Finner alltid ett Lugn mitt i huvudstadens brus mittemot Slottet i denna "träkyrka" Finnish Church in Stockholm. Är den äldsta (Finland) församlingen inom Sthlms Svenska kyrkan under 480 år! Historien o flera interiördetailer flyttat fr Svartbrödernas Kloster till Riddarholmens samt Tyska kyrkan i Ingermanland. Man har ofta föreläsing, gratiskonserter, 2-språkiga högmässor etc. "Järnpojken", minsta statyn i Sthlm i backsidenis grönska, syns even där minnes-/plakett samt -stunder för bl a Självständighetsdagen 6e dec håls.

I didn’t actually go into the church but Hidden behind the church on the churchyard is this little iron boy who’s looking at the moon, believed to offer good luck. It’s quite astonishing to look at and considering it is about 15cm it can be hard to miss. Though it’s likely there is a small gathering around it. I loved this little guy.

The church hall itself is very beautiful. I was on Sunday 18.9. at the event, Pilgrimsmä, Stockholm's Finnish Church. I hardly heard anything the priests (3) said, they were "muttering under their breath" and being loud didn't help. What is the proclamation of God's word if the parishioners present do not hear the proclamation. I've been to Pentecostal services, for example, even though it's "hihhuliminki" so at least everyone can hear what's being said. Besides, one of the priests was dressed quite inappropriately in my opinion: in untidy clothes (the so-called monk jack - he's not even a monk). The priest should respect the church and the churchgoers by dressing properly! As the other 2 priests did, the priest's robe.

What lovely and friendly people. I arrived after the Sunday service: a nice lady asked me where I was from, and offered tea. Another person gave me a tour. Lovely, friendly people.

Nicht ganz einfach zu finden weil sie nicht typisch kirchenartig ist. Im Innenhof findet man Svärnpojke! Erstaunlich monumental phänomenal!
