Great building and fantastic theater with long history. You can learn more about the history of the theater on the second floor. It is usually very popular and might get busy when there is a play.

Watched Doctor Aybolit in small hall upstairs. Never been there before , cosy. Kids loved it! even elder (12 and 14) enjoyed . Sayd that hated plays in primary school , every time like torture , hated pantomime but that is uncomparable , very expressive and enjoyable!

It's a really cool place. It has everything you'd have in a theater : a cloakroom, a waiting room and the theater room. In my opinion the paintings were too abstract so I didn't like them, but I'm no artist. Anyway really cool place and original portrayals of popular stories.

👍 Beautiful place, especially significant for Latvian History as the Independence Restoration was signed exactly there in 1918. But of course, if you plan visiting and seeing a play, it's quite a lottery whether you'll like the experience or not.
