The rooms were actually not terrible. The beds were comfortable and the TV worked great. At first, I thought the fridge wasn’t working but it was! The shower could use a little upgrading. The people working there were really cool and nice. The location was actually really good because there wasn’t too much traffic, and there was a McDonalds right there. I’m not from New York, so I actually really enjoyed sitting in the McDonalds and just being in the presence of the local population. A lot of high school students coming in for breakfast with their classic New Yorkian sense of humor. Loved it. There was some nice shopping not to far down the street too. I think there was even a Chuck E. Cheese near by! The elevator was kind of scary so I just took the stairs. The stairwell was only a tiny bit icky. Decently safe area. No concerns or weirdness.

Reserved a suite for my lady's birthday and wanted to add a few items and decor to the room before we both checked in. I called and spoke to a manager, she said to call back the day of check-in . I did so and talked to a Andrew I believe at about 330pm the day of check-in, he stated we don't do that here ever was his second time reply. I informed him I spoke to someone several days ago , and he responded the same as if I were a inconvenience. Are you sure I insisted and the response was the same. So I ended with fine! , ok, I will be there later. A bit disappointed at the lack of communication between people who work there. Also it seemed as if I was a bother to the person who is suppose to be a customer service, front desk individual. May or may not be back , that was out 1st time visit

Stayed there a total of 27 nights during the last 3 months. Desk staff is friendly, but... While there, the water supply for the hotel was shut down for about 5 hours one evening, with no notice given to the guests. Need a shower tonight? you're out of luck. The lobby area/breakfast area were remodeled while i was there, with the breakfast being served out of a different room for about 4 weeks. When i asked if the toaster could be brought in, evidently that was too much to ask. The final two nights i stayed, one of the emergency exits (stairwell and exit) was blocked off, but only on the ground floor. If there had been an actual emergency, guests staying on floors 2-6 would have found themselves unable to exit at the ground floor, and having to go back up the stairs, to the far end of the building to the other emergency exit, and then back down. unless the second floor was on fire. Of the nights i stayed there, only 19 actually managed to end up being included on my rewards account. Evidently, if you don't tell the desk person when you check in to make sure the nights are counted, you can't have them added to your account after you have checked out. The actual rooms were fine, service was sub-par, and the location is just okay. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of options in the area.

Upon checking in we inspected the room and found that the bathroom had not been cleaned well (hairs in the tub and a streaky mirror), the little bottles of mouthwash that were left for us were not replaced (one had a broken seal and no protective cap on it) and the floors were not very clean. When I called the front desk they were quick to offer a new room and apologized for the inconveniences. The second room was cleaner however, the furnishings were no where near as nice. The first room had a nice leather couch, the second room had a couch that looked like it came from a thrift store. The second and third day we were there the hotel was hosting a baseball tournament that they didn't seem prepared for. The breakfast was actually a nice spread as far as hotel food goes but they could not keep up with the demand ran out of several items. They also stopped serving at breakfast at exactly 9 which one a typical day that they weren't fully booked would have been fine. However, with the baseball tournament and lack of food supply there were still many guests waiting in line for food when the staff came around and shut everything down. This showed a complete lack of hospitality. Lastly the pool towels are very small and some of the most uncomfortable towels I've ever used. Drying myself with sandpaper may have been better. Good location, but other than that I would not recommend this hotel

We have stayed here 3 out of the last 4 years and have no issues . The staff are friendly and ready to help. We have stayed in both a suite and a regular room. Both were very comfortable . My husband loves the hot, buffet breakfast each day. We usually stay about 5 days each stay. Our home away from home!

Came down for a wedding, I really liked the place honestly. The only reason I'm giving it two stars for the room is because when we came back from the wedding we noticed the door to our room was open. We obviously made sure to close the door before we left, the doors are heavy and essentially close on their own and the do the disturb sign fell off the handle as we were leaving so we put it back on and the door was fully closed. Luckily nothing was taken but I genuinely forgot to check for cameras. We told the front desk and they said it wouldn't be housekeeping since they left at noon and we left for the wedding at 4ish and that the situation was weird. They tried to offer us another room to stay for the night because it was uncomfortable for sure now, but were unable to find an available room. They just said sorry and we returned to our probably bugged room, maybe I'm paranoid, but I just think something more could have been done there. Either way, we were able to check out late upon request which was nice and the rooms were clean and the bed was comfy.

Nice and clean. Comfortable bed with a choice of pillow thickness and firmness. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

It's on the middle of nowhere, not near anything to do! The staff although very nice seemed inadequate to fulfill there duties! We had booked a double with sleeper sofa(all they had left)got up to it & found a king! Not gonna work!! I'm staying with family & needed at least 2 beds and a cot!! Got back downstairs found another guest had a key to a room that was already occupied (what??) The hotel was booked solid(it's long island on a summer weekend so what else is new)! The next morning before heading out I asked the front desk if housekeeping could change just the double(we were changing guests) he said sure I'll let them know. Got back later to find it hadnt been done(really? This is pathetic)!!!The rates arent cheap either. So I will not be staying here ever again!!

Nice rooms excellent size. Clean hotel Very good breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. The only problem I faced was not enough storage area for my family needs.

The reservation I made was for one king size bed and a pull out bed. We were three people. When we got to the room at 11pm there were no sheets on the pullout couch or in the room. I called the front desk, it took 40 minutes for them to arrive. In the morning we went to take showers the bathroom wasnt the cleanest and there were only 2 towels. So again I called the desk and had to wait 30 minutes for them to arrive, which made us late for the wake we had to attend. And all for $350.00 per night. Never again....

Spent my wedding weekend here in the executive suite. Fabulous from check-in to check out! Great breakfast, too! Would definitely recommend if you need a place in the summer centrally located close to shopping, dining, sightseeing

Before relocating to Florida I lived in the area around this hotel. I decided to stay at this hotel three years ago for the first time because it is close to my family and friends. Since then I have stayed here 5 times and everytime I am very satisfied. I have never had any issues or complaints. The hotel and rooms are always clean and the staff is great. I always stay at this hotel when i wanna go swimming. ( i live locally ) customer service is always awesome! easy checkin, easy checkout. I went to the pool (sole purpose staying at this hotel) and the keypad was broken, i contacted the front desk, they called maintenance and i stood there for over 20 mins with 2 kids, love that. went through the gym to acess pool. My room wasn’t properly cleaned because my baby managed to find a random makeup brush under the couch plus a very large fuzz ball (not a big deal), i went to grab breakfast in the morning (i have a gluten intolerance plus i’m 12+ year vegetarian); i got excited that they had request gluten free food sign (which i did) and of course they didn’t have anything or many options for a vegetarian so i didn’t get to eat. I tried to grab a lemonade from the vending machine upstairs (3rd floor to be exact) and the vending machine ate my two dollars and wouldn’t give it back or let me select a drink, i was pissed. I have NEVER had a bad experience at this hotel before, this was my first bad experience. extremely disappointed especially cause this was my kids first time at a hotel and this is not i was advertised ot what i wanted to offer to my kids.

check your sheets THOROUGHLY. We had some issues, they gave us a new room and thankfully that one was clean. But the damage was done, and I woke up every hour or so checking the bed in the new room. Was quite happy to leave in the morning, and would've left the night before, but it was late, we were tired and can't afford to just be out $160 and go spend another $160 elsewhere so we stayed. Staff was polite. It was october 1st and pool was still closed even though online just said through September. Elevators were also really creepy

My room was nice, comfortable, with good lighting and temp control. Showing some wear - dings in paint, door jams, etc. Nice proximity to SBU and hospital. Convenient shuttle service and friendly drivers.

I had stayed at this location for one night about two weeks ago and I had checked in late, after 1 am, as I had a presentation to present the next morning and was working on it at that time. The customer service I received even at that time of night was excellent. The individual whose first name starts with the letter G, who was working at the reception desk, was kind and helpful. The next morning the two individuals I spoke with, at different times, at the reception desk were equally as kind and provided excellent customer service.
