Pretty fun night with welcoming staff. There was a locker and coat check(free of charge) at the entrance and nice receptionist. We exactly spend 90 mins there and enjoyed all exhibitions. The staff were helpful around by explaining things and taking group pictures. Around each exhibition was a QR code that with scanning it you could read the explanation. The paradox tunnel at the beginning was the most fun part! After that the mirror hall, a very picturesque room😁, the piano was also fun but around 40 % of the items and experience you have seen already on internet. However you will have a fun 90 mins if specially you are with a group of friends. Another good point is that you can up to 2 hours prior your visit change your visit time! Awesome! Besides that the customer service via phone and email are fast and responsive. It is totally recommended to visit the museum!

Our visit to the Paradox Museum in Stockholm was an incredibly fun and intellectually stimulating experience. This unique museum is a delightful playground for the mind, offering a series of interactive exhibits that challenge perception and defy logic. Each exhibit was creatively designed, encouraging not just observation but active participation. I was particularly impressed by the illusions that played with size perception and gravity – they were not only amusing but also made me ponder the intricacies of human perception. The museum's layout facilitated a smooth flow from one exhibit to the next, allowing for a comprehensive experience. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, ready to explain the science behind each paradox. This added depth to the experience, making it educational as well as entertaining. The museum is also quite photogenic, offering numerous opportunities for quirky and memorable photos. While ideal for families and groups, some exhibits might be less engaging for younger children. However, for those interested in science, psychology, or just looking for an unusual experience, the Paradox Museum is a fantastic choice. It's a place that combines fun and learning in a way that appeals to visitors of all ages.

A very enjoyable and entertaining experience in central Stockholm. It's probably better to buy your tickets in advance, especially on weekends and during holidays. We didn't, but got a slot within 40 minutes of arriving, so just walked around Hötorget a bit. There are many different rooms and installations. Some are relatively simple, others are real head scratchers. Bring your mobile phone, because the effect of some of the paradoxes can only really be seen on pictures. My 12 year old son and I enjoyed it. It's not a particularly "Stockholm" experience, of course, but it's a lot fun and very entertaining. Kudos also to the staff, who were very friendly and managed the visitor flow very well.

Just an underground playpark for kids! Could be a fun big kid play park but ruined by the amount of people and especially the kiddos. Heed the advice... Go during term time and week days so it's less busy..... Too many kids ruined the experience. Each photo opportunity was either walked through or Interrupted by a child. Not really the child's fault but the parents who let them push through queues and lines of others waiting, standing in the way of exhibits, or using all the lockers for each child. I found this is just family's being rude and slack in discipline. Control your offspring or allow them to be struck by a member of the public! Your choice. Most of the kids didn't really get the concept anyway and thought of it as more of a play park. Perhaps an adult only time slot on each weekend / every day would help. Also going as a couple or just the two of you would mean some photos would need to be taken by staff who seemed to disappear when you saw a couple. Meaning giving your camera to another patron who inevitably took a poor photo. A stand for cameras in the right place where a timer could be set up would work better. Other than that it's a small cramped museum which will give you a headache at the end. Cannot say I hated it. It's very much worth a visit but either wait for them to put in place my actions or go in quieter hours.

This place is great. The exhibits are fun and engaging and you'll get some really great photos and videos to share. The best part is that the staff are an absolute credit to the running of this place. When you first approach an exhibit it's not always immediately clear what the paradox is that you're looking at. There are written explanations on the wall so you're never totally lost, but the staff are always there, and they'll come over and show you what's happening and they'll take pictures and record videos etc. The staff really went above and beyond to make the experience the best it can be. The most well deserved 5 star review I've ever written.

Had some time to kill one evening and it was so cold outside we decided to see what the Paradox Museum was like. Had some difficulty finding it as we didn't understand the directions. Upon our arrival we welcomed and provided information about the museum, how it works and what to expect. And there were plenty of helpful staff along the way to take pictures and answer questions - I think that really added to the experience. The amount of time spent here will really depend on how much you get into the exhibits. For a better experience I'd recommending coming when it is not too busy.

Very fun museum. My 12 year old daughter and I liked it very much. Use their WiFi because mobil coverage may be quite bad in this place.... Good opportunities to take photos and videos.

We loved this place! Really cool experience, I will say it is a little hard to find but we managed to get there in the end and the staff all the way through were very welcoming and helpful. We went in the evening so it wasn't very busy which was nice and we were able to take our time. We got some great photos out of it and it was a very nice way to spend an hour out of the cold. If you want some great holiday photos this is the place to go!

A fun place and definitely quieter on a daily basis in the middle of the day. We were able to walk in peace with a few people and the friendly staff gave instructions and took pictures as a souvenir😍 Small cabinets for storing things are included in the priceđŸ’« Definitely the best with children, but it also reminds adults to throw themselves and play sometimes - great đŸ„°

Visited on a whim on a Saturday evening and had a great time. Lots of interactive elements and fun exhibits to get your brain working. Staff were really nice and happy to take picture and explain in more detail about how some of the exhibits work when it wasn’t clear. It’s definitely worth making a visit if you fancy trying something new.

Super fun experience for all ages, especially during the winter as it is in closed warm space. Allows for creativity and leaves with great memories in form of hilarious photos and videos with your dear ones. Recommend everyone and cannot wait for something new to come up so I have excuse to go again!

10/10 experience. Staff are friendly and helpful, asked us where we were from, helped us set up our lockers, and were available to take photos of us. Some of the exhibits are more interesting than others, my personal favourite being either the upside-down room or the perspective room (that makes one person look huge and the other look tiny!). Some were less interactive, such as the impossible bars or the disappearing black dots. However, I had a lot of fun and would love to go back, provided there were new illusions for a new experience! Gift shop is slightly on the pricy side but offers a fair amount to choose from, including totes, mini paradox rings, and branded pencils. It's definitely a worthwhile stop in Stockholm!

We liked the exhibition. That's fun to know more about optical illusions and to become a part of some of them. We have nice photos, so take your camera with you! If you are two persons and the third person is needed to take a picture, ask a friendly employee of the museum, they will help you :-)

The Paradox Museum Stockholm is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in the art of perception and optical illusions. It is a well-designed and engaging attraction that is sure to provide a unique and memorable experience for visitors of all ages. One of the highlights of the museum is the Paradox Tunnel, a rotating tunnel that creates an illusion of movement that can be quite disorienting. Visitors can also take part in a variety of challenges and games that test their perception and cognitive abilities.

As a British tourist, this was by far the best place i visited in Stockholm, it was so much fun and laughs as well as educational. But the whole experience was made incredible by Leo. Leo was such an incredible worker. We went as a pair and so it was hard for us to take some of the illusion photos but Leo was there to help. She was so funny and kind and respectful. She didn’t want to intrude and follow us around but we were so entertained by her that we really wanted her to haha. You could tell she enjoyed her job. Giving us directions on how to pose and doing multiple takes until she was satisfied, genuinely one of the best people we met in Stockholm and completely unintentionally. Leo if your reading this i would like to say thank you for your service.

An absolute must if visiting Stockholm. Incredibly unique exhibition with loads of interactive activities and picturing taking moments, for all ages including young children. The staff were also very helpful, and the museum is located in the city centre so very easy to get to. A joyous experience!

It’s an interesting place, that’s for sure. Some of the rooms are really cool, like spinning tunnel and a few others. The only thing that is a bit unfortunate is that is pretty crowded. You do have some sort of buffer between other people, but towards the middle section you will have to wait in line for each room/exhibit. I would recommend visiting it when maybe not this crowded.

Definitely a highlight of our Stockholm trip. We had a fun time here, thanks to the interactive nature of most of the exhibits. The members of staff were friendly with helpful advice on how to get really great photos. We came away with some brilliant, yet unbelievable photos. We recommend this museum as a must-see attraction for anyone visiting Stockholm.

More for young family's. The info on the web Saya it should take around 80 minutes but I would say normal speed would be around 35-45 minutes. The staff was sweet and helpful.

Tons of fun stations. The theme of the museum is that not everything is what it looks. Very helpful and kind staff, free lockers for valuables and room to hang cloths. The grown ups liked Paradox - the kids loved it!

It was a very funny experience, (even for the grown ups!) . I was hesitating to go as I was in a business trip, therefore nobody was available to got with me, but the staff was super helpful and kind, they took amazing pics and explained the illusions. The only recommendation don’t go in peak hours if you want to make the best of it as it is a relative small area.

A fun spot to go! Definitely go with someone else. Most of the photo opportunities require 2+ people. The staff can help you out too! We went through in about an hour. Make sure to take the time to read about each exhibit on the wall so you know how to see it or do it.

Nice museum, good pastime during rainy days. A little more help from the staff would have been nice, unfortunately, the exhibition was also full to bursting, so also understandable that they did not have time for everyone. In the end it is up to you if you think the price is justified or not.

Nice and centrally located museum. Several exciting interactive exhibitions. Staff were active and pleasant, making the exhibitions more rewarding. We visited the museum one weekend in middle of cemeber 2022 without pre-purchasing tickets. Museum was not overcrowded.

It’s a collection of optical illusions set up in the style of a museum. It is incredibly busy with people of all ages which can cause significant queues if you want to interact with any of the exhibits. For the admission price, you get to see various illusions although some are more “in depth” than others. The major ones however attract significant queues and it is difficult to enjoy them without being disturbed by other less patient people. A lot of the exhibits require 2 people to experience, but to take photos you need a third - we had to rely on others around us. Although it is said there are staff around, I saw maybe one or two who disappeared pretty quickly and seemed unhappy about being asked. Overall, I found it expensive for the experience.

  • 4/5 David S. 1 year ago on Google
Cool experience. Buy tickets in advance to avoid that you have to come back later as a lot of people visit the place especially on weekends. You can store your coats and backpacks in a locker.

Es ist ein wunderbares Museum. Es ist Physik und optische TĂ€uschung. In einer U-Bahnstation. VerrĂŒckt, nein, Schweden eben, da geht so etwas. Schaut selbst.

We made an error in our reservation and arrived a day left. The staff quickly said it is no problem and let us in. The staff were very friendly, helped taking pictures. The museum overall is quite compact and it seemed quite small, however still had a great time.

Went on a Sunday, didn't anticipate how busy the place would be. I showed up expecting to wait but get in shortly, but instead, they asked me to come back in a couple hours at a specified time. This was fine with me as I had no set schedule, but I could tell it caused problems for others who wanted to attend. The place was absolutely packed - often hard to get around without bumping into people. Mostly families with young children which made me feel a little strange being there by myself. Also pretty much the entire museum is designed so that taking pictures of you in the exhibits is half the experience; I had no one else with me and, being introverted and clearly not local, wouldn't be caught asking people to take my picture, and on top of that I personally would rather spend more time experiencing the exhibits than photographing them; so I inevitably left feeling a little underwhelmed. That said, I'm probably not the target audience. I definitely would have enjoyed it a lot more if I hadn't seen all those optical illusions before; they're very fun, and I could tell all the families there were having a great time taking silly pictures.

Unbelievable... and magical... Rethinking visualisation... 2 hours easily spent there... My 10 years old daughter enjoyed so much she wants to come back for more fun... I found the entry fee a bit high, for 1 adult and 1 child (paid ÂŁ 30). Free lockers, but no water/refreshment station.
