👍👍 If I could, I would have given 10 stars to this restaurant. Best salmon and risotto we ever had so far in Sweden! Nice salad buffet, very clean, very central. Staff is lovely and fast. Totally recommend ☺️ People often mention good, service, time, nice, great, restaurant, menu,

Brilliant Place for A Meal Ventured into this restaurant and no regrets. Well prepared and delicious. The ambience was cosy and welcoming. Friendly service crew. Had the platter and pasta fillet beef for our mains. Delicious! Dessert was Pannacotta.

We had a starter and the fish platter between the two of us. The food was very good with a fair price. The service was super friendly and professional. There are six tables around the bar. The whole setup makes this place very cosy and enjoyable. We will come again!

Quant restaurant with traditional Swedish dishes. The Kramig fisk & Shalduspasta - seafood pasta is delicious especially on a cool evening. Friendly staff and really good service. Will definitely go back next time in Sweden.

Amazing food. Was worried about being in a touristy area but the beer was great and the elk burger was fantastic! Would come back.

A really cool underground place, the staff is very nice! They have a range of beers. I don’t give them 5 stars just because the food took nearly an hour to come. Apart from that I really recommend checking it out.

We enjoyed our time, big restaurant that can accommodate big groups. Has some typical Swedish dishes. It was my first time eating elf beef, I did not like it much but it was still a good experience.

There’s a small dining area at street level but you’d be excused for missing the much large area underground, accessed via the steep spiral concrete staircase. While many might find this intimidating a friendly member of staff greeted immediately on arrival and seated us at a large table at the rear of the restaurant. Being at the back was perhaps the reason service was awfully slow at times but other than that it was a decent evening meal. The menu isn’t the most varied but there’s some nice local dishes adding to the authentic feel. Service of the food once it’d been ordered wasn’t too bad although the portion sizes meant you should really consider the full three courses. Quality of the food and cooking certainly can’t be complained about though, with the meat being done perfectly and the sauces just right in terms of quantity. Deserts were equally as good and it was nice to see a couple of desert wines available. The whole setting was rather pleasant, and the large table welcome with everywhere clean, and if it wasn’t for the painfully slow service could have been one of the best meals in the city.

Ate here tonight only a few people in but atmosphere nice all the same, I had the Reindeer fillet cooked blue as I like it and it was done to perfection. My wife had the Elk burger which was also superb. The Italian gentleman serving us was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Very good food and a great place to go.

This is a cozy place. We were in the room at street level, small but nice Staff is very friendly and professional (Aba in particular). Food is good quality and tasty.

Had the elk burger which was really good. Plus they have a good beer selection. But what really stood out was the unique experience: If you sit in the upstairs section ("the bar") they will let you choose music they play for you. In my case everybody in the bar was having a great time and engaged in conversations about music and even started singing along. My only regret is I couldn't stay longer.

Wow ! Just wow. This is amazing Aba and Abraham was amazing. Recommended wine paring, pasta and a seafood option that was literally perfect. Exactly what we wanted and it was so memorable. If you come to old town Stockholm, this is a must visit for lunch or dinner.

Feels kinda like a turist trap The meatballs plate only has 3 meatballs, yes it was good, nothing that crazy but the portion feels kinda ridiculous. The carbonara is average The burgers I mean, you just have to look at the picture. It looks super cheap, the bread, the fries and the burger is basically bread and meat nothing else. Everything tasted moderatly good, it is not like you can't finish the plate but you get that feeling of disappointment that you spent your money here. The staff was pretty nice. The place is cozy and well located but it feels a bit crowded at times

The food was delicious and the drink was great. We stopped here because the menu looked good. We were not disappointed, my fish and potato balls were amazing.

We had reindeer fillet in red sine sauce and it was really good. The grilled seafood platter is perfectly matched with their special sauce. Fiving only 4 stars because the service was a bit slow.

The place had an upstairs bar and a downstairs cellar. The upstairs bar is small but quaint. Food, there is a lunch menu and ala carte. Lunch menu is priced quite reasonable, around 135kr, for a schnitzel plate, e.g.. Others, grilled salmon and shellfish combo were brilliant. The other meat dishes also look sumptuous. Pricing was reasonable. Self-service salad and bread/smorgasbord is available too. Try the fried ice-cream to end the meal.

I had a fabulous dinner here! The downstairs was closed bc it was a Monday night so service upstairs was amazing and fast and serving a full menu. I enjoyed the plank salmon which was delicious and perfectly cooked! They had a handful of beers on draft and the music and ambience was lovely. Highly recommend!

Would highly recommend. Food was absolutely delicious. Staff were attentive but not over bearing. Really relaxed atmosphere. Do yourself a favour and visit here. Loved it!

Very friendly and polite service, great tender meat with tasty wine. Didn’t really have time to take proper pictures of our dinner, but we had a wonderful time. Will definitely visit the restaurant again!

Great little find in old town. The meatballs were great, as well as the goulash soup.

Went there for lunch - a great experience! Staff is very nice but only one guy delivering food and drinks, though going above and beyond! We avoided the worst of the rush so YMMV. Well worth a visit! Went for calf fillet (see pictures) and spaghetti carbonara - both were excellent! Prices were good, too - 120 SEK for any of the daily food dishes, 20 SEK for the soft drinks (beer was pretty cheap too), unlike most of the places in the area.

It's an interesting looking place in a busy area but the food was very mediocre. We ordered the meatballs and they were still ice cold inside. The plate was pretty but unfortunately that was the best aspect. If you want traditional Swedish food I would look elsewhere.

Good Swedish style homey food, nothing spectacular but not bad either. Free salad for lunch time, and bread but we came right at the end of the lunch so some of the salad and bread was over. It's few tables on a street in old town and a small corner shop with few more tables, there's not much to say of atmosphere or anything, kind of generic. The service took a bit time and was quite minimalistic but okay.

Absolutely lovely place. I think the food is for REALLY reasonable price and it is amazing. There is a buffet, water and coffe (!) included in the price when you have a menu (11:00-15:00) The waiter was very nice and helpful. Thanks!

First things first the food is ON POINT. For main we had the classic pepper steak as well as the sea fish platter with mashed potatoes and gratin. Both 5 stars. The ambiance is nice an cozy and our waiter was absolutely attentive. We had a great time at Gamla Stan Hof

My food looked nothing like the pictures. They served the platter of food with soggy diner-style French fries, not the tasty looking whipped potatoes in the picture. The meat was bland and I could even tell what was what on the skillet. My kid enjoyed his elk burger. Service was moderate at best.
