My partner and I took the girls for a week to crimdon Dene holiday park for the first time. It was amazing as the caravan was clean and always had heat. You have restaurant, bar on site, as well as swimming pool, arcade, and a show bar at night also there is a shop on site as well and is close to beach and close to Hartlepool. Will definitely be going back again. Would recommend this place for family's who want to entertain kids on a weeks holiday.

Thank you so much for the weekend we have just departed from!! 🥰 Was a great spacious caravan with all amenities, heating and hot water!! The clubhouse was very lively and the kids loved the park The launderette was out of order, which is the only issue I had.. and I am sorry I didn't realise the clear bag was for used sheets I used it for recycling 🙈🙈 But we will be back! And thank you for having us!! The ground is always clean and tidy!! And plenty of security to help and assist if needed xx

Honestly without exaggeration the worst place you could bring a touring caravan. Check in was rude and very quickly to pass the blame to any warden that wasn’t near them litter picking team are pointless having because they don’t even touch the touring section and only contributed to the limitless cigarette ends all over the play park. Facilities are disgusting not even ideal for a dog wash was only there for a couple of nights but I think the local services would of been better I don’t think it’s the staffs fault but just the not caring attitude of people staying there my opinion would be is if they had more pride in the park the people staying there would have more pride as well my recommendation is to stay as far away as you can I think they really need to have a good look around at what they really want.

Lovely friendly staff and a superb location but poor standard of pet friendly accommodation that ironically charges a hefty fee for deep cleaning. Seating cushions were heavily stained and surfaces dirty with crumbs. All cutlery, crockery and utensils were washed after which I felt a whole lot better. I've been to this site 8 years ago and the quality of the accommodation was so much better. Not good value for money and a hefty pet charge which they say they put into deep cleaning but not in the van I stayed in. Disappointing...

Caravan was nice but could definitely do with a good clean. Staff where rude and looked down at you most of the time. The pool was freezing and the changing rooms where disgusting smelt of urine had to bin my towel after using. Over priced food. The shop be cheaper driving back to Scotland for essentials than buying out of it. Entertainment venue was disgusting sticky tables don’t think they have seen a cloth in months. Chairs where tired some broken and ripped. Curtains hanging off. Issues with very leaky tap in caravan kitchen. Gas stove had limited hobs to actually use. Decking was very unsafe was scared to even touch it.

We hadn't ever been to county durham.... the people are friendly, everyone will talk to you about anything & everything. The cliff's & beach are vast... the caves are worth a visit. The staff on site were extremely helpful & the caravan was great. We will be back! And the dunes cafe is good

Caravan was beautiful but the staff are vile, so rude. None helpful. Far to over priced. Charging 5 star rates for a 1 star service. Security guard thinking he's 10 men and can bully people. No food in the restaurant looking at other reviews that's been a problem for months. Entertainment is shocking and all clubhouse and bar staff have no idea what they are doing.

Wow what can I say. We had a wonderful stay with you guys. Everything went smoothly from arriving to departing. The kids loved the arcades and the football court was marvellous for my son who’s addicted to football ❤️. We went to the pool party which was canny wasn’t too busy either. But it is easier just to walk out and get showered back at your van as there’s not many Changing rooms. The caravan was lovely 🥰 the beds had a strange smell according to my son. The restaurant however did disappoint on Friday evening, when the food had ran out! But the beach is amazing 😍 which is where we doesn’t most our time. We met a lovely lady called Elaine on the Saturday evening an owner. I just like to say thank you to you ❤️if your reading. I unfortunately didn’t save your number 😟. Thanks for having us crimdon dene and we will see you very soon! ❤️

For such a large park it has a tiny entertainment venue. Most people left standing to watch the shows. Small swimming pool,, small arcades, small shop. And by the looks could do with fixing up. There is a beach close by which is lovely, if you don't mind steps down. There is activities to book. Caravan we had was clean, spacious and easy to get to.

We have just returned from 6 nights with our tourer (2 adults). Sadly we found this site very poor with the pitches it offers. I accept that they can't be held responsible for the weather but they are responsible for providing the bases. Majority of the pitches are not a suitable size for the size of caravans they are putting on them and a lack of hardcore for cars to park on. After taking the allocated pitch we would have been walking in 6 inches of mud. We were told there were no others available as they were due to be fully booked, we took it upon ourselves to move to a better one. When we left on Saturday we had seen the field become a mud bath and several cars get stuck. Although we had no children the sports and play areas were good. The toilets were clean, showers were very tight with lack of space to hang clothes, due to not being able to adjust shower head the whole cubicle became soaked. Location of site was good for getting out and about to see places.

We stayed here via Sun holidays for 4 nights we payed for an upgrade and the caravan was very clean. The park however, was ok. The app to book the swimming or paid activities didn't work; bike hire was no where to be seen. The onsite restraunt was clean, staff seemed lovely but very stressed this could have been due to the fact they had no mains/starters/breakfasts other than pizza which was very disappointing as there is no pubs within in reasonable walking distance. The entertainment has a lot to be desired. My family has been to many caravan holiday parks and this by far wasn't the best entertainment team. The showbar prices for alcohol were actually cheaper than we expectes. The swimming pool is small for the size of the park, small changing facilities and you store your bags/towels in a wired cage. There are two toilet facilities for the showbar and onsite restraunt, which were flooded a few notes (more than likely unruly kids); I had to say to staff a few times about the cleanleness of the ladies a few nights (felt the were not checked often enough). The view of the sea is amazing though and the walk along to the beach is nice. Overal though I don't think my family would be back unless it gets a make over for improvements.

Parkdean online swimming booking system is inaccessible with your holiday reference number if you booked your holiday via Hoseseasons or other sites. The online booking system only works if your holiday is booked directly via Parkdean with a Parkdean reference number. Told over the phone before start of holiday and also at holiday park reception you could still book even with third party reference but I assure you this is incorrect as tried several times. Could only book 30 minute swimming pool sessions on site at poolside due to "being too busy" but when looking through window of pool area at various "busy" periods there were hardly any people in the pool, not worth the hassle of changing kids etc. for 30 minute swim time and no lockers present, small changing cubicles and hardly any. You have to take shoes off before entering changing area, so after drying off after swim (still covered in chlorine) you have to walk to entrance of pool area then dry your feet and put socks and shoes on whilst blocking the only entrance in and out of pool whilst balancing on one leg as no chairs provided. Really bad. Pool water temperature at bare minimum so not good at all but around 3 or 4 years ago Parkdean pools were definitely far warmer so obviously the company is saving energy costs. Only 2 showers in total at pool area which is quite pathetic, well below what required and waste of time anyway as water was always very cold, no warmth whatsoever so not able to shower in any way before or after swimming. You are meant to shower before going in pool (pool rules) I witnessed kids crying as they tried to go under the shower due to the freezing temperature. The swimming was not fun at all so my family stopped going due to reasons mentioned. My kids normally love swimming and was one of the reasons we selected this park due to the pool and beach. Not able to get to Beach due to the beach being at much lower level and the only steps down to it were far too steep and very dangerous. The beach can be accessed a bit easier at opposite end of caravan park but even still, it is accessed via walking down steep steps for 5 minutes which which even for a fit person are a struggle to navigate. A young child or older person, disabled person would really struggle or not manage at all, wheelchairs definitely cannot access Beach due to steepness of descent. The only positive was the caravan which was decent and clean but was situated really far from the main complex area so had to drive to it each time due to taking far too long to walk to it. Was a football court but kids could not get use of it as far too busy at all times even in the rain. Warning - Do not buy from the on-site chip van, charged me £4 for the smallest portion of chips I have ever been served in my ensure life and I am not exaggerating, felt like I had been robbed, totally shocked, they also tasted terrible. Myself, my wife and 3 kids did not enjoy our 7 day holiday at all due to these issues and decided to leave early so would not recommend Crimdon Dene to others.

Avoid this place like the plague, it's over extortionate prices on literally everything, you Pay for an entertainment pass to use the facilities then you can't even book them as the place is massively overpopulated and so few facilities to accommodate and there's always extra charges. We waited four hours for a slot in the swimming pool which is absolutely tiny in size , the lifeguards told us it was half an hour but the kids barely had 15 minutes. Breakfast at the boat house was disgusting, toast was rough and felt as it was left out for moments after it was cooked ,wasnt even hot when the breakfast come out . Everything else was greasy and not very well cooked. Staff are hopeless I explained to the barmaid in the boat house 4 times on my order and it still come back with an error . I think the CEO needs to have a stay on a low income budget and just experience it ,the place is a huge disgrace and what it charges is like being robbed daily , everything from the bar at 5.29 a pint to deposits on pedal carts to the convenience store it's a huge rip off. Wouldn't go to a parkdean resort ever again as they are all the same I've heard. This was a private booking and I can't fault the caravan at all but Stick to haven for your money's worth on a small getaway

Came here for the Easter break with my children. Positives first, there was no litter around the site which was great, a dog friendly site where everyone picked up after their dogs. The kids entertainment staff were polite and happy and spoke to you, they were definitely the highlight of the trip. The security staff on the children’s arcade were also very polite and would talk to you, they even tried to control the children that were going round stealing and basically being vandals whilst parents weren’t bothered. Even if it was extremely strange that they needed so many security within such a small complex - but this did become understandable as the day got on. The caravan did what we needed but was full of stains and broken cups sadly. The pool was booked up but when we looked there was no more than 10 in there for a swim session. The ‘lovely’ Courtney in the swim section is somewhat to be desired. Extremely rude to both adults and children, enjoys to slate families to other workers. People would let their kids run riot everywhere whilst they were getting drunk with kids shouting foul language at other children - I know this is not the parks fault, but something should be done where parents have to go back to their caravan if the kids are being a nuisance. Some of the language that came out of one child’s mouth was utterly vile, he was also drunk within the restaurant as his family looked on laughing. Ended up taking my children out of there before they had finished their tea. I will never stay here again, I used to love Parkdean but this has massively put me off now. I would rather pay more and go to Haven.

Awful place, was expensive considering you can’t even get into the activity. Had kids running around caravan till 3am. Could touch the next caravan from ours. They toilets were disgusting and full of mess. Dirty sanitary towels and poo left . Rude unhelp staff. The list goes on.

I never thought about staying in a caravan so close to home, but it was an amazing experience. Services were amazing. James, the complex manager was very helpful as we're the bar staff in both venues. I've also never felt more safe than I did with the security team. Particular a big lad called dave, looking like a viking I doubt anyone would step out of line when he's in the room. Not only that he's a really nice lad to talk to. Scary but professional at all times. I would definitely be back for abother holiday. Thank you so much everyone

Staying in a lodge which is nice and clean. Boathouse is a good size but did think it could be bigger as the park is large. More take away areas is needed. And parking for reception area is poor not enough room.

Had a great family holiday used as a base for exploring, 2 adults and 16 year old, everyone had a great time , caravan was spotless, comfortable, evening entertainment was good , food in park was good and reasonably priced. Never used the chip van as we drive. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Where to start, we (our group ) own a hobby fendt tabbert. When we arrived there was abit of an issue about owning this German van. Apparently because of the twin wheel. However we gained entry and pulled in and there was many more twin wheels. Also the odd German van. We have come to learn that not many allow this type of van onto there sites so please check prior booking for touring. Anyways our stay was lovely, plenty for the kids. Very clean and entertainment was canny for the bairns too. The beach is quite a hike. But huge and worth the walk for the view. Yuck shop resturant and bar are all fairly priced. Staff were polite and helpful. Touring toilets and showers were immaculate. Washer dryers and sinks to wash dishes are all there too. Will be returning. Enjoyed our stay.

Location, beautiful nothing to fault. People were very loud and played loud music and rode on scooters which weren't allowed around the park Swimming facilities weren't the best and where In time slots which wasn't always good especially as it was my first holiday and I wanted to travel out of park. Entertainment wasn't great either mostly for young children, the singer was very shouty. The room wasn't very clean either and needed a deep clean.

Motor home touring stay. Really good value for money. Staff really helpful and friendly. Shower /toilet block spotlessly clean. Great view of the sea and lovely cliff top walk

This is a extremely large caravan site. I went out of season but definitely wouldn't go in season the amenities are inadequate for the size of park. Club House, arcade and pool small for the amount of people residing at park. Staff were good and approachable.

I love visiting Crimdon Dene, pool is quite small but perfect for the little ones, the view from the park over the sea is amazing. Entertainment was great fun, really friendly the kids loved Elise she made them feel like they were her best friends 😊 Food was great. You get what you pay for caravan wise so if you are going on a budget there are options or if you have a bit more to spend there are places with verandas and outside seating. Already looking to book again for the summer holidays.

This resort was not as good as some of the other ones unfortunately, the staff are not the most helpful and at times looked like they would rather be somewhere else. We went swimming but only got ten minutes in due to the cue taking up all our time in the pool. The setting of the resort is beautiful and has the potential to be a fantastic place but it needs some work to be up to scratch. However if you drive out for the day there are some lovely places around.

The caravan beds were awful, stayed there for 7 days and didn't even get a proper one night sleep. The staff said there would be loads of activities for children on sight but there was absolutely nothing to do. So boring. The swimming pool also smelt so bad. The beach water quality was low and smelt as well. So disappointing. Would not recommend. And definitely won't be visiting again.
