The food was made using quality raw material, served in reasonable portions, and was overly well presented. However, I tasted better and softer steaks elsewhere for the same price. The same with mashed potatoes, I can make better one at home. Besides, it seemed like we were the only customers that had to go order our food at the bar (a minor issue). Shut out to the English speaking guy, he was friendly, helpful and professional. I'd probably go back again and hope that they put some more thoughts into the taste of what they're serving. For the sake of god, please don't serve warm expensive tap beers, it really hurts. Not everyone is comfortable going back to the bar to ask for a return.

Amazing little gem of a place. Food is outstanding classic pubgrub but of the highest quality. Staff are attentive, friendly and make you feel like you've been a regular for years the first time you walk in. Atmosphere, it's a brilliant hideaway of a pub with a cozy feel inside but still manages to feel like a hole in the wall from London. Love the place. Go here.

Best IPA I had in a long time (from the guest tap). Great main course (ox and mashed potatos). Great service :)

Quite simply, the finest Sunday roast dinner anywhere! Never had a bad meal, fantastic service and great value for Stockholm. One of my favourite restaurants anywhere…

Awesome place and we loved the drink and hospital and food for sure! It’s definitely worth a visit the prices are bit on higher side compared to food serving and quality! The cocktails were the best and we definitely recommend then and don’t miss the fish and chips…! It’s awesome 😎

A real English Gastro Pub experience in the heart of Stockholm. Combines some great British Ales with some traditional superbly cooked British food. The scotch egg was incredible with a splash of HP Sauce followed by a beef wellington cooked to perfection and paired with a little English mustard…Coleman’s of course. Highly recommended.

Beef wellington was good, staff was friendly and easy going. They are currently serving English xmas dinner. I will come back :) They also had a nice selection of craft beer.

Nice eatery in the facilities where Low and Slow Smokehouse used to be (RIP!). We thoroughly enjoyed our meal which started with the scotch egg (a must!), through a starter of chorizo toast (OK) and on to the Wellie for myself and the cod for the missus. Dessert was sticky toffee pudding. Overall everything was good - nicely prepared and presented. Staff was friendly and cheery, good service. The starter and the dessert was good but not awesome which for me means 4 stars out of 5. Even so, well worth a visit and we'll come back! :)

Fabulous fish and chips. As good as back in old Blighty. Mushy peas to boot.

Good food, good service and a good choice of drinks. What more do you need from a pub?

Really enjoy it here. The food is great. The fish and chips is delicious. As well as the Beef Wellington. They do a Roast every Sunday as well. I had the sticky toffee pudding. It was incredible.

Was not planning on going to The Old Brewer last night but when looking at the menu a lovely man came out and said hello to us. We really wanted to have some fish, he explained they had a special on of halibut, so we decided to give it a go. Where able to sit outside which was lovely and i must say the staff where brilliant from start to finish. So warm and welcoming! We ended up trying one of there "scotch eggs" to start and thin i had the fish special and my wife had what looked like a lovely salad. All was washed down with two very nice large beers. We ended up staying for a cocktail after dinner. Was a lovely night all round. Will hope to come back next time we are in Stockholm.

Excellent food, like others have said the fish and chips is really good. I had sticky toffee pudding too which was amazing. The staff were great too, very friendly. However the menu choice was quite short and the prices a little higher than I'm used to paying but it's my first night in Stockholm so I've nothing to compare against yet.

Very tasty and cooking fast! Fish and chips cost 240 kr. Beer +-80 kr.

Great beers, with a good selection. Very nice staff and the pub itself is cozy. Gives a proper pub vibe. They even have real ale. I will visit again, but not for fish and chips. Unfortunately the fish and chips was not completely up to scratch. It’s not bad, just has a good room for improvements. The batter is a bit too much, as it was a bit doughy against the fish, and with the size of the packaging, I was a bit dissatisfied with the size of the content. The batter was a bit too oily. The fish lacked a bit of salt inside the batter. It’s all about the fine adjustments here and the total experience.

We went for the Sunday roast, which was really good. Also the sausage roll was very recommendable 🤤 The only reason for giving 4⭐️ and not 5 was the price.

Friendly staff, very good homemade food. We loved it and we'll come back for sure for a good fish and chips

One of my favorite places in Stockholm. It has a feel of comfort and friendliness that so many places in Stockholm can sometimes miss the mark on. I will always recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice restaurant or for the best pub atmosphere. Staff, food and service are top notch!

All in all I would say 4.5 😊 Pro: Nice vibe, good food, friendly staff Con: the food is pricey and potion is ok

Only place in Sweden having a proper English neighbourhood pub feeling. Great food. Great beer, please have the cask ale. Welcoming service.

Best fish and chips I’ve ever had, and that’s including in the UK. Bonus points for (finally, in Sweden), some nice UK alt music. Lots of Catfish and the Bottlemen, we love it.

Best gastropub in Sweden. A roast dinner to rival the very best and a sticky toffee pud that is out of this world.
