Absolutely fantastic! Lovely staff, great atmosphere and my god the food!! Would go back in a heartbeat. Bonus points for one of the best homemade pies I've ever had.

A warm welcome awaits visitors to this quaint traditional pub. Also known as the Thieves Neck there is a roaring fire and simple tasty food with wonderful beers and wines to refresh the weary traveller. Highly recommend.

We keep going back to the Thief's simply because it serves the best home cooked food in the area. A new addition to the menu is Steak Frites which is absolutely wonderful.

We kind of came in here by accident, but we're glad we did. What a lovely, friendly pub this is. We came in with our twin babies and many places just don't want the hassle. This place couldn't have been more welcoming. Made us feel so at ease (as sometimes you're not when you have babies with you!). Food was lovely, service was quick. Would definitely recommend. Thanks to all the lovely staff.

We call it "Thief's Neck"!.. nice local pub near us which we walk to through countryside..beer is excellent..it's a Robinson brewery..my favourite being Old Tom!..the staff are very polite and welcoming..the pub has several small rooms inside..but plenty of outdoor seating front and rear..food wise.. personally we haven't eaten here..but our grand daughter was with us recently and she and her boyfriend did..they both had"steak sandwich" and she described it as "thinner than my patience"!..she showed it to me..and it was extremely thin..in a big thick bun!..but I've given it 5 stars.. because we like it!

Hidden gem in plain sight. Wonderful old school country pub. Staff are so friendly, home cooked meals and our doggy lives the attention from the staff...and the free treats!

Lovely pub with the feel of a proper country pub. Located at the very end of the 42b bus route. Think I came here about 40 years ago. I knew it was a Good Beer Guide regular; 35 years according to the A frame outside. Also known as The Thief's neck. ( Davenport family could hang poachers on behalf of the King!). An excellent Robinsons establishment. Great pint of Dizzy Blond. Pint of Madri. Β£10.30 for the two. Beer garden to front and rear.

Great place to go for a quick pint of Unicorn on the lovely outside seating area in the summer, or a great Sunday roast. Always welcoming and child friendly, great family pub with warm atmosphere.

We came based on some Friend’s recommendation and what I great visit it was. The Sunday Roast was simply superb. All three of us went for the beef which was quite literally cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend to anyone, Yvonne and her team were so welcoming x
