Apart from visiting the Vasa museum this little gem has been our highlight in our 4 days stay at Stockholm. Due to the very high temperatures at Midsommar we escaped the city center to stroll along the park. The entrance to the villa is about 12 Euro but totally worth it. The ticket office is in a smaller housing next to the villa. The tour starts on the left with a gallery of lovely paintings of Swedish art from around the 1900s in the romantic style. The tour continues in the villa right after a tunnel passage. The rooms are just beautiful showing you an extraordinary life style from around 1900 including Vienna modern and art nouveau. The different colors of light from the window blinds and room interior is amazing. Also have a look at the flowers in each room. They are all real and freshly taken from the nursery garden around the corner (can not be visited). Plan for about 1 to 2 hours for this place. I highly recommend taking the bus to the very right eastern end of the island to board one of the SL ferries (line 82, if you got a SL day ticket). It will bring you back downtown (or Vasa museum) with a few stops on the other side of the bay giving you the opportunity the get get some nice photos.

Two parts to this museum. The art gallery displaying some beautiful paintings, many in the French "plein-air" style, then you go through the tunnel to visit a number of ground floor nicely furnished and bright rooms in the mansion. Hop on the No 7 tram from the center of town to get here. The grounds provide some great views over the water.

One of Stockholm's nicest art museum is Prins Eugens Waldemarsudde on the royal island of Djurgården with a marvellous views over the town and the water. There is a big park, the museum and a nice restaurant and coffee shop. There is a great permanent collection as well as several temporary exhibitions. Make sure you take a stroll around the gardens as well as the museum. The easiest way to get there is tram number 7 from Kungsträdgården.

A large gallery with an impressive collection of paintings from some of the more notable and influencial scandanavian artists. The venue operates on multiple levels across different buildings connected by an underground corridor, the old house and a more modern space. The place is air conditioned which is a of welcome relief in the middle of July. A great place to spend some time, will definitely call in again.

This is a beautiful museum, split between the main manor and the gallery. The current exhibition celebrates female landscape artists such as Anna Boberg, Ester Almqvist and Charlotte Wahlström. The paintings are stunning, capturing the beauty of Nordic landscapes. The manor is beautifully preserved, with the downstairs more of a museum and the upstairs an extension of the gallery. While this is located away from the other museums on the island, this is definitely worth visiting.

Take the #7 bus to the end of the line, and enjoy a beautiful stroll by the water, filled with ducks and boats, past a cafe ☕️ offering food selections and adult beverages, to the museum and gallery filled with antiques and art, and a very nice gift shop with a focus on art and plant 🪴 enthusiasts, highly recommend.

The view, the walk in the park, the manor, and all this story about the prince Eugene. Really worth it.

A lovely place. Space to move around in the exhibition and beautiful flowers indoors and of course paintings. After the exhibition, you have the opportunity to eat in the restaurant. I took a glass of wine from the van. You can easily get to the center by tram.

Beautiful villa on Djurgården with great views. Very interesting small art collection. Can recommend as a day trip with walk on the island and lunch at Rosendahl’s Trädgard or Café Ektorp.

I’m so glad we visited Prins Eugens home. The art, especially his own, was spectacular. There are ask beautiful flowers in each room in flowerpots Prins Eugens designed. He was a tremendously talented man! The gardens and statues outside are a joy to see and stroll through. I’m so glad we had an opportunity to visit here and highly recommend you take time to visit during your stay in Stockholm.

Super tolles Museum.

A hidden gem in Stockholm. Beautiful art work, building and location. Flower arrangements are gorgeous from flowers that come from the garden.

Refreshing and joyful. Good for inspiration and regeneration. Impressionism that is soulful, penetrative and restorative.

Amazing art collection in a wonderful location! Much better than many other attractions where everybody goes. Here you visit a real mansion completely furnished with antique furniture and beautiful paintings both from the prince himself and from other artists which the prince was used to collect. The palace is located within a public park with lots of walking paths on the water side. Must go if you are in Stockholm. The cafe close by is also worth, especially for sitting outside in the sunny days

If you don't want to spend your whole day looking at art, come here. The curators definitely know what they're doing and have always an interesting angle. Besides if you're not that into art you can just enjoy the flowers and the atmosphere. Stunningly beautiful

Beautiful mansion and surroundings. There is a gallery with Nordic mordern art exhibition. The interior of the mansion is decorated with carefully selected flowers. The size of the gallery/mansion is not huge. Two floors were open (first fl as gallery and second fl as interior) and we spent about one hour here in total.

Beautifully situated art museum, not overwhelmingly big. Cafeteria sells nice fresh food. The Nickolai Astrup exhibition is very good now.
