Went
to
Javier’s
with
my
wife
for
breakfast
this
morning.
When
we
arrived,
the
place
was
busy
but
there
were
3
empty
tables
pushed
together
in
the
middle
of
the
restaurant
and
a
small
table
up
against
the
serving
counter.
The
hostess
sat
two
gentleman
at
the
large
table
(in
the
center
of
the
3
tables)
and
told
us
it
would
be
a
few
minutes
wait
for
a
table.
(I
assumed
they
were
not
sitting
guests
at
the
table
adjacent
to
the
counter
to
maintain
egress
for
the
serving
staff).
The
two
gentleman
moved
on
their
own
to
the
end
of
the
3
tables
(presumably
so
that
other
guests
could
be
accommodated).
After
a
10
minute
wait,
another
couple
came
in
and
were
seated
at
the
table
next
to
the
counter
(while
we
were
still
waiting
to
be
seated).
I
asked
my
wife
if
she
had
been
offered
the
table
and
had
asked
to
wait
for
a
different
table
but
she
responded
that
she
was
not
offered
that
table.
We
waited
another
5
minutes
to
see
if
the
hostess
would
separate
the
larger
table
into
a
smaller
configuration
to
accommodate
us
(and
perhaps
another
party)
but
as
easy
as
that
would
have
been
to
do,
the
gesture
was
never
extended.
We
decided
that
Javier’s
didn’t
want
our
business
so
we
left
and
went
elsewhere.
I’ve
seen
other
reviews
referencing
poor
customer
service
but
that
had
never
been
our
experience
in
prior
visits.
This
is
the
first
time
we’ve
been
back
since
COVID
so
apparently
service
has
declined.
With
so
many
choices
out
there
for
breakfast
and
lunch
options,
there’s
no
need
to
patronize
businesses
that
don’t
want
to
serve
their
guests.
We
won’t
be
back.
