Stevns Klint is an area in Denmark, part of the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage. The rocky shore is 15 km long and is rich in fossils. Between the rocks and the water is a kind of gray clay, the so-called fish glue. Studying it, scientists have found evidence of the fall of Chiksulub, a huge asteroid that struck the Earth near Mexico at the end of the Mesozoic era, 66 million years ago and caused the extinction of 50% of life on Earth, including the dinosaurs. After this incident, the planet sank into complete darkness for two years.

Amazing place for those who like hiking. There are a few local shops along the hike to buy snacks but I recommend bringing your own food and water

Both, the journey to Stevns Klint and the destination are beautiful. If you want to spend a day walking around the beautiful fields and checking out the landscape and the beach, it’s a good getaway from Copenhagen. The walk on the fields is actually very very beautiful and cathartic. Take out some time for fresh air and beautiful landscapes if you love nature and you won’t regret it.

It was nice but a little disappointing as the walk ‘along’ the cliff doesn’t really feel like it’s along the cliff. The light house was interesting but I personally prefer Mons Klint experience, which was amazing!

Cute little chapel along the coastline. Coast is not as dramatic as mons clint but still nice for a nature experience plus it is a closer drive from cph to stevns klint.
